- This video will show you how to install the Turbosmart EM Dual Port Blow-Off Valve, part number TS-0223-1086, for the 2.0 Turbo Jeep JL! This installation applies to all 2019 to current year trim levels equipped with the 2.0 Turbo engine. The JL used in this video is 2019 Rubicon.

I installed mine yesterday and I can hear it. I feel it gets more sound if I let off the throttle as it shifts.
During installation, when the o-ring pops off, how do you get it back on and stay put?

Does it make a difference in noise in which direction the port is facing? CJPony’s installation video has it facing a different direction with the connector facing vertical.

Yes. This will be a direct fit for Jeep Wrangler JL 2.0L gasoline Turbo engines
Any provable horsepower gains or just for noise?
No, it's just vent to atmosphere, some say the recirculating is better, some say venting allows faster spool of the turbo. Debatable.
Is this just for noise what is the benefit of it ? I like it just want to know more about it
Noise is a by-product of any Vent To Atmosphere BOV, as they are designed to prevent compressor surge and extend the life of your turbo in the long run. Our Kompact EM valves are a significant improvement over the plastic factory valve in just about every measurable way. Durable Billet CNC Aluminum construction, improved overall response, and superior boost handling capacity. All especially important things if you plan to tune and make upgrades. They come available in either "Plumb Back" TS-0223-1286 (100% recirculation) or "Dual Port" TS-0223-1086 (50/50 VTA).
How do I determine which of the 2 valves in the video I should buy?
It comes down to your preference. If you are seeking that blow off noise then we would recommend the Dual Port (TS-0223-1086). If you want the benefits of an aftermarket valve but don't care for a blow off noise then the Plumb Back is a better option for you (TS-0223-1286).

I just ordered this same part for my Jeep. I put it on, gave it gas while it was in park and it doesn’t work for me.. only when I’m driving under a load I can hear it. Do you have any suggestions?
On some applications it is difficult for pressure to build with no load on the engine. If you are wanting a louder pressure release you would need to make more boost.

Its possible, but we can't officially confirm or endorse that fitment since we haven't personally test fit the valve on that application. We are always looking to expand our offerings, so in the meantime we will submit an inquiry to our R&D department. Thanks!

@@Martin-mq4dz at first it felt like better throttle response, but could've been my excitement. Right now i dont notice it at all and cant hear it clearly. You have to have radio off and dead silence. Only hear it once loudly from when you first accelerate. Just keep foot on gas for a bit to build pressure then let go and you'll hear the swoosh. Tbh im not satified with it at all.

I installed one yesterday. Only bad thing is my gas mpg went down due to lead footing all around town
How do you know which one to get?
Both offer the same overall benefits, but it will really come down to if you want to hear the valve vent to atmosphere or not. Our Kompact EM Dual Port offers a 50% recirculation and 50% Vent-to-atmosphere. Our Kompact EM Plumb back is 100% recirculating.
