I run a laser etching store on Etsy and recently tried to set up a POD store...for no reason I was shut down and banned from selling on Etsy. Now I'm afraid my current store is going to be shut down as well. This was great advice, I'm going to create a handful of designs and set up shop on Shopify offering products to writers. Thanks for the great information!

I haven't seem anyone promote a website outside of Etsy. This is a great idea, with all the craziness on people being shut down on etsy. I did POD on etsy in 2020 and in 6 month sold only one tee shirt. So I shut down my store. I have been thinking of opening a POD store with a narrowed down niche, not just mom tee shirts or something like that. But a website sounds much better to avoid all those nasty fees and rules that Etsy enforces. I did all my own designs and etsy took some of them down and said they were to sensitive to post and sell there. So I have been thinking and research for awhile to really figure out my next move. Thanks for the great information. I subscripted to get more information from you.

Hey Joe! Thank you so much for providing all of this valuable info! I joined your FB group and watched the POD for Dummies course, and now I feel like I have a clear idea of how I want to proceed. I have been interested in POD for about 2yrs now and initially became interested by coming across a few really cute niche shops that I have grown to love. I was inspired to grow a business and brand also, but all I ever hear about is Etsy and was a little turned off by how saturated it is. I recently lost my job and in the meantime, I am using my free time to research and build my business using your advice :)

Hello Joe, I hope you can read this, I am from South America, you have no idea how much your content helps, and the borders you cross, your content inspires me a lot, I am starting my store but with WordPress I will enter Shopify when I I feel more confident about my niche, however there is a topic that is not talked about much on RUclips about print on demand and it is about the topic of taxes, I know that this is something that an accountant should look for, but could you do a video explaining more or less your experience with this, what is the issue of taxes when you sell outside your country, do you manage it with apps or how do you do it? Thank you again for your content, you are great and will continue to grow, I hope one day to be like you and expand this great business model in my region

Etsy already suspended my account permanently because their computer bots thought I was trying to sell currency when actually I was just using public domain pics of old US money and putting the images on t shirts. What they did was wrong, but they don't even reach out and attempt to rectify the situation.

Hey Joe so refreshing to find you! I did sign up for your free course thank you! I appreciate your simple brilliance in presenting POD as a fun way to express and offer my inner creative. I’ve regrettably paid for several courses that truly taught me nothing I haven’t been able to source for free and the “help” and “guidance” promised has been lacking to say the least! I’m new to social media and intimidated by how complicated these courses have taught it to be. Probably to justify the “need “ for their expensive course. Yet these creatives are just having fun and those are the ones going viral or being liked. Thanks for keeping it real and sharing your knowledge and experience! I know I can do this and successfully make enough money to at least replace my 9-5. I do need to see the whole process through so I can learn how. Thank you again

Hi Joe, I’m Katie and this is my first time watching your videos, and it won’t be the last. This was a definitely needed video for me. What you outlined in this video is pretty much what I’m gonna do, but I also want to include digital products. I’ve been watching RUclipsrs for about a year. Have I done anything yet? Nope. Not sure if it’s cold feet or being afraid to fail. All I know is I need to start something now and just see how it goes. I’m gonna follow your free tutorial that you mentioned in this video. Finish do you think the best way to do this is take one of your tutorials and get on my laptop and just do it at the same time you’re talking about it? I am a total beginner when it comes to designing anything. Also do much better hands-on but I can show you a shit load of notebooks. I have all kinds of different things. Any suggestions you have for me? I’m greatly appreciate besides what I told you I’m gonna do, I’m gonna be one of your subscribers. Thank you again for unbelievably valuable information you gave in this video. Thank you, Joe.

So, i think, niching down, i will probably do in the future ..i have 0 views on many listings, but my listing that have been seen I'm anywhere from 10% to 100% conversion. Yes, literally one of my listings has 1 view and 1 sale and no it's not someone i knew. I guess I'm just wondering if making a bunch of designs that get seen but not bought, is as bad as not being seen but when seen bought?

EDIT: I think one thing I'm getting from your analysis is that social media has a different 'buy moment'. It feels more unique, in a bubble, like discovering a new band. On Etsy, it's more like bumper stickers or word shirts. Like you know that 1000 other people have the same thing but...who cares?
