It’s is said that the late 19th century American wizard “Rocky Rockit” was fond of using magically explosive vessels & air bubble spells to routinely travel to space & back. Some say he reached as far as the moons of Jupiter in his travels & encountered Aliens with magical qualities on Europa, though this may be mere speculation.
Hagrid is perfect to let people know that magic is real and you're about to send your child to a wizard boarding school. a giant with a pink umbrella showing up and telling you your kid is a wizard is going to be a bit easier to believe than if some old dude in funny clothes shows up. Hagrid would be less likely to have to show a muggle magic to prove his claim as just looking at him makes it clear.
Hagrid maybe a half-giant and he may lack a level of proficiency in magic, but he is the kinda guy who will pick you up when you fall on the roadside even if your family moves ahead. He is caring. Can be scary at times. But generally very good mannered.

So I just googled who replaced McGonagall as transfiguration professor but all it said was that: 'Professor Marazion succeeded Minerva McGonagall in the post of Head of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This individual became Headmaster or Headmistress some time between 2008 and 2017 after Minerva McGonagall went into retirement as she was "getting on a bit".' I don't know if it's true but I wonder what this Headmaster/Headmistress was like? I also wonder who replaced Professor McGonagall in Transfiguration, I did Google it but I can't find anything on it, it just said the quote that I said above. I'm genuinely curious about who was Transfiguration Professor after McGonagall. Also if Harry Potter and the Cursed Child said anything about it I don't want to hear it, I do not consider it's Canon, there are so many plot-holes and if Delphi was born before the Battle of Hogwarts, then Bellatrix would have been heavily pregnant in the Battle at Malfoy Manor. She would not have been able to move as agile as she was in the books and movies. And there also would have been a huge baby bump when they battled, the corset that she was wearing would not have been able to hide that and if it did, it would be endangering the baby and there would not be a lot of chance that it survived.

