- @JoeyMantiaSkates hit me up to tell me he was on his way to NYC and he wanted to do some skating.
I hit up Angelia who I haven't seen in a while who used to be a big Mantia fan (ask her if she's still a fan), we hung out and made our way over to BBQ that was hosted by our friend Dan (the fellow who introduced me to Wednesday Night Skate, but that's a story for another time). We start at my apartment on the Upper West Side and we end up in Williamsburg which is in Brooklyn.
Just 3 friends goofing off, skating through the city. This is what it's all about.

It's so freaking cool to see joey doing a bunch of stuff that you wouldn't think a speed skater would know or do. I mean, such clean slides tho.
I started rollerblading 2 months ago, you've been an inspiration to me... I try to do it everyday, or whenever I can, every day I see improvements but today I was distracted talking on the phone and trying to skate side ways and fell into a glass bottle on the floor (who the hell leaves glass bottles on bike roads?) but definitely going back tomorrow to be better than today!!!

Joey’s an arrogant skater. Always has been. Take Bill Stoppard as a fine example, he’s twice as powerful, humble and smooks Joey on any given day. Ari’s humble too - one heck of a skater - respect.

I agree with Joey about skating backwards, it serves no purpose outside of roller hockey and showing off. Skating backwards reminds me of Powdered Toast Man. Fingers crossed that PS sends you a Sam Crofts model to review.

Completely disagree. It’s easier than skating forwards. Leading with your lower center of gravity makes falling forward near impossible. If I weren’t for having to look over my shoulder to see where I’m going, I’d skate backwards all the time!
As a skater from the Philippines, I envy the nice roads. In our country we normally skates on bumpy roads full of uneven surfaces and small holes lol.

Ive been city skating for 3+ years now and I also do not do backwards 😅 I know it makes me less good at skating but it poses extremely high risk of falling as backwards is something my body is not used to from young age.
Skating forwards is fun too! Everyone has their own approach and it's all beautiful

I sometimes like to rent roller blades & ice skates. But most times, they end up hurting/crushing my feet. So is it better to buy a custom ones? Or do you have any tips to customize the generic ones?

Can you get a pair of Atmos Gear would like to see a real good skater on them. Skated in Osaka, Kobe, CA, Boston, NYC. New York city was most fun. Can you do a powerslide i never could only a hocky stop..

Great show! Congratulation... By the way, did you know that there are three types of rollerskaters: Those with properly fitted helmet, those without helmet & those with loosely fitted helmet. The first one likes their skull, although they might overestimate its value, the second type prefers their comfort vs their longevity, & the third type with loosely fitted helmet who don't give a sh... about their usefulness on earth & could be right about that. The third type puts up with all the discomfort of wearing a helmet & none of its advantage...Same for skateboarders:
