Those harmony parts in the lead vocal breaks are gold.
WOW! This is proof that you can create amazing covers with minimal programming and equipment. You really have a knowledge of how to maximize what you're using, and it's obvious that the passion is there. Way to make something iconic into something original! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, this helped me a ton (:

Same
Oh wow! I love the final recording! All of your harmonies, everything!
I have been singing my whole life, play some instruments, sang with a band and sing randomly at parties, but have never tried recording so thought I'd look up Garage Band Tutorials.
Yours is the firs one that I chose because I want to record my own harmonies, too.
I'm going to see how I do with what you're shown us here.
You are clearly very talented and I'm going to watch more of you videos.
Thanks a lot!
Janice
Your music takes me to that place. Much love for teaching me the ins and outs and now I can record my own music. Much love bro keep that fire burning you truly are LEGEND

Keep going, brother. You're killing it!! Nice talent that someday someone is going to appreciate.
At 7:48 when that new harmony part was added! Heck yess, sounded great :)
And how it all came together at the end, vocals and instruments, sounded so good!

The moment you started singing ya Annies 🥺 I couldn’t hit the subscribe fast enough. Yesss!! Keep singing teach
Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Hahahah
This is awesome... I have used the overlap with re recording for dynamics but the inserts, the harmonies, the key setting, are amazing. I do country so for me, the best part was how you set the background vocal to sound like a 4 singer backup setup. Great stuff to add to my ball of twine. Thank you my friend!
Super cool !! Thank you for this .. incredible talent you have !
thanks so much. very informative and helpfull for a newbie like me in GB. also you are super talented all around. very impressed! love the harmonies!

Dude! That intro alone slayed my life!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yaaaassssss
O M G sooo good and so helpful!!! Thank you for sharing
Bro you opened up with that SWEEET demonstration. And THAT'S what I'm lookin to do. So many other producers have pretty dry/boring intros and I dont even know if what their technique is something I'm looking for till END of the video.
MUCH appreciated!
Wow!!! This was VALUABLE information man! You are amazing!

