  • Making sure your young gymnast get's a pre-workout snack is critical to keeping them healthy. Gymnasts are not able to access stored tissue when it comes to training, so they must rely on what's readily available in their blood and muscles.
    Give them a pre-workout snack that's full of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats but heavier on the carbs, and make sure they eat 1-1 1/2 hours before they practice to make sure it is fully digested.
