As someone who is single and not yet 70 yrs old but still able to get out and about do they have canal boats small enough for a single person? As an ex long distance Hiker, normally that was my choice of holidays for the last 30 yrs, walking/hiking 14 days at a time in the Lake District and Scotland for the last 30 years. Now I want to try something more gentle on my knees. Would you say its suitable?
Hi Tony. You can hire a smaller boat and they are easy to handle. I would say avoid canals with a lot of locks as it's tricky solo to get through them. The beauty of the Mon Brec is very few locks so I would def try this out first.

Very few companies will hire to singles. You'd need to bring a friend along.