The dates for most of these are laughably wrong. The clothing in the portraits is the key to dates. People dressing in ruffs predate people in periwigs by 200 years.
Another thing I always thought is each Head Master/Mistress actually own the House Elves and their ownership transfers to each new Head If they leave or die. That way the elves always have a Master/Mistress
Great analysis! Just to say, I think Amrose Swott was a Hufflepuff reagarding his motto of hard work. Yesterday I walked by some stranger in the streets. I tried to attack him out of nowhere but he dodged my attack as well as my second and third one. Then he run away. What a nice duel we had.
I would name the first headmaster “Alfric Thorpe”, husband of Matilda Gryffindor (daughter of Godric Gryffindor). And I would assume that Alfric was installed as the new head of Gryffindor upon his father-in-law’s resignation, and later became promoted to “Headmaster” as a token of respect for all his wisdom and guidance in regards to him being the most respected among the four Hogwarts head teachers of his time.
Interesting Video, but there seems to be a lot of information either missing, mixed up or wrong. For one headmaster, you've shown the picture from hogwarts legacy, which is actually showing the old librarian. As Godric Griffindor was the one that lived and stayed at hogwarts the longest of the founders, he might be considered the actual first single headmaster.
Eh, now I'm confused ... how can Gagwilde be *before* both Wilkins and Spore, if Spore was way back in the 1400s and Gagwilde was during Aberforth Dumbledore's time (Aberforth was born in the late 1800s)? Sure, witches and wizards live longer than muggles, but not several centuries. How can Gagwilde be older than Flamel, when it is said in the book that Flamel is the only one who has a stone to grant immortality?
My theory is that Dumbledore would have taken Sirius in on the secret. Why? Because Dumbledore knew Sirius would do anything to protect Harry. Sirius would have been Dumbledore`s insurance policy for Harry. So Dumbledore would have probably called in a meeting with Sirius and Snape, to tell them his main plan for Harry. So that after his death Snape and Sirius do not mess things up. Harry would then have gone off on the horcrux hunt with Ron, Hermione and Sirius. Sirius would have been invaluable with his magical knowledge and experience.
He would have had a strong reaction for sure, but he wasn't generally too close with Dumbledore. And I imagine he held a bit of resentment given that Dumbledore knew he was innocent yet left him in azkaban
@@isaac_aren Albus Dumbledore was Sirius's Headmaster at Hogwarts. Like the rest of the wizarding world, Dumbledore initially believed it was Sirius who betrayed James and Lily to Voldemort, but was quick to accept Sirius's innocence when he learned the Secret-Keeper had actually been Pettigrew, and helped Hermione and Harry to save Sirius from the Dementor's Kiss, and to escape from his Ministry captors, by means of a Time-Turner and Buckbeak. The two resumed their friendship, and Sirius helped Dumbledore to recall the Order of the Phoenix an hour after Voldemort returned. However, their relationship was soon strained: Dumbledore forced Sirius to stay at 12 Grimmauld Place on account of his being a wanted convict, and because he had a tendency to act rashly, which could lead him to put himself in great danger. Though his intentions were noble, Sirius could not bring himself to appreciate Dumbledore's actions, as he utterly despised the home which brought him many bitter, unhappy memories, and the fact that he was to be alone in the house most of the time with only his house elf for company made it all the more intolerable. Nevertheless, he still trusted Dumbledore enough to confide in him about how Harry felt Voldemort awaking inside him the night that Arthur Weasley was attacked. Dumbledore was devastated when Sirius was killed by Bellatrix, believing that it was mostly his fault, and he later expressed to Harry his belief that Sirius was a brave, clever, and energetic man, who would never be content with sitting at home in hiding while his loved ones were in danger. Sirius's death was also a factor that led to Dumbledore finally revealing to Harry things that had been kept secret from him, mainly about the true power of his mother's sacrificial protection and the prophecy about him and Voldemort.
Of course Snape didn't want to hurt anyone. During his duel all he did was block and parry McGonagall's spells, and even split one in half behind him to knock out the Carrow siblings.
Many comments wonder how Niamh Fitzgerald would fit into that timeline... i answered a comment with this so... well she must be somewhere around Undercliff or Burk, going by her portrait, she died "young" for a magical beeing. It will be easy to fit a ... idk... 1- 10 year headmisstress in it somehow. I mean Epilouge in 2017 gives us 1017+ years of Hogwarts split to 28 headmasters mean 36 years per master / mistress now take into account that we know Dumbledore had the position from say 1970 to 97 = 27 years.... Umbridge = 1/2 year .... Snape 1 year .... McGonnagall 19 years 1017-47,5 = 969,5 / 24 (remaining heads ) = 40.4 years each ..... i dare say, they missed 1 or 2 😋
I always assumed from canon that the Albus Dumbledore ascended to being the headmaster at the end of 1956. That was when he was succeeded in the transfiguration department by Minerva McGonagall. There’s also the fact that Tom Riddle was employed at Borgin and Burkes circa 1947 right after concluding his Hogwarts education and disappeared for ten years after he killed Hepzibah Smith and took from her the locket of Salazar Slytherin and the cup of Helga Hufflepuff, not to be “seen” again until after Dumbledore became headmaster. (It also was then that the “embargo” began on the Defense Against the Dark Arts post at the school, preventing any instructor lasting longer than one school year.) There probably should have been an account as to whether or not Phineas Nigelus (Black) was really such a disliked headmaster. The only two accounts in the canon that we had to go on are his own opinion and that of Sirius, his descendant. The closest thing to evidence against Phineas would be the manner in which he resisted obeying Dumbledore the night when Harry Potter witnessed Lord Voldemort’s attack on Arthur Weasley with the snake, Nagini. If that was his ordinary behavior, coupled with the way he jeered at Harry the following evening, chances are that he would’ve been better off studying geology on his own than being a teacher. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to write something like that since I first read Order of the Phoenix.
With the release of Hogwarts Legacy, we now know that Phineas Nigellas was headmaster in 1891, but where would Niamh Fitzgerald fit in? From what we see in the game, it must have been in the renaissance era
Whlie he is telling about fytherley undercliffe's nature to wear rings or necklaces he shows alot of horcruxes indirectly saying that fytherley might have made horcruxes and wore it every were not like voldemot or it might been fytherley likings

