Totally agree. Rush Hour was good but he didnt direct the choreographies and fights and he was already in his 40s.

Rush hour 2 and 3 are a must watch. Things get crazier and funnier

I really appreciate the chemistry the two of them seem to have, it always feels to me, especially in the bloopers, that Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan work together very well.

The best part of the line “do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth” is that Jackie said in an interview Chris said that to him in real life, and then added it into the film 😂

It was the chemistry between these two that worked so well. Saw this at the cinema and loved it. Have it on blu ray now. Always makes me laugh.
Racist jokes among friends are really a lot of fun. You actually learn a lot, more quicker.
I love watching Jackie Chan! His fight choreography is so mesmerizing, and he's such a great actor. I haven't gotten to see his more recent _The Foreigner_ yet but it looks like a good film.

You know in real life my cousin who is from South Korea came over to America and he said "What's up my nigga" thinking it was a cool slang language because he saw it in American movies and tv shows and my cousin knew literally no english at all. What's sad was those 2 black guys literally got offended and thought he was racist and gave him a very hard time when he can't even speak in english so he was scared... shit like that happens in real life lol.

@5:59 That is martial art and Hollywood stuntman royalty right there. Judo Gene Lebell has done over a thousand films (Steve Martin throws him in The Jerk) and is a judo legend that has provided the world with many champions including Ronda Rousey. If you ever run into an older, crazy looking guy like that, you might want to check the thickness of his hands and make sure you're nice. He's in his late 80's now unless he died without me knowing. Hope he keeps going strong. Oldskool mentor. Love to Judo Gene !

I just can't help it but Confucius is just enthralled by Dawn. Her great personality, good looks and that laugh. I got to say, I think Confucius is in love with this youtuber. lol.

If you love Chris Tucker in this movie and The Fifth Element, strongly recommend you check out Friday. He’s hilarious in it and it’s easily considered by many to be one of his best roles.
I’m a linguist and did something similar to what Jackie Chan did pretending not to understand because I get to see what people are really like, then get to call them out if they’re really rude. It really humbles people 😂

You should react to Enter The Dragon, Bruce Lee’s best (and final) film. It was the first east/west collaboration on a movie, and started the whole martial arts craze. 🐲
Rush Hour’s director, Brett Ratner is such a huge Bruce Lee fan that he shot the fight scenes just like Bruce did - in wide shots, so you can see that he is actually doing the fighting. Jackie Chan also does the same thing in his films. Plus, he was a fan of silent film stars Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, and Buster Keaton, who did the same thing with their stunts. In fact, Jackie was a stunt man/extra in one of Bruce’s films before he did it again in Enter The Dragon. He even gets a close-up when he grabs Bruce from behind in one of the fight scenes. Also, Lalo Schifrin did the music for both Enter The Dragon and the Rush Hour trilogy.
Buddy cop movies used to be very popular in the 80s and 90s. The Rush Hour series is the successor to the Lethal Weapon franchise starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. I second the nomination for reactions to The Legend of Drunken Master (U.S. release in 2000) and The Karate Kid movies.
Drunken Master is my fav Jackie movie. The fight scenes with the drunking boxing is so good. The final one is beyond epic.

If you want to see any Jackie Chan movies, definitely see the Drunken Master movies, especially The Legend of Drunken Master. Amazing fights & stunts.
I'll suggest Jackie Chan's family action comedies, "Rumble In The Bronx" This is a great Introduction to Jackie Chan's world. Then there is "Operation Condor", "Who am I" "Twin Dragons". Great stuff. Fun Fact, Chan worked and starred in the "Cannon Ball" movies with Burt Reynolds. And was heavily inspired by the car action of Hal Needham and the bloopers at the end. His later Action films beginning with Police Story (1985) were inspired from his Hollywood exposure. He never looked back since.
Reupload? I'll repost my requests then. lol As much fun as Rush Hour is, none of Jackie Chan's Hollywood movies really show him at his best. I think the most complete showcase of him from his Hong Kong films is Who Am I (1998) since it contains almost every type of stunt work he was famous for. But his most iconic role is in Drunken Master 2 (1994), which is redubbed in America as The Legend of Drunken Master. There's no need to watch the low budget original Drunken Master (1978) since there's really no connection between them plotwise. Also, please watch The Karate Kid (1984) as well as Cobra Kai.
@Bobo Boy The question is usually whether the first Drunken Master is good. Because like I said, Drunken Master 2 aka The Legend of Drunken Master is JC's most iconic film. It's like asking if Terminator 2: Judgment Day or The Dark Knight are good compared to their predecessors. Look up "Jackie Chan vs Ken Lo".

Jackie Chan is an artist trained in the Chinese Opera including acrobatics. He was never a martial arts individual like Jet LI. Always enjoy your comments.
Jet li's "martial arts" is claimed to be illegitimate by others too(wushu, if I'm not mistaken)and basically same thing Jackie supposedly trained which is mostly like performance- based acrobatics.

Have you ladies seen the 1985 movie Clue? It's based on the board game... Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd and Madeline Kahn star. It's clean, it's hilarious, it's suspenseful and it's clever. I cannot recommend it enough and I've only seen ONE RUclipsr react to it. Clue needs more love!

Jackie Chan's movies?! Well, with "The Karate Kid", you'll appreciate it more, after seeing all of the ones with, Pat Morita. Warning! The remake is a misnomer, because it is actually, Chinese Kung Fu, rather than, Japanese Karate.
The original movie got consent from, "DC", to use that title, because they have a Superhero with that name. His name is also a misnomer, as he knows all Earth forms of Martial Arts, not just Karate. He went on to learn all Galactic forms as well. 😎
