Asia has been my home since 2013 when I moved to South Korea to teach English. Over the last 8 years, I've lived in Vietnam, the Philippines and currently Thailand -- and I've been to every country on the beautiful continent of Asia.
Each culture in Asia is very unique -- from religions to traditions, nature, history, cuisines and rituals -- and it provides endless opportunities to learn and discover. But above anything else, THE PEOPLE of Asia are the most hospitable and welcoming as they come.
Admittedly, it has been very hard to choose only 7 of my favorite Asian countries to feature in this video (because I truly love every place for a different reason) -- but when it all comes down to it, these would be my 7 favorite countries on this amazing place called Asia!

PS - I kept this video limited to East/South/Southeast Asian countries. While the Middle East and West/Central Asia are technically Asian countries, I consider them very culturally different. Iran and Tajikistan would be on this list if it was all of Asia!

As a Filipino, aside from my home country, I've always loved:

Although I've met a few bad eggs, most of the people I've met from these countries are very kind, down to Earth and beautiful people, making it very easy to be friends with them, especially Indians.

1. Taiwan, ROC: friendly people, stunning landscape, awesome food
2. Japan: great culture and awesome nature, volcanoes, food and friendly people
3. Malaysia: great biodiversity and amazing food, the people that I can relate with easily due to my background
4. Oman: In my opinion, the most underrated Gulf country, fantastic forts and unique culture, dramatic landscape
5. Sri Lanka: palm trees and beaches, great food and culture and friendly locals

1. Japan - Been here more than 10 times and like what you've said its the country I will visit for the rest of my life.
2. Nepal - Momo is yummy! I also love Patan, Bhaktaphur and Kathmandu's Durban Square
3. Indonesia - Bali and Yogyakarta for its tradition
4. Myanmar - visiting temples in Bagan while riding a bicycle.
5. Vietnam - Iced Coffee, Ban Mi and Pho 😊
6. India - Jaipur and Agra. I love the historic sites.
7. South Korea - Beautiful during winter and Autumn.
You have to visit kashmir Himalayas, and South india it's like a total different from north India 5 states 5 languages and historic temples. Some temples have billion dollars gold in it.

Why do Americans and Canadians go to the Bahamas? We just go for vacationing. Southeast Asia is really fun to visit as tourists. And not quite sure about China, but in Korea and Japan we don't have beaches like Cebu because our countries are pretty northern. Even the southernmost Korean and Japanese islands aren't really made for beaches. So we go to places like the Philippines instead.
Actually Japan have magnificent beaches because like Philippines they are an Island country. Look up Okinawa, Miyakojima, Yurigahama Beach. I agree Korea and China doesn't many that's why China is building man made Island in the China sea.I think most Japanese go there for the women.