God will arrive without waiting". It has nothing to do with working before studying, but is a rule of how live live a pius life.
In my headcanon Neville will eventually become headmaster and be a great one.
3:22 I paused, and just want to point out a symbol oddly similar to the Deathly Hallows on her head scarf. The wand might be pointed horizontally instead of vertically, but the rest is still there.
and there is no circle. so its basicly just a triagle brosche.
Love the pictures from the old games. Real shame that they don't still sell them anymore
Next video: have wizards gone to space
What if they already have a colony on Mars..? 😮
@@mystictimewarp9831 let’s hope JK reads your comment
It’s is said that the late 19th century American wizard “Rocky Rockit” was fond of using magically explosive vessels & air bubble spells to routinely travel to space & back.
Some say he reached as far as the moons of Jupiter in his travels & encountered Aliens with magical qualities on Europa, though this may be mere speculation.

A Very Good Video 👌🏻👍🏻
Speaking of Phineas Nigellus Black, he will be seen in the game Hogwarts Legacy since that game takes place during his time as Headmaster of Hogwarts.
Hoping with the new game we get some pretty cool new lore and find out more about the head masters
Could u pls do a video on the "Black" family
Wait, so the vulpus guy was born in the 1600s and joined the school in the 1800s? Flamel gotta be involved xD
Wait, you want to say that there was never a black/indian/asian headmaster? Oh my god, we have to cancel Hogwarts now
You forgot woke Transvestite
His voice is so soothing… like a teacher when you where tired… but with a cool subject
great video, however you missed Newt Scamander. He was headmaster as well.
Correction: there are in fact 9 orders of angels. In order of hierarchy from highest to lowest they are:
1. Seraphim
2. Cherubim
3. Thrones
4. Dominions
5. Virtues
6. Powers
7. Principalities
8. Archangels
9. Angels
However. At the time of his existence there were only 8. I think. Maybe. Possibly? Made you look. 😮
Headmaster black was done pretty accurate by hogwarts legacy
So I just googled who replaced McGonagall as transfiguration professor but all it said was that:
'Professor Marazion succeeded Minerva McGonagall in the post of Head of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Cursed Child is definitely not canon. We don`t talk about it.
@@experiments111 The book that must not be named. 🙂
a lot of people headcanon that Neville became headmaster after her
Hermione used a spacial spell to make her bags hold a ton of books.
I don't see why she couldn't use a similar spells to hide her pregnancy.
9:41 I didn't know I was a headmaster 😂😂😂
lived in the 17th century and joined the staff in the 1800s? o he lived over 100 years before joining the staff, I know wizards have long life spans but he must have had a philosophers stone.
The dates for most of these are laughably wrong. The clothing in the portraits is the key to dates. People dressing in ruffs predate people in periwigs by 200 years.
And he’s using century as the hundreds ..16th century as 1600s etc
Another thing I always thought is each Head Master/Mistress actually own the House Elves and their ownership transfers to each new Head If they leave or die. That way the elves always have a Master/Mistress
Well…. Yeah…. I mean I never thought about it but it’s sort of assumed??
Great analysis! Just to say, I think Amrose Swott was a Hufflepuff reagarding his motto of hard work. His name was also carved on a wood panel in the Divinations classroom, so he might have been a Divinations professor. Also, at 18:45, I heard 《Umbridge no longer head-"anything to do with the school" 》. Her best title imo😂.
I agree with you that Amrose swott
Can you do a video on the common rooms on Hogwarts Legacy and what you think of them
Would you consider doing an updated video with Niahm Fitzgerald added in?
Phineus Black is my favourite Headmaster.
lmao after playing Hogwarts Legacy, i fully understand why everyone hated Phineas Nigelus Black
i love that hagrid is just running into muggle houses revealing magic. is he/himself allowed to use it now?
No doubt that’s because phineas nigellus black cancelled quidditch during his time

