- Today we upgrade the exhaust on the 2021 Giveaway Wrangler, with a Tread Edition Axle-Back Exhaust from AWE!
That 2.0 Turbo stood out and was sounding a little wimpy after we installed our lift and 37 inch tires, so we decided to add this Tread Edition Exhaust system to give a more aggressive sound.
It also comes with AWE's patented anti-drone 180 Technology that limits the "droning" sound that is all to familiar with most exhaust systems. Additionally, the exhaust is completely bolt-on as there is ZERO grinding or cutting required and this can easily be installed in a single evening from the comfort of your own driveway.

I have AWE on my TRX as well as my MK7 Golf R, and my wife has this 2.0. Their whole "no drone" thing is hard to find out there. Sounds sooooo good. I did the high tuck one since she doesn't only go to malls, lol.
I was wondering if "you" could swapping out with a bigger turbo for more hp?
I’ve been thinking about doing this, I really like AWE exhausts I had it on my Focus RS but I’m not sure if I really want to put it on my JLU.
It is definitely for those who want that burble sound.

I purchased this exhaust and I was expecting it to be a bit louder…. I have a 2021 rubicon 2.0 turbo… it sounds good just was expecting it to be louder
Which one you think better the 2.0 or V8 version?
In order to make a bigger louder exhaust worth it, you would need to port the head where the manifold is built into. 😢
Before you buy, please consider a muffler delete. It sounds EXACTLY the same for like 1/8 the price and also you get no drone

Why put a turbo in something meant to crawl? I like the exhaust compared to stock.
Never have found the powerful sound you get from an 8cyl., from a 6cyl., or the 4cyl fart can sound.
The design of the engine gives it good torque low and a wide rpm range to use it ❤
But does it pass emissions ?
If the downpipe is catted then yes, otherwise if you are in a state where emissions are not tested then you would be fine
A $5 can of Folgers will give the same sound and at least you get coffee out of it.

Srry but WTf. Nothin beats the older models' V6s and V8s. those were meant to be forged into crawlers, these new turbo'd shits aint gonna last a year before maintenance or repair needed xD

Man, this sounds like garbage. Why on Earth would you ever want to crawl thru the forest then give it some gas to get up that boulder and have it crackle and pop and back fire in a quite setting. 😂
This kit is definitely more designed for the pavement Jeep crowd.
