  • In 2005, Brad Soden invented a modified wheelchair for his wife Liz, who is paralyzed from the waist down, so she could actively participate in more activities with their family. These fearsome-looking machines can traverse rugged hillsides, sandy beaches and snowy embankments. The government should be required to provide vets with these free of charge if they are paralyzed during service.

    • @MrSkypony
      @MrSkypony 9 лет назад +11

      LouPremo There is a slim chance that the VA will pay for one if you push the right buttons and have a VA doctor that will help you. The VA will give you 1 standard power chair and 1 sport chair which the track chairs are, but like I said you have to have a good doctor willing to say you need one to help you get your life back as much as possible. Also you might check with some of the places that do things for veterans that are in chairs but need something like this. I found one but they only give out about 5 a year since that is all the money they have donated to them. I had the interview and waiting to hear now if I get one. They go by what you will be able to do if they give you one. Me, I have always hunted but for the last few years I couldn't due to only having a regular power chair plus I love to go sit on the beach and fish and it takes a tracked chair to get on the sand or you will be stuck. Talk to your VA doctor and maybe they will get you one.

I usually end up seating for hours waiting for my family to return from their hikes. I see that you need a large truck to move your wheelchair from place to place. You and I have a lot in common, I give it away all the time, that warm humble feeling is what is called "To give is better than to receive" ! Keep doing the "right thing" it comes back at you 10 fold....

    I tried joining the navy back in 1980 (I’m old) but had to many medical problems. Now at 64 I have a condition that is deteriorating my lower spine. I walk with a cane and one day (hopefully not soon) that won’t be enough.
    I just hope when the time comes I might be able to get one of your tanks or maybe someone else’s design as I truly support entrepreneurs like yourself.
    Thank you,
    Joanna L

    My brother has CP and has been in a wheelchair since birth. My best friend became paraplegic 11 years ago in a car accident. I love what this dude is doing after watching how much someone in a wheelchair can suffer my whole life.

    I'm an old man now but I wish you could have helped me twenty five years ago. I had to give up everything I love because the wheelchair I can get won't even move in my stones in the driveway let alone take me in the woods hunting and fishing . God I miss what I grew up doing wasn't a day I wasn't doing one or the other. Even when I got married I timed it so I wouldn't miss hunting and fishing. We had it pretty good for 4 years my wife and I then in 1979 my world ended we lost everything to doctors and hospitals and debt over a million they took so much then finally stopped asking . We had two baby girls and me crippled my wife's a saint were still together it will be 42 years in April. But enough about my troubles I hope if you find another guy or girl who needs your machine thank you for inventing a real life saver . I don't know how I made it but I did even beat death in 2009 massive pulmonary embolism killed me but clot buster drug brought me back. So thank god I lived to see this and many more great things . I'm gran pop now no good but I can watch her till I'm gone no playtime but she knows pop pop stays in bed or wheelchair on the sidewalk . May God bless you with people who can afford your tank chairs. I can't but that's ok. With great respect to you I write this. Gary the Silverbullet

    Too bad the majority of disabled people like me, will never have one of those, because we live on a very limited income, and have no possible way to purchase one. so I watched enough. they are nice. Yes I would love to have one. And it would major enhance my life, But, big problem. Can not afford one. so that is it. Nice equipment.