Dude this was much need 👏🏽👏🏽 I definitely need tutorials and could you do one about the essentials for an in home studio please?
You mean other than the one I already did? Cuz those are basically my essentials for home studios. You saw it right?
Mochahontas ;iii
I couldn't agree more.
@@IAMLXGEND Imma have to check that out. This is the first and Only one I've seen but I will definitely be watching more.
Sweet bro! Just what I needed! I’m trying to make music, both rapping and singing and hate auto tune to the core. I want to use skill and passion to make my music. So I respect you teaching people the right way. It will help me out a lot, thanks man. And good luck to all those wishing to become true musicians. Travis Scott and all those auto rappers don’t got much skill. It’s not me hating, it’s just a simple fact
This is awesome and so informative. I am a new fan and subbed!
I'vee been trying to make this effect for so long, this made it so clear, thank you so much! You got a new sub
Damn I was close, I’ve been doing everything you said but only with two stacked vocals and no panning. This will help a lot, thank you.
Nice. I’m just now getting into recording my own vocals. So this this great for someone like me who’s just starting out
Definitely dope and appreciate the comment. I’m always out to inspire and help people so this is great to hear
👏🏾you killed this song. You are a talented singer and great producer. Your tips and videos are excellent. Thank you👍🏾
Really good video bro!! Very helpful 👊🏾👊🏾
Excellent! Did you know the Beatles also dubbed their voices to get a fuller sound?
They truly are legends, I am not surprised. They knew what they were doing!!! That is an awesome fun fact that I actually didn’t know
That’s really awesome to know!
“Double-tracking”, that’s what they call. 🙂
duuude this helped SO much thank you so much for sharing!!! can you do a video about compression, EQ, low end, high end, high pass/ low pass filters?? Well in terms of how to apply those concepts on vocals or instruments!
Yea I have a video on EQ and how lows, highs, and mids work in Garageband here: ruclips.net/video/jEaELhJbCk4/видео.html
The video is about vocals but same can be applied to instruments as well with some exceptions.
Also really glad I could help
Results are absolutely fire!! Thank you for this!
You’re absolutely welcome ✌🏾
Honestly, you are a legend! Thanks for an amazingly informative video! Subscribed!!
I agree you are “LXGEND” and Legendary, thank you for uping my game for this boomer, much appreciated well worth a sub
I appreciate it man.
Wow wow wow!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amazing tutorial and Perfect voice man🔥🔥
You rule man! Beautiful voice and compositions! :) Congrats, thanks for share!
I can tell u Michael Jackson fan
Of course! One of the reasons I ever became an artist.
IAMLXGEND hey can u plz make a video on how to write your own love song?
Me TOO, I can definitely tell. And that's a great thing. I am always glad to come across people who are influenced by the one and ONLY King of POP.
@@IAMLXGEND we in this then as many other famous people too
@@demongamer6338 you cant teach someone how write a song.
Its learned
That comes from the heart
Either you have it or not.
Damn dude! Thx
Hahaha you’re welcome man
You literally are a legend, Im so ready to make music again and you inspired me, Im learning how to use my talent to its full potential
You are a great teacher. Very good at staying to the point
dude.. ur skills mad like Berklee. thanks for this!
oh yeah u look like Abel from The Weeknd
Hahah I've never heard that term before. Mad like berklee. Like the college? hahaha Thank YOU! And man, you've got to be like the 100th person to tell me this lol. I don't see it.
For anyone one new to the video an easier way to find the key of a beat or instrumental so you’re able to use the auto tune just use a site called audio key chain. U upload your instrumental and it tells you the key
I can’t vouch for that it say it’s accurate but if it works for you then that’s dope!
Really amazing what you can do and what a great teacher. So cool
This video felt like a magic show
Much love and much respect ❤️
Hi. Really good video! Just had a quick follow up question, after u did all recordings and set the pan, what other effects did u add to the recordings while mastering? Reverb and delays?
Thanks a lot Bilal. I actually speak about that and I think I show it in the video. I don't really add many effects I just tweak the settings on the template I selected. I like a lot of compression so I add that. No delays. Some reverb.
Good stuff. F%?& I just love the harmonies. QUESTION: Where did you get the music? GB Loops?
I made the music. No loops.
Well then, I'm officially jealous of your skills :-)
RBastien my guy the track name of the loop literally says that right groove, jason derulo and Chris Brown.
@@RobBastien haha lol
Awesome tutorial! Thank you. Your very talented too!
This changes everything, cha ching! great video
DUDE 2018 STILL HAVE CDs ? lolz i love ur work thank u
Not sure what you’re referring to lol but thank you
IAMLXGEND blank discs by the window
I have something for you to sniff oh those are all from 10-15 years ago. Before I had external hard drives I had to burn my fl studio beats to disks for storage.
@@IAMLXGEND bro can u tell me your exact set up...im lovin your sryle
This was so dope. I use GarageBand too and then. Fly the Vocals to Logic X if I need a more professional mix. My question is did you use any outside pluggins because this is really good. Granted your a beast vocally but the sound quality goes !!!
Nah, I actually only use whatever is in GarageBand 🤣 the bare minimum. I just do the dubbing with each vocal harmony (4 recordings for each note), 1 lead, and then I fiddle around with the EQ and effects until I like what I hear and mix/master to the best of my ability (I’m no pro at mixing). Equipment also helps, I have a pretty decent mic and an average preamp.
So many people sleep on GarageBand lol.... Its not the amount of money you use to buy programs... Its how you use the program that you have. Thanks for proving it in this tutorial!
Exactly!!! Funny thing is I had pro-tools before GarageBand. WAAAAAAY too complicated and I feel every song I made in protools sounded like complete garbage compared to what I made in GarageBand. After protools got outdated in my Mac I couldn’t afford the new update so I used GarageBand and never even looked back. Sure I will son need to step up at least to logic for more features but it’s such a good program.
Thank you so much for this first of all.The one ear out of the headphone cans, HUGE help. I was listening to some of my live stuff recently and was like "why am I so off pitch when I just "knew" I was singing on pitch" Thanks again on that. One point of reference you refer to "4 recordings for each note". The word "note" should be part meaning alto soprano tenor bass. I did get the lesson and the meaning. Subscribed and going to watch more
Mannnnnnn. Man! Yoooooooo!!!! That was so AMAZING!!!! First thank you for the tutorial. I have been trying for years to lay my harmonies and vocals in a way that sounds full like this. Second that arrangement is soooooo DOPE!!!! Love it!!!!!
awesome video bro crazyyyy vibeee astonishing vocals
