    Looking forward to playing around with these Film Look Creator effects! Thanks for the insights, very helpful!

    subtractive saturation increases saturation without adding brightness. As it is a subtractive method and not additive.

    Missing like 10 steps. First how do I even get to being able to add this film look node? All I see is just to add a node.

    • @thatfilmfool

      Apologies for that. You create a node and then look in the effects page for film look creator and drop and drag it onto a node

    Great Video! I'm currently using the GH5 and looking to upgrade to a new full-frame camera. I'm torn between the S5iix and the FX3. Do you think the extra cost for the FX3 is worth it? I’ve watched several footage videos from both cameras on RUclips, especially in the music video genre, and I find Sony’s look much more modern and cinematic.

    • @thatfilmfool
      @thatfilmfool  4 месяца назад

      To be honest I shoot on canon but love Sony. I did have the gh4 - loved that camera but havent really kept up with panasonixs line up. My opinion is that those cameras are so close together that you may not notice a huge difference. I would rather think about which lens mount you want to have. and build up good lenses - they dont loose too much value.

    • @GlobalShutterNY

      Instead of CST nodes I prefer Davinci Color Mnaged workflow - using the Davinci Wide Gamut for the timeline to make sure I use all of the sensor data until output... I assume the new Film Look Creator will fit in with that workflow (I know Dehancer accepts Davinci Wide Gamut as the input space...)

      Thanks man!! So I download the Davinci Resolve Free version and it didn't allow it - so I am assuming they are going to keep it to the Studio Version. 2. I think CST can still be important if you want to work in a different color space. But they havent release much info on this - as soon as I know I will let you know. Ill comment back on this. Currently I just used the FLC effect and told it my color space. Davinci wasn't in color managed at all. Hope some of this helps.