0:29: Ah! Ah! He said the thing!
My favorite video of Harry Potter
16:54 A surprise to be sure but an unwelcome one.
I knew a bit about Dumbledore, Dippett, Snape, Black, Everard (in passing) and McGonagall. As @Poolkid75 mentions below, Umbridge was never recognized as a headmaster by the building. The rest were new to me. Thanks for this, it was interesting!
We'll be seeing much more of Phineas Black now.
They should do more movies with Minerva McGonagall as head mistress and show Albus Severus Potter along with Rose Weasley being sorted into their houses
I think sending Hagrid is the best choice. I would imagine seeing a half giant would quickly persuade muggles of magic
They would be more interested in the flying motorcycle than Hagrid himself I think
Well speaking from a 2023 standpoint Sirius was absolutely right about his great-great-grandpa :D
How you find this information is impressive 👏👍
Dippet was also responsible for sending the muggleborns home in the aftermath of the london blitz...
Fantastic video So interesting.
Xx
Yesterday I walked by some stranger in the streets. I tried to attack him out of nowhere but he dodged my attack as well as my second and third one. Then he run away. What a nice duel we had.
1:42 brian combined the colors of the other houses....
I wonder was He a Ravenclaw?
Love your content!
I'm living in the Phineas Nigellus Black era.
How do people dig up all those "facts" when they're nowhere mentioned in the books at all?
Pottermore
@@TBSEminem and that is run by who..?

I would name the first headmaster “Alfric Thorpe”, husband of Matilda Gryffindor (daughter of Godric Gryffindor).
And I would assume that Alfric was installed as the new head of Gryffindor upon his father-in-law’s resignation, and later became promoted to “Headmaster” as a token of respect for all his wisdom and guidance in regards to him being the most respected among the four Hogwarts head teachers of his time.
where does this information come from?
6:14 the label shown should be for number 11, not 10.
Interesting Video, but there seems to be a lot of information either missing, mixed up or wrong.
For one headmaster, you've shown the picture from hogwarts legacy, which is actually showing the old librarian.
As Godric Griffindor was the one that lived and stayed at hogwarts the longest of the founders, he might be considered the actual first single headmaster.
loved this one
We need an anthology series to really dive deep into these characters
Serious question. How do you know all of this? is it all from the books, or is there additional content that came out after the movies/books?
Pottermore gives a lot more details on this world
No, I did not know of these headmasters.
#11 Vindictus Veridian (spelling?) looks an awful lot like Sir Arthur Sullivan of Gilbert & Sullivan fame...
If Sirius had lived, how do you think he would've reacted to Snape killing Dumbledore?
Not in kind that's for sure haha
I’m guessing he would at least be a little grumpy. Maybe even quite grumpy.
Sirius's death was also a factor that led to Dumbledore finally revealing to Harry things that had been kept secret from him, mainly about the true power of his mother's sacrificial protection and the prophecy about him and Voldemort.
i have to ask, some of your facts arent in the books, where do you get the info?
(It also was then that the “embargo” began on the Defense Against the Dark Arts post at the school, preventing any instructor lasting longer than one school year.)
There probably should have been an account as to whether or not Phineas Nigelus (Black) was really such a disliked headmaster.
Vulpus, A guy so nice he's mentioned twice
So in Hogwarts legacy the time period is that of the 23rd head master. That helps put it into perspective time wise.
Does Giffet Abbot have anything to do with Hannah Abbot?
Everard has been hinted to have worked for the ministry.
I'd love to think at some point Neville Longbottom was Headmaster
The boy who wasn’t deserved to be the headmaster.
Is your intro part of a full song?
Where are there paintings from?
Missing Niamh Fitzgerald wich we meet in higwarts legacy
Well tbh, he couldnt know about her, 5 month ago.... but i guess... make a new video ;)
Well we now have more info on Headmaster Black thanks to Hogwarts Mystery, you should make a video on him from the game if you havent already

PNB was headmaster in 1890 so the timelines are really unclear
This is a very well made video. Keep up the Great Job! 🪄⚡

With the release of Hogwarts Legacy, we now know that Phineas Nigellas was headmaster in 1891, but where would Niamh Fitzgerald fit in? From what we see in the game, it must have been in the renaissance era
Of course, we now know that the real reason everyone hated Black was because he cancelled Quiddich over a pureblood injury.. =P
Whlie he is telling about fytherley undercliffe's nature to wear rings or necklaces he shows alot of horcruxes indirectly saying that fytherley might have made horcruxes and wore it every were not like voldemot or it might been fytherley likings
That was great. Ima big fan. But I don't think I would ever tell my homies that.
We could have spinoff movies on each headmaster era
