He has a lot of weight in the hip-hop podcast space because of the numbers he's put up and the revenue he brings. Like diddy...people actively don't like him but remain civil because of the weight he holds. If it wasn't a secret meeting then why was it a issue that parks said something? If it's not a secret then it's no problem to just tell Joe. This is why friends and work can get real tricky and if there are issues the staff needs to have staff meetings and be able to express themselves to Joe on issues. All issues aren't valid either just because u are working harder then usual doesn't always mean u are underpaid sometimes at the job you have to do more work then usual for the business to be successful and sometimes it's less work to do but does that mean u should get paid less.
Because sometimes it’s what you DONT say. “Hey a secret meeting happened and you should make some calls but I’m not gonna tell you what was said” is wack because it just plays on paranoia and ratchets up tension

What they forget in this clip is by then Patreon had started so people were getting overworked and they saw it and Savon doesn’t even say R n M brought it up they may have just agreed. Seems like the "meeting" wasn't secret or planned. Some of the conversation might've been. But, then again, Joe knew there were questions about the money (hence the soreadsheet), so nothing said was a surprise. I think the way Parks relayed the message put 10 on 10, but Joe already knew of the issues.

Man these dudes are horrible liars. It seems clear that they waited until Joe left that night to complain to Rory and Mal that they were overworked and underpaid. They either figured Parks wasn’t going to snitch or thought the risk was worth it since they likely weren’t going to be able to catch Rory and Mal alone for a while.
