Vince Staples is 100% right. You can't talk about generational wealth when these dudes not even taking the idea of family serious, on top of having bad spending habits.
Facts
The whole idea of artists feeling like their art should pay for their grandkids to never work is just ridiculous imo. In any genre of art or music. Good for them if it does but we gotta look at how much we pay these people in general.
U holding up the wall and you missing the point
100% it’s a good point but he’s also missing the part of if u aren’t spending money like it’s coming out ur ass then u end up being a nobody in the industry. What he’s saying is basically once ur hot in the industry and u get the big cheque quit music immediately and become and investor with the capital u just got. Cause otherwise the fame is gonna eat up all ur money
@@dcsstephens410 that’s a very good take
Vince’s delivery is so raw, he’s gentle and aggressive at the same time with a comedic tone makes it everything
Facts
Yea I like how you put that
He be dead ass serious tho
💯When you speaking facts and not opinions you can speak with confidence, it don’t take a lot of extra energy and gestures to get a point across.
Just how LA ppl talk😂
I LOVE Vince. He might tell a joke but he’ll never tell a lie! One of the realest, smartest ones out here
Funny thing is most times he isn't trying to be funny.
Thanks for not saying realist
He’s like a Dave Chappelle
@@88ntilDave and vince actually hang out
Shut up with that overused corny line
Joe proves time and time again that being a old dude with some money doesn’t mean your smart or wise lmao
Joe might be the most articulate dumb person ever. He’s so articulate he can win any argument with most of the dumb niggas in hip hop, while also articulate enough to gaslight and move goalposts when someone smarter clearly proves him wrong lol
You have to remember the smartest of men allow display of them not knowing all yet benefit from it
What older guy that think he knows everything are you mad at in your life? 😂. Cause age had nothing to do with this convo 😂😂😂.
Joe not use to being around anyone that’s smarter, more confident, informed and articulate then him.
Soon as he get in that environment, he blowing it up somehow 😂
Facts😂!
Joe isnt even articulate...
Vince and Joe are the kinda guys who'd probably be best friends😂. Both 0 chill, both -5% filter
Noooo he is all about a debate. Lol he lives to oppose!
This why a conversation with Joe ultimately goes nowhere.. he can never be wrong even when presented with facts he just love to argue lmao
Wasn’t an argument, it’s a debate. Don’t let a mf knock you off yo square cuz of some facts, there’s facts to support ANY statement damn near
He said he saw his point, at the very end. That as close as we'll probably get lol.
@@SUPERZAYAN1that makes zero sense. If you are wrong when presented with facts, why not just admit you were wrong? Why still debate if you are proven wrong?
@@wilsonmatt781 it’s a podcast lol at this point you should know jbp argues just for the sake of it.
😭😭absolutely nowhere , he’s done this for so many years he’ll move a goal post til you don’t even know what y’all talking about anymore
Joe just can’t be wrong 😂 shout out to vince for breaking it down while still being articulate and funny.
Vince Staples always bringing a breath of fresh air to the podcast
🍆🚴 relax bro
@@robdrix8413so what I’m saying is false?
@@robdrix8413stop projecting yo
U not lying
@@robdrix8413them emojis had me dying laughing 🤣🤣🤣⛹🏽⛹🏽
And that right there is the closest we’ve seen Joe admit defeat in an argument 😂
All this talk about generational wealth and the culture hates marriage. Thank you, Vince.
I like that Vince is talking realistically. These rappers make people think that money comes and goes easy.
Well, technically it does. Think about u working, most ppl check is gone before it even hit their account. Rappers make it seem like they get endless amounts of money, with no off days. That's the cap.
