No, it's not about that, if you expect something there is entities on the other side of this world that can hear your thoughts so they will give you all kinds of obstacles and you will never accomplish it. The more you want something less chance of accomplishing it. That is because on energetic level you are too bright in the dark, and your light is attracting this entities to you. Metaphorically speaking. Calm down, always be cold-blooded even if you gain something, because this entities will attack you, they want your negative reaction and negative energy. This explains why when you expect something always opposite happens.
Kratos reminds me a great deal of my own father. Kind of an asshole, but an asshole tempered by hardship. Trying to pass on the same lessons without the suffering that was required to learn them. It made me kind of resentful of him as a teenager, but as an adult I am immensely grateful for it.

One of my favourite scenes is where Kratos has just killed the dark elf king, and they're on the boat home when atreus asks if he saw his mother - leading to the "do not mistake my silence for lack of grief"
“Close your heart to it. on our journey we will be attacked by all manner of creature, close your heart to their desperation close your heart to their suffering do not allow yourself to feel for them, they will not feel for you” This line really hit home for me. I feel like a lot of people have the problem of being overly nice and compassionate. Christopher Judge did an amazing job, yes. But the "need someone else to voice better an older Kratos" is just one more bullshit. It was about *business* , nothing else; casting a _tall_ actor with a large body build to make a full capture (voice, facial, motion capture) at once and not having to assemble them later, much faster and cheaper to do. I am certain TC Carson could have done at least as perfectly as Christopher did, in fact it would have been *the ideal TC himself* voiced Kratos again to perfectly show how Kratos has truly evolved. But the fortunate thing about TC's replacement is they didn't try to bring another sound-alike voice actor which would be so lazy, convenient and artificial (this must have been at least contemplated at first), but someone else with his own particular voice who would perfectly deliver the voice Old Kratos needed to have. And *this* is Christopher Judge's triumph.
I adore the evolution of father-son till the end of the game. This is not a simply game, it can teach people lessons. This is a masterpiece ! I feel pretty empty inside cause i finished it :’(
I love that moment when kratos is holding Atreus as he cries. Like Atreus is literally holding back tears trying to be tough in front of his dad and for once kratos is actually pretty sympathetic there so early in their journey. Such a great moment that showed to Atreus that his father wasn’t going to judge him for having normal feelings after doing something like that to survive. Guilt is totally understandable especially when you’re like 10 years old and just killed your first man lol.
I have learned more about life in this game than I have from anywhere else. I feel like as Kratos was teaching his son on their journey, he was also teaching me. Staying focused, being better, making difficult choices, moving forward when things were difficult. GOW4 and Ragnarok had some of the most important life lessons in them. And that's what made it great. It wasn't just killing and adventure and combat. It was more than that
3:53 While Kratos's abilities of empathy and understanding may have changed dramatically between here and the events of Ragnarok, it is still a valuable lesson for many today: That those who act out of desperation for self gain are rarely well-intentioned enough to care for those around them, so long as they benefit from the aftereffect, be the consequences good or ill. Especially by those who would abuse the good will and trust of others to achieve some selfish goal.

The way Kratos teaches and talk to his son remind me alot of my grandfather. Abrasive, moody, somewhat vain, but underneath all of that is an undying love for his son. Everything he does is to protect and teach Atreus. And I can relate to that
The subtly in the knife is astounding. It still keeps to the idea of finishing what you start. He only helped Atreus start because that is what a parent does, but in the end Atreus is the one that has to do it.
I love how most of the quotes he says in this game are tied to his past life in Greece where he was fueled by anger and he let it consume him its so amazing to see the progress in Kratos' life he went from this savage angry uncontrollable guy to this collected level headed warrior who fights to protect something instead of destroying everything he sees
4:02: _"Close your heart to their desperation. Close your heart to their suffering. Do not allow yourself to feel for them. They will not feel for you."_ To all those who made enemies in life, let Kratos' advice remind you to never show mercy. Also, this line will be my new ringtone.

