Easily Bentayga for me! Both with a lot to like but RR is way to big, I personally find the split tail-gate stupid and there is still a issue with the reliability. Great interior though, really like it.
Exactly! The RR would be pretty much perfect...if it wasnt for its legendery un-reliability...and the split gate which to me,is the dumbest invention ever.Super un-practical for the daily activities, existing for the absolutely offchance, that you ll fancy sitting on it at some point.
One objective that wasn't covered in the final analysis was build and material quality, where Bentley is easily superior. Otherwise a very good review.

Only at the car wash….. 🎶 Range Rover brand loyalty in the UK is amazing - loads of owners buy one after another, despite some slightly dodgy reliability and poor dealers.
24' RR Autobiography for me! An amazing ride on 23s, looks great, and is a true SUV. The ride position, the room and space makes it stand out from the crossover SUV look and size. The rear executive seats with hot stone massage and conforming headrests are amazing. Its also a bargain compared to the Bentley and the Rolls Royce.
Excellent review of two impressive vehicles. I really enjoyed your intelligent, well presented examination of these cars. You have a great voice and diction, you know your stuff, but you do it quietly and confidently. No gimmicks. Both cars are completely ludicrous in size, weight and price. Especially with the ISA rules coming in 500+ bhp is a very slightly OTT. If you are choosing, the RR has far more presence. Parking bays???? That would be a good test...
@@Alan-321 is this a legit question or are you just a clueless child with his mommy's phone? You may as well ask why the UN don't buy their staff Rolex watches and why they don't serve caviar at lunch? 😂

Lol I don't believe this. I'm 6'2" tall and had a tiny yaris hatchback in the past. I never had any issue of my head hitting the roofline or struggling to enter the car. So how's a car as massive as the bentayga give such issues? Be real man
For me, reliability (or lack of it) would be a game-changer. All Land Rovers have been the most unreliable of all cars for years. What good is a car if there are constant problems with it?
I was trying to choose between these two for a while. I had a pre order for a L460 AB and sold it with a 40k profit. But then went back with the RR anyway. The Bentley seats and suspension are just not tuned right for something that’s going off road. Which in my case it has to. If you’re just pounding tarmac the Bentley is nice. But it’s way more limited.
As a drivers car and for the interior it has to be the Bentley. I like the range rover but the interior is abit too Volvo for me and it's simply getting too wide for our lanes.
One could see you were going to "up" the Rang Rover over the Bentley. If you did the same again but with the Milliner spec Speed with the 4 seat configuration, one would see the bentley are the winers.
Great review thank you. I love that both cars offer a different approach and their own distinct character. For me, it would be the Range Rover without hesitation. Beautiful looking vehicle and I love the interior design, i think JLR have done an amazing job.
Both great cars. But the delivery times (for me) would be unacceptable. 12-24 months for the RR. It would have had at least one facelift during that time. My advice, did it recently. Go into a dealer and ask what models they have already in build. Or buy one from stock. Ordering to build times are ridiculous.
The fully electric version is said to be released in 2024, I doubt a facelift would take place in 2 years, maybe in 4-6 based off how they facelift Range Rovers in the past and there is a good few of these popping up for sale every now and then depending on where you are in the world, but you’re advice of popping into a dealer is pretty smart.
The Bentayga range has much more variety than the Range Rover. You can get that azure models which become more comfortable than the Range Rover, or you can get the s which makes it much sportier with a firmer suspension, or get one of the fastest suvs in the world with the speed. Or the EWB if you want to be chauffeured. If you want a more fuel efficient car, u can get a hybrid.

@@paulstaffordcook8799 Many people seem to have a baffling need to bleat on and on like a distressed ewe about the unreliability of some cars. I think the root of this sickness is probably psycho-sexual in nature.
A lot do mention the fact that Land Rover has a history of unreliability, but they don’t stay on the subject for long, journalists want to be able to receive cars again, but they have actually improved on reliability especially with the new ingenium inline 6 engines, which have been pretty good on the new Defender and new Range Rover and new Range Rover Sport so far, the inline 3 and 4 irritations found in other models are okay as well, but they need very strict servicing, the 4.4 V8 in the new Range Rover models is okay in terms of reliability but it’s not the one to go for if you want reliability, however there’s still issues with software and electronics, I know of one press car where the door handles stopped working and it had a few other electrical related issues, and I’ve heard of other new Range Rovers with similar issues, so mechanically they seem a lot better, everything else seems slightly better or the same.

Horsepower isn’t everything, and the Model X doesn’t compare to these 2 by any metric other than tech and acceleration, luxury and interior goes to these 2 all day, driving experience as well, off road ability without a doubt, towing as well, design overall yep, practicality lmao, longevity is debatable but if you maintain these 2 they’re far less likely to total themselves out like the model X will after a decade, and since they came out in 2016 and you can already find variants of the model x in the 40s and a new battery is around 22, the story writes itself and we’ve already seen this situation too many a time with the Model S, and the Model X has a drag coefficient that’s only 0.05 better than the Range Rovers even though the Model X is horrendously ugly and poorly proportioned to lessen drag, I’d rather a good looking SUV over an almost irrelevant amount of drag, not to mention the disadvantages of having an EV in todays world over the irrelevant benefit for people who buy such vehicles like the Bentley and Range Rover, also EV’s with similar power to weight ratios often feel the same and have no defining character or feel, and even then after a few pulls in any performance focused EV it gets a bit boring and predictable, the only times it’s fun is when you see a Ferrari 458 in your rear view, and that situation barely occurs for any justification.