@@slimthizzle11broke mentality keeps you broke. Your mindset
@@slimthizzle11right but that’s because we are making below what is considered the livable wage on average. These rappers are making what people make in a year in a night, and those are the ones that aren’t even huge like that, when you are blessed with 100s of thousands of dollars all at once it is your responsibility to flip it for yourself
@@gooduserm.a.a.dinternet1228simple
@@gooduserm.a.a.dinternet1228 Right but they won’t be making that forever. So someone like Vince has a realistic house in a realistic neighborhood that is easy to maintain over a lifetime.
joe budden is the kid that never admitted to be wrong in an argument
"You can't love your wife that long" lmao that's crazy
Yea wth 😂😂
Need Vince on the show twice a week
Ong he need to make his own platform but he hate talking to folks he not comfortable with
That would soon be renamed to Vince Staples TV.
❤
Joe been trying to sign him to the network for years, I think he told Joe he needs $5M to sign 😂
vince is not fake enough for the pod game
Joe is the pure definition of gas lighting
fr tho lol
Vince staples is everything joe budden wishes he was.
1) well respected rapper
2) truly supports creators
3) stays out of the bird shit
4) a good podcaster (actually joe is pretty good at this)
@matthewgillies6273 naw he himself and if being yourself is consider corny then who cares
@@matthewgillies6273lol why you say he a bit corny? He seem like a regular dude to me.
@@matthewgillies6273he’s a regular dude who got rich. He’s what happens when you’re a whole person before you got paid
@stevebuscemi4185 Joe is a well respected rapper... but he's a well respected rapper in a space where that doesn't matter. He's a well respected rapper for his lyrical ability by other rappers. Being well respected for your ability by your peers doesn't translate into album sales or mainstream appeal.
I forgot one thing. He’s actually smart not just trying to project it
“I see what you talking about but niggas ain’t tryna do that” is where we always loose as a community
Exactly
*lose….
Too much of setting the bar low and being content with the bare minimum
Facts
Agreed.. always having the lowest expectations for anybody, mfs lookin down with no faith nowadays
Vince Staples is not of this world. The facts and numbers he spit was on point. Restores my faith in soma these youngins...
Sadly he’s an anomaly, I promise you the youth could care less.
@@william58295 ...dont be a grumpy Grandpa. Give em a chance, like someone gave you when you were young
@@william58295the same thing could have been said about us when we were young. You’d be surprised how serious some of these kids are about their future.
Youngins? Vince is 30😂
He’s 30. Nip was 33 when he passed away and he talked about stuff like this all the time. Idk if it’s a coast thing but most ppl from Cali are with the shits. Look at Ice Cube. He has a bb league. He’s been speaking on this shit since NWA. Some ppl are just stuck and their way of thinking lags terribly.
I don’t listen to Vince’s music but I enjoy hearing him in interviews very intelligent dude
Do you not listen to it because you don't enjoy it? Does enjoying his interviews make you want to check out his music if you haven't already?
How about you go and listen to some of his music in support of this brilliant young man
💯
@davidjohnson744 I love Vince, but his sound really isn't for the mass appeal. He really makes music that he wants; which is why I think his fans love him so much. He's true to himself as a person and as an artist.
U should listen. Ramona Park Broke my heart didn't get good reviews for nothing.. Vince can spit and knows how to make an album
Vince is too funny!! And real at the same time!
The funniest thing is the truth
4sho.. that’s a smart young dude… where’s his podcast at? 😅
He wasn’t funny in this clip…
He really said fix the money and then we’ll worry about the knowledge…
I thought I was tripping. That’s ass backwards
I love that it can be a civil ass conversation and just disagree without any outta pocket shit. I wish people took time and thought shit out and educated their selves the way Vince does. Salute and god bless 🙏🏼
The way Ice and Ish were backing Vince they are TIRED of Joe's BS...LOOOOL
Honestly never listed to his music but seeing clips of him speak these past few months, I’m a big fan of Vince the person. He’s intelligent and well spoken while being funny and real. His perspective is unique. I will go dig into his discography now lol
Vince always coming with the knowledge and always coming with a different perspective on things.
if he bri ging knowledge and a different perspective, what are we getting the rest of the time when he isnt around??
@@xMXWLx idk you tell me.
He thinks 90s rap is overrated because there was no Kayne.
