You're amazing at what you do, I love the fact that while sharing your gift with us, you are also showing us the work it takes to be as great, thats everything and you do not get this everyday. you are a blessing I/m sure I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate you.
Man you have no idea how on time your videos have been for a project I'm working. Especially the stacking and air techniques. Made the sound 10x better and inadvertently caused me to drink more water in the process. Much appreciated brother.
I’m a rhythm guitarist and now (attempted) vocalist in a thrash metal band but my vocals never sounded well when I recorded separately. Between your videos and not being scared of the mic anymore I’m starting to become a confident vocalist so thank you for helping people like me out
No amount of vocal processing on earth will duplicate the sound of a full 4 or 8 or 16 stack part. If vocal processing was all it took to make a full chorus sounding effect, choirs wouldn’t exist. Why would they need 20-60 people all there to sing a four part harmony when you can get1 to sing it once and then just put magical plugins in that makes it magically sound full? Exactly. Stacking extensively makes a huge difference. IN ADDITION to vocal processing.
You make singing seem so easy! 😩😩😩 I struggle hard with my lead vocals because my voice is so what I think, childish, my backgrounds always sound so full and strong but singing lead is not my fortay. I’m gonna try stacking to see if that gives it some more depth and volume. Thanks Legend!
Ive been writing , recording and producing since....well, lets say I remember when MIDI came on the scene.....Thumbs Up to this track...got Jam/Lewis all over it....Im still taking in every bit of info on production that I can ....Im also a big fan of your videos...good job, dude!....oh yeah..I play keys at my church as well.....
Thanks for your videos, you’re proving us that with a free software you can make amazing songs. I’m learning so much with your videos!!! Keep on the good work! Leïla from France
I know this video is 3 years old but every time I go to look up something about recording you come up first. Really changed a lot about my flow of production
I absolutely loved watching this video! I am looking up videos for my sister. Very educational, real and down to earth. I'm not in the music industry and I'm not even trying to make music haha but I have watched a couple of your videos from beginning to end. Keep doing what you're doing. You're awesome!
This sounds amazing man! You are seriously a big inspiration not only to me but I dont know if people actually understand what they are missing out on from your content!
I'm enjoying your videos and mentorship. Your songs are dope and you really have something special. Thank you for taking the time to teach us your process.
Thank you for sharing these videos. I love how you show the whole process not just the finished product... Voice cracks, inhaler and all LOL! Had no idea how people got all those cool sounding vocals before. Thanks!
This video is clutch, I've been recording rap vocals my whole life, starting 2 branch out to RnB, and had very little of an idea of get the sound I need. I liked/subbed And dope track my dude
Love your work, love how effortless you make the process look. You're such a breath of fresh air when it comes to making music. You enjoy it, you understand it and it shines through even over this video. Thank you for being real, honest and authentic. Your music, lyrics and production are TOP NOTCH! I am a fan!
I’m glad someone sees it and doesn’t just see that I’m uploading nonsense lol.Takes a lot of time and effort to make these while also still enjoying the process.
Oh man thank you very much, I've been waiting for another one of your Garageband videos, since your last one my songs have elevated with vocal stacking. Thanks man
So much joy watching this, thank you for the valuable information this helps in me in getting a better idea of how to record vocals, I work in GarageBand ios and this is still very helpful 💪🏾
This video helped me so much. I rap so I hardly do things like this but now that I understand it more, I will for sure work on more stuff including this. Thank you again.
Def! Great tut! So yeah...to continue the comment on your last vid? Vocal arrangement tuts would be a great addition to your library! And...by the looks of all the comment? Mighr be something to explore in a more granular sense of helping people out just like when you go through people's songs. But this time? down to the bone vocal work/play! Last but Not least? Great voice! I hear MJ a lot in your inflections! Roll with it!
Love from Nigeria ever since I watched your video on setting up home studio I have been gathering resources. I think you are a great brother in this industries God bless you. How many songs should be in an ideal musical album if I may ask please?
Thanks for the info bro, you truly are a blessing. Now I can actually make a track or two because what took so long for me to learn from other people you showed me in in10 min lol. Keep up the good work and all the best in your endevers
Thanks so much for sharing your talents and music!! I love the reassurance that Garage band can do some pretty cool things. And your music is AWESOME!!
Another well done informative vocal production video. I am curious have you ever thought of going into a let's say a well known or fairly reputable studio and get yourself recorded then be able to compare it to one of your own recordings ? Also, I would do one, without any of your input, have them print it. Then at the same time do one where you tell them what to change/add etc.. You have a good voice, so I'm curious how much better would it be or not ? Of course mixing would have to be a separate issue. Don't now about you, but if I had the choice and if it is was not to cost prohibitive, I would use Stakonia studio in Atalanta, the same studio that "Mrs Jackson" was recorded! That it one of the cleanest, tightest and perfectly recorded songs I've ever heard, the compression was bang on ! Maxed out to the fullest! Nice work.
Bro you have taught me so much over these vocals and harmonies and stacking videos bro , underrated af! And it’s good so I can have my own teacher in a way hah ! Much love thank you 🙏🏽
Hey there Lxgend I found an example of a song where the whisper stack is used and easily heard... I have an AA in Music Performance so wanted to say great job and keep them coming you're the best... Jason Clark
Keep up the vids, you're half way to 100,000 subs. I haven't watched all the videos but I've obtained some GarageBand knowledge from them already. Keep it up 👍

You're amazing! I can't wait to hear the finished song. I wanna buy your whole album! Would you say these stacking techniques only work for RnB music or different genres too?
Bro you are a blessing for the little people...now I know how and what it takes to record good vocals, thanks you sooooooooooo much brother

You would be incorrect. But please continue.

How many songs should be in an ideal musical album if I may ask please?
It can be anywhere from 3-30. It depends entirely on you and how many you want to do. The average album these days is around 12 songs.

Your vocals sound amazing dry, js. Thanks for this.
Thank you! This is really great advice and insight!
How do you ensure that when the harmonies are being recorded, they are all even, similar and on sync?