This just shows that kratos is the purest of a spartan lol he knows so many things about war and how to fight in certain situations lmao the spartans trained him well
16:05 this one hits home. From thr beginning we know Kratos feels Atreus is not ready with the notion that he's speaking on the journey ahead. I think what Kratos was really saying is if he dies, Atraeus will need to be ready to survive on his own. Not just in a fight, but in every situation. When Atraeus saved Kratos using the knife, he did so without Kratos help. This made it apparent to Kratos that Atraeus now has intuition which is the most important thing when it comes to surviving.
" Wars are fought for two things, survival or advantage. Battles may be won by the better soldier, wars are won by those who are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure victory." This really hits, somehow. If we were put into some hard situations, it can fall to survival, or advantage over something. Temporary things may be won by the better in their domain, but for the things that can be last about lifetime or things that really marks our efforts, are won by those who are willing every single thing to ensure victory and worth in process.
I love kratos since i was a kid, but in this game i loved him even more, then i used to love him bcs he is a badass warrior but now i realized how amazing and wise he is, a great character he really is, reminds of my father, he used to be such an angry person but his love for us was far greater but i realized that after i lost him forever.. I see my father in the new kratos and it always make me tear up that i lost him without knowing how much he loved us and all i remember from him is me being a dickhead with him.. Rip father❤
Every time I play or watch this game I just want discipline in all aspects of my life. I wish to be calm, collected and not rush to judgement with things in life.
The one that stuck with me the most is when Kratos says, and its actually overly simple "that was his choice, we make ours". It applies to a lot, and it's a simple way of telling someone to think independently while also at the same time, making them realise that they should think more so that way.
6:13 For those playing the home game. The three fates that are in service to Odin the allfather are Urd, who sees the past, Skuld, who knows the present, and Verdandr, who's seen the future. The three know the exact events of what transpires in ragnarok and Odin makes sure they know to spare him. Atropos of the GREEK sisters of fate said it her self, "there is no greater power than the fates". Obviously this was a "flex" of sorts by Atropos and her 2 sisters, but the tone of that exposition is set across ALL manner of mythos (That have similar personifcations of fate).
Because he's been through a lot like we have, And seen the world and its inhabitants at their best and worst. He knows how ugly it can get, But that it has its silver linings as well.
You know in hindsight, it is kinda crazy how Atreus is loki and the very first thing kratos does with him is kill an animal. Which loki being loki, that would be an incredibly hard thing for him to do because he can really FEEL how the animals around him feel and think. I think that immediately shows how tough mentally Atreus is considering how young he is, and he still kills the deer himself. Kratos helps him make the initial stab but kratos let’s Atreus “finish what he started.” These games are awesome man they’re so layered lol.
When he whispered to him. With his voice soft and light to Atreus. Sounds like a Father who is proud and wants his son to be better. To not make the same mistakes her did in his harsh dark past. Dad Levels are infinite 😢😭
Now I missed my father. I wished more than anything that my father was actually present and taught me all I needed to know. Rather than leaving me like this broken and clueless.
Same. In my case, my dad didn't believe in me when I was young. I also spent most of my time in my studies and I went to different state for high school. He was knowledgeable person but I guess that time he will teach me more after I finish my high school because I have more time and he also looked forward to teach me. Unfortunately, he sudden passing just few months after I graduated left me devastated.

