- A few edited clips from the filming in Grassington for the Christmas Episode of All Creatures Great and Small. Despite filming in glorious sunshine in May, special effects department were able to create the atmosphere of a cold sunny day in December!
I was there during the preliminaries setting up .... geez - it was over 80F!!! The actors had to weather that all dressed up in wool! Great show ... wonderful location!
I truly love this show it is absolutely brilliant, entertaining, funny, with a beautiful lesson to be enjoyed by one & all. I absolutely so totally look forward to every single Sunday. I look forward to this show, it gives me the will to make it through each week.I watch it at the 2 different hours it is programmed. Thank you for everything you do to make this show so entertaining, it truly makes you wish you lived life their at All Creatures Great & Small. Thank you.
Anna Madely is stellar, really good. She is quietly, perfectly embodies Mrs. Hall and reveals just enough of her inner life (proper but maybe a little wild, too) to make a viewer take notice.

Mrs. Hall is offered to us beautifully realized by Anna Madeley who captures an essence of the real person from the writer and the first interpretation by a stellar, accomplished actress, and so she lives on for a new generation or two to learn from a bit.
Can't wait to see the finished product!
How is it so few people have such ( human or moral ) values nowadays as in those days? Not just in England but here in America as well? Someone on that set knows and (or) remembers those God given qualities people used to possess. It's one tremendously great show. I won't miss it when it comes on.
I hope the guy holding the boom was well compensated! That looks like a tough job!

It’s funny to see the cast and extras dressed in what is supposed to be a winter time scene and the production crew in shorts and bare sleeves lol

Why film Christmas in the height of summer? The green leaves are a bit of an issue. The sunlight is totally different.
