Some of build you can get going in Valhalla are insane! King Hrolf did not stand a chance against infinite realm shift and a beefed up Leviathan axe:) If anyone is curious, it's one of the perfect perks that has a chance to give a relic charge on hits, paired with realm shift and all the buffs and you're literally god.
And the ones with all the frost storms.

How do you do this?
The perk with the lance that change the element with every throw, that, that is overpowered.

Crazy how in lore this dude is just some random king made undead by vague magic, and he put up a better fight against Kratos than every god ever seen onscreen except Odin, Thor and Thanatos.
Yeah the Berserkers were a weird inclusion. Like they could just be strong Asgardian soldiers or something, who are these random berserker guys that are apparently strong enough to take over the entire universe if Kratos wasn't around? The Valkyries being so strong made sense
Not random, all berserkers is family for the last sigrun love. Same family king helgi. Halgi came the same place mimir and sigrun. In love for sigrun but mimir put us for kill the rest of family. The berserkers is decendents helgi. In myth. Helgi kill family sigrun, one brother alive and kill helgi, sigrun make crazy and kill brother.

Hrolf was actually a really great king! He fought bravely and tactfully against the rival king and his stepsister who hated each other, up until the death of him and his Berserker army
Something about Sigrun's epic music, regal presence and back to back flurry of attacks still makes me choose her over Hrolf as the goat GoW boss.

I'm currently on this fight. I can get his health down to nothing but he ends up killing me every time with just a tick of health left!
I finished Valhalla, got all relics, all challenges, All armor skins....
But
There is two things missing Rond of Obliteration and Purification

When I went for second time in the forum I found King Hrolf and defeated him in the first time, it was little bit difficult because I lost one resurrection stone and I never noticed it was Hrolf Kraki until the end where I stabbed his sword in him, then I remembered him

@@bossedup957literally explained in the video have to do all 3 of the secret arena set pieces that pop up when you're playing "desert of lost souls" "Agean sea" those. Complete all 3 then go to the top area that's usually blocked off. It's the forum Kratos fought Hercules in 3 it will have the boss fight

Im doing a run right now and i knew berserkers spawned in the arena but I didn't think the berserker king spawned, i was so scared i was going to lose my run, but i killed him

Considering how fast he could have taken Thor down I don't think Thor is in kratos mind Odin he wasn't even that important throughout the story it seemed like if kratos really wanted to take him down he could have even if y'all will say Odin had kratos and aretus pinned down y'all forgetting that kratos never even went in to Spartan rage that makes him fully invincible he only fought in base strength while holding back that to

I'd argue he'd care more about the death of Thor than Magni. Modi might show up because Atreus murdered him.

Anyone have tips or tricks for Hrolf? What's an effective build against Hrolf here?
I had a nightmare facing him in the base game and that was with you being able to fully customize your build. I'm dreading the need to slog through everything just to get to The Forum only to find out that your build does not work against him (or the other berserkers for that matter).
Don't forget your more powerful in this mode since you can combine builds.
Same took me over 60 times to beat him in the base game.
Best Build is one that has high cooldown and luck + Soulless Assault + The Nine Realms + Scorched Earth dmg + the Hilt of Hofud + perk that offers cooldown on hit.
Then spam Realm Shifts, Runic attacks and Immolation attacks with the blades and you should be sweet.
If you manage to get the perfect perk glyph with the question marks, go into your inventory and delete the glyph, it will then give you an incredibly fast relic recharge that infinitely switches between all of the relics constantly recharging
@@Dante.cl_ returning to my comment after I just got this glyph and holy... This is busted. In my last two runs, I chose the Blade Path and annihilated everything in my path. Then I got this glyph in those two runs as well. I melted Hrolf and Tyr. Insane luck.
Every time I enter the forum or even get somewhere near it my game just immediately crashes. I've lost two runs to this and I want to ask if this is occurring for anyone else? It's considerably annoying.
I'm missing two ronds and the hunter arms and pauldrons I somehow have the chest piece already

The hunter arms and pauldrons is a bug, some get the entire set and some just the chest piece, they have to patch that. For the rond of obliberation you have to beat tyr in the highest difficulty with the thing you craft that nerfs you (i don't remember the item name). And i think no one knows how to get the rond of purification yet.
I got some strange glyph from one of the berserkers, it didn't say what it does, only something about a collector, can someone explain what it is?
So I BELIEVE this is how you get Kratos to remember his daughter and wife, in those special moments

Destroy it when it's in your inventory and it'll give you infinite relics, but they'll randomly cycle through each relic whenever you use it. It's pretty powerful.
@@Snake2410playstation In my head I told myself that maybe I would destroy it and do something... but well, if it did, it's a good thing I didn't do it, I had made a heimdall build
I bought it from the Perfect Perk chest in the Greek area.

Every time i go there it crashes really frustrating if you consider that every time you have to start a new run so 1 and a half hour gone and all the loot disapears toohope they fix this shit

I'm on the highest difficulty, and I can't seem to beat him yet. It's like you have to time everything perfect. I can get him to 30% health before he beats me.
It's a shame we didnt get a Baldur boss fight. In Norse Mythology after he dies he goes to Valhalla to await the battle of Ragnarok.
No he was gone in Helheim!
I'm surprised we didn't get vidar whose the norse god of vengeance, considering how vengeance has been a theme in the greek era
You won't get that boss fight coz Kratos said he doesn't regret killing baulder to save Freya.

Ohhhh, I thought you had to slay exactly 12 of Valhalla's Chosen to get him, since he would be the 13th of the Chosen just like he was the 13th and final berserker in the base game.
(I ended up doing this and I happened to get Hrolf so I thought that was actually the way to get him all this time 😂)

Epic ending, once I unlocked the forum I figured out where I was going to get Skofnung, and it was like, crap not again.
I've been debating about fighting all the bosses on the highest difficulty for a challenge
I look forward to this fight but I'm not a huge fan of that relic. Ive seen big bosses break out of it too many times. I got lucky and got the realm shift relic early and probably wont use anything else.
I hate that berserker king he was so painful for me to beat him and I use every tactics until I finally beat him

You need to improve your runics. You wasted 3 runics, 2 of the blades and a spear when he had the fire shield. You needed to switch to the Axe immediately

This is normal king...new game plus is hardest cause his attacks have follow up attacks...
Wow, I’d be embarrassed to play that badly on Medium difficulty.
I found the easiest way to beat him , every single time I run I always level up my defense to the fucking maxxx and I reroll tokens until I get more defense stats increase and I can take on nonstop damage and still be in the green lol

clearing realm tears add your timer. depending which color you cleared. red adds the most time. then yellow. then black