@@lamentate07 nobody's perfect
Never heard anyone refer to generational wealth as tiny
You gotta realize a lot of these dudes aren’t put on a platform to spread the right message…
I like how vince just stays in his lane throughout his entire career never switched up
All Joe burden slander is always enjoyed, invited AND encouraged
I love to hear Vince talk. Joe be trying to move the goal post when Vince makes a point.
This Vince guy needs his own podcast! I’ll tune in
Damn bro u don’t know bout Vince staples??
"This Vince guy" ???
@@itsthevelvet1461bro i said the same thing
Never heard if him either and I would definitely tune in
I do not believe I have ever heard a Vince Staples song but I am a huge fan. Whenever I hear him speak his thoughts are so well thought out and often time they go against the grain. In a world of so many followers it's refreshing to see this from a younger brotha.
And that’s why all my high school friends are broke, bunch of felonies, bunch of baby mommas, some are dead due to gun violence and here I am driving my 2020 Altima, got a house in the suburbs that I finance cost $300K and got a job as an engineer, got kids and wife chilling
I like how Vince ventured out , spitting facts
Vince called out hip hop for being a immature culture. As did Jay in 4:44. I’ll never forget Boosie defending “the money phone.” Ignorance is hip hop’s legacy unfortunately. When I was 14 rappers bragged about crime & made me thin that was “real” I’m almost 30 & it’s still the same way except I grew up. The culture didn’t & won’t. By design.
It's a genre not a culture that's the issue in of itself
Vince making $100K+ for 30 minutes is pretty wild
Lol Joe's positive response to anything is "I see you, I hear you.. but No" 😂😂
Vince and Joe are the kinda guys who'd probably be best friends😂. Both 0 chill, both -5% filter
He really out here talking nothin but facts lately and I love to see it
He was always talkin facts
Him and Ish are matching like Destiny's Child.😂
I didn't even catch that at 1st 😂😂😂
Protect this man at all cost!! Vince is an old soul trying to give us knowledge. I’d pay for a Vince pod but drop once a month.
Damm i love that rappers are Having deep convos.. this is inspirational….knowledge is power
He said that was real oppression and it went clean over their head
Vince is as real as it gets in hip hop.
Bro nailed it! Hip-Hop been fkd up from the beginning...point blank period!
VINCE STAPLES.
Young brother needs his own show: for REAL.
One of the smartest rappers he's had on this show
Vince needs his own Podcast!! He is always dropping relevant info
Damn they not ready for that conversation and I don’t even think they understood what he was trying to say.
You didnt either
@@bassred7065 lol appreciate it
This is good information. 👍🏾
Great convo 🤝🏾
Beautiful conversation
Good point: Rap fans don't want to see you be regular. You show fans where you really live, they don't F with you no more. With that, you better not tell nobody you married with a family and taking your kid to the park. You better be doing what you say in them records.
I love this conversation
great conversation
Joe be moving the goal post... "Tiny generational wealth Joe" lmaooooooo STOPPPP!!!!
Ish called him out on that too a couple of weeks ago. LOL
Vince so well spoken and intelligent.. while adding humor 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
thats the biggest insult to black people. we gotta stop saying that. it sounds like we expect eachother to sound dumb
@@xMXWLxEXACTLY! When I was younger I didn’t know why I thought it was so insulting, I didn’t realize why until I was like 27/28 years old
Its crazy because only black people get that “compliment”
@lornegreen6755 thats why im done with the "im black and proud thing as well" its a way to red line us in every way
@@xMXWLx respectfully, can you explain what you mean by that
GREAT convo. Respect to Vince, man. Love hearing him speak.
I can appreciate Joe posting this. He may not be right, but he allows the other facts to be voiced and heard.... by others.
I agree with Joe Budden on how ppl don’t want to listen to a whole album where someone is getting repetitive on how much they love their partner but it’s just sad how ppl don’t mind listening to how much niggas love the block and the streets in every track.
Good conversation
That was Dropping Real Knowledge 💯✊️
Nice conversation
There’s a lot of ppl in our community who think like Vince but he verbalizes it better than most.
