Tied my first 24k based on your video. Fished it for the first time yesterday. On the first cast I caught a 16 1/4” Rainbow. Thirty min later a 12” Brown. Thanks, Chris

great fly for taking the tip of your fly rod.....off
It's a euro nymphing bug and you are correct. Tungsten beads wen not cast properly can most definitely break a tip. But they get down without shot, and truly dredge the feeding trout.

I file mine down with a fine file for metal.. then fine tune with 150 grit sandpaper on all fingertips

Looks great, man! When I tie similar scuds, I like to put a thin layer of resin down the back before wrapping the wire up. Then wrap the wire over the resin and top with a bit more resin. It gives it a cool 3D look. Either way, this is a great looking fly!

Great question! Yes the naturals "Sow, Scud, Freshwater shrimp" have small antennas both front and rear. These bugs are aquatic invertebrates, but honestly I don't think the trout care about the cdl "not sure".