In war a soldier sees beauty only in the blood of his enemy...the rest of him is lost.
A father scarred by life teaching his son how to navigate away from his mistakes….what a beautiful story
"Don't be sorry. Be better." One of the best quotes in the game.
"We will fight it."
"But why?"
"Because you are frightened by it."
"Wars are won by those who are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure Victory" That's deep asf ❤❤
Kratos: You did well.
Mimir: Thanks!
Kratos: The _B O I_ .
Mimir: Just having a little fun, you big grump.
😂😂😂
I love how most of the quotes he says in this game are tied to his past life in Greece where he was fueled by anger and he let it consume him its so amazing to see the progress in Kratos' life he went from this savage angry uncontrollable guy to this collected level headed warrior who fights to protect something instead of destroying everything he sees
I like how Atreus stops responding "Alright, Father.." overtime and says "Yes sir." instead
Dad of War
5:26 is such a careful and nice moment. Not much more to say than it moved me as I watched it.
4:02: _"Close your heart to their desperation. Close your heart to their suffering. Do not allow yourself to feel for them. They will not feel for you."_
To all those who made enemies in life, let Kratos' advice remind you to never show mercy. Also, this line will be my new ringtone.
*looks at my bully*
Hey Bob I wanna talk!
*sharpens axe*
@@amandeepgill5206 My advice to you is that college classmates would be no better. They'll just be as eager to use power on anyone else. I should know because mine were often overgrown thugs with too much muscle and social status.
9:25 is a legit battle tactic, goes to show Kratos's skills as a general, and well... as the god of war
The voice of kratos can influence anyone...
*"Don't be sorry! Be better!"*
“You will fight it because you are afraid of it. “
Well, should the day come that I meet face to face with a panther, it is what it is.
9:52:
"We will fight it, because you are frightened of it". BOSSSSSSSSSS!
*KEEP YOUR EXPECTATIONS LOW AND YOU'LL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED* Greatest line I use till today and always will! 🐐👑
8:37 boi of course i know about war im the goddam god of it

" Wars are fought for two things, survival or advantage. Battles may be won by the better soldier, wars are won by those who are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure victory."
This really hits, somehow. If we were put into some hard situations, it can fall to survival, or advantage over something. Temporary things may be won by the better in their domain, but for the things that can be last about lifetime or things that really marks our efforts, are won by those who are willing every single thing to ensure victory and worth in process.
Kratos: "I'll make a boi out of you!"
"Do not concern yourself in what might be, focus on what is"
I love this one!
I like how kratos soften his voice when he asking atreus if he understand what he saying at the end...
Rip father❤
I love how this Kratos is saying close your heart… little did we know. What it truly meant. Ragnarok was beautiful
Every time I play or watch this game I just want discipline in all aspects of my life. I wish to be calm, collected and not rush to judgement with things in life.
Yes
Try your best brother, ik you can do it
Me: You must be better then me
*My dog shaking in fear and confusion*
The one that stuck with me the most is when Kratos says, and its actually overly simple "that was his choice, we make ours". It applies to a lot, and it's a simple way of telling someone to think independently while also at the same time, making them realise that they should think more so that way.
Something about Kratos casually annihilating dark elves while telling his son how to shoot his arrows is so badass

For those playing the home game.
His little mind must've been blown to have his dad seem like a uncaring grumpy dad to now being somewhat vulnerable and loving
It's almost scary how relatable kratos can sound
Because he's been through a lot like we have, And seen the world and its inhabitants at their best and worst. He knows how ugly it can get, But that it has its silver linings as well.
“Just having a little fun you big grump”. 🤣
6:10 Fates mentioned! I love it!
"Fate is another lie told by the gods. Nothing is written, that cannot be unwritten."
I love that last quote it hits so hard
You forgot..dont be Sorry be better
Great video brah
You olso forgot..we won not because we think we are superior.. but because we are disciplined and determinated
To be fair, "we won not because we think we are superior" is in the video 15:28
“Wars are won by those that are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure victory” clearly Kratos has never heard of a Pyrrhic victory
Missed the final quote where we talked the true with atreus and about killing his own father
“You must be better than me” 🙌🏼😢
Six Seven best lines of gow 😢
Seick S77 I cri evrytim 😢😢😢
Six Seven me too ;(
Now i want to play gow again
When he whispered to him. With his voice soft and light to Atreus. Sounds like a Father who is proud and wants his son to be better. To not make the same mistakes her did in his harsh dark past. Dad Levels are infinite 😢😭
2:55
Atreus : " You want me to hit you ? "
Kratos : " *I want you to try* "
How come nobody mentioned how good the line " for someone so strong, you sure worry a lot" and " it serves me well and keeps me alive".
5:55 is such a great quote
All of them are great, They taught to all the players who have played
This game is so much better than I remember and it already was so shockingly fucking good what the fuck
Kim, I recommend you try to go search for your father and connect with him, if possible.
accuracy over speed, thats powerful