💯💯
I appreciate both perspectives. It’s on us the viewers to turn the game they gave up into real world applications.
The way joe got his shoes laced is pissing me off 🤣
Tiny generational wealth is crazy 😂
Knowledge is 🔑.. Vince 🫡 for being you..!!
Vince Staples feature on a podcast is always a pleasure
Get 'em!!!
Great spar session!
Much needed discussion. It's the implementation of financial information that transforms our financial life indeed. We can't apply what we don't know. Glad we're having more economic discussions .
Now I wanna hear more of Vince
This why I got so much love for Vince. Smart, clear and funny. A great person to deliver a message
Thank you, Vince.
Joe said thats tiny generational wealth. Thats the problem. 1 Billion or the record company robbed me and the fans not supporting.
It’s always a semantics argument with Joe and he’s always wrong when it happens.
I just became a fan. Vince said to be able to send your children to a school where you do not have to be fly everyday. Me leaving Brooklyn NY and bringing my children to a place where they can get there white air force 1's a little dirty saved us money. Also, on another note you do not need 1 million dollars to start generational wealth. It all come down to investing most of your money.
Don’t play with Vince 😂
I love him
The way joe talks about the music industry you’d think he conquered the music industry. Like he bout to pull a tobacco pipe out of his sport coat but the sport coat actually fashion nova
Vince needs his own podcast!
Vince is one of the most authentic brotha’s out
Vince is 100...one of the best. he needs his own show.
Joe just said the guy who got a bar at him “you signed to one nigga that signed to another nigga that’s signed to three niggas, now that’s bad luck” that he isn’t in a 360…. This guy man..
The realest
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It’s wild that an artist can abuse drugs, kill opps, and f*** h**s on every track and the fans are happy but loving your spouse on every track is corny. These are real people. If their lyrics aren’t evolving, we should be concerned, especially if they have spouses and kids. Them politicians might’ve had a point about violent and raunchy music ruining our minds.
This is a false narrative, Chance BEEN corny
As you get older you realize why they market to such young minds and set narratives to make them think i certian way..im 28 and realized their bullshit over a decade ago..
Joe is having a conversation with the microwave generation.
Bro, intelligence aside, Vince ain’t saying anything earth-shattering, he just knows how to make a good point, and it’s that he’s talking to Joe who is contrarian du jour most days and who also knows how to make a good point…that’s what’s happening here. It doesn’t take intelligence to do that, you just have to know what a good point is. 😅
You can't be dumb and know how to do something. That's contradictory.
Nah, it's not about making a good point. Vince is articulate and creative. He could not be making a point and it'll still sound like he's making a point lol
Well yea I suppose that’s true, I just see no need for comments to weigh in on his intelligence based on THIS clip where they discussing industry issues, but w/ no real solution to them yet. And I think generational wealth is a non-issue and a vain pursuit. We have no control over how the next generation will handle the wealth even if we did hand it to them on a silver platter, but I digress there.
@@rook9309He’s intelligent.
These niggas don’t know the difference between intelligence and being a good public speaker lol. Vince was I think on the pro label side while joe was on the pro worker side but I don’t think anyone actually knows what Vince was saying
he was so quick with that RnB line
Regardless of what artist do with the money they should have better splits wit labels
Does Vince have a podcast?! if not, he needs one!!!! My dude is dropping facts!
Vince would take this pod out of here if he joined as a host
Gotta be honest Joe is actually making a good point infrastructure doesn’t equal marketplace
PEOPLE LOVE TO HATE ON JOE BUT HE WAS MAKING SOME VALID POINTS TOO.
Vince Staples needs his own podcast
Vince always speaks the truth
What did Vince mean when he said, "that's that South Africa shit" or did I mishear him?
Vince is probably one of the most understanding people out there, not understanding like emotionally but seeing everything for what it is without bias or emotion. He’s the type of person it would be impossible to manipulate because he already would tell you have an agenda
Life insurance is the easiest generational wealth vehicle.
Did Vince just say "that's that South Africa sh*t.." live on air?? 😂😅
