I’m fairly certain my husband is codependent and I suspect I am as well. We are opposites of one another though, so it’s hard to tell. Your video is helpful in my understanding how I’m being codependent and it’s a good place to start on addressing what I can do to change our unhealthy relationship patterns. He refuses to go to counseling with me or on his own, and it’s been hard to function trying to work on me but not understanding why he upsets me so much. We have three special needs children and he was active duty military for 20 years, so other demands were always taking all my energy so I didn’t take the time to really dig. I think couples therapy might have helped me see the issues sooner but I’m glad to finally have a good starting point to working on me.

I have to watch for a few minutes and then take a break. The “in trouble feeling “ really resonates with me. Even while watching it be described.
