A group of nearsighted bassists walk into a German music store...
i like the way the guy with the glasses plays...
🤓
@@TheBassChannel I guess I should have been more specific, I meant the guy with the glasses and black T-shirt
Amazing video for bassists looking to upgrade from their first bass to something studio worthy.
Struggling between a Stingray and SR505E. Looking to get a Massive Attack sound - their bass player uses a single humbucker Sterling Stingray. But playing the SR505E/SR500E in the store, they feel so good. Thoughts.
43 minutes!? You're spoiling us!
is there a flood in Germany right now? lol
There is a flood in your mum😐🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Right on awesome, you guys are doing awesome with the all three of you cats banging it out, amazing dynamic, keep it up!
Well done guys. Great Video and I hope you liked your stay here in Germany 😊👍
Sterling was my favorite. What was it you did not like from the SUB? Was it only the sound or something else? I plan buying a SUB5 and buy a replacement alnico pickup from Seymour Duncan.
I bought an '01 sage green Jazz after seeing a few of Patrick's videos. Glad they brought it back.
Ibanez has all the dough and expertise to be number one - yet, they dont seem to strive for being the best and focus on entry level gear. The new stuff is VERY impressive - yet the headstock logo, makes ya hold your head in shame - they need a fresh re-start - a name change for their high-end stuff.... might help
They are poised to become Thee best bang for your buck bass company but you're right. They need a small push in the right direction.
What they need is to make necks that aren't toothpicks. I had an SR 750 and it was excellent but eventually I couldn't stand the neck because it was just too damn thin. That's the only thing keeping me from getting another Ibanez
@@caseypayne5138 Thin necks are the Soundgear line stuff. The BTB series feature WIDE necks.
Like the Ibanez the best.
I think the most beautiful bass sound is the two jazz pickups! I’ve played and heard 100s of other bass pickups and none shine through like the Js do!
Loved the neck on my Stingray SLO Special - the standard necks - no thx.
Jazz bass for the win.
Will and Patrick are the cutest couple on RUclips.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I ship it
Nick Maffei obvi!
Lindsay Caccamise are you from Greensboro or that area by any chance?
DiamondLifer I am not. Why do you ask?
I've been worshipping the SDGR neck since '88..it's a good un'
Patrick's the guy who let's all pick haters realize that pickers are welcome
When the guy with the long shorts in the middle starts playing the guy to his right starts fiddling with his knob, he’s only got a small knob at that?
Unfortunately I missed the chance to buy a 5 string chappers bass
It's a shame we can't find Chapman's basses anywhere in Europe
For the EB, a P Bass is also just 1 humbucker. It's just two smaller ones wired in series.
Yes P pickup is a humbucker but there's a big difference from a dual coil MM style humbucker.. Every note you pluck, in Dual coils, the signal is picked up by TWO coils and added to each other.. While for a P pickup, it's only a single coil that picks up the signal.. That makes a big diff in the sound
Fender always win for me
Edit Nick embracing Jaco a little bit both tone and playing style a little bit
I'm owner of a RB streamer standard 5 fretless....passive version, not produced. It's not perfect, not the best wood etc...I own other basses more expensive...and for some reasons I can explain, the RB is my favourite, the neck it's so confortable, in the mix this bass sounds sooooo good, I play it each day. I have a another fretless ( cost around 2500 € ) ...but I still prefer the rockbass. It's a good review again, but in my opinion, the sound of a bass played alone it's not enough to be representative of the potential. It would be great if we can hear all those basses played in a mix. Nice job anyway. Thanks.
The Chapman sounds awesome but why not just add a few bucks and buy a really nice Warwick?
you guys look like people who play the cello or violin !!! ;D ;D
Schecter Stiletto Diamond series for my money
I would have killed to start my journey long ago with such a bass (Wick), instead like many I started with a pawn shop bass of which I have no clue what it was. ha
The Wick, Marcus Miller, Fender stood out to me and would make epic starter basses for a young musician.
Amazing ibanez !!!
feels like a warwick, but didnt sound like a warwick, my opinion
Sounded where like one where it counts.
I'll take a Yamaha from the same price level.
I am surprised a Yamaha didnt make it lol
War wick .. lol.
6:06 that’s not the m2 that’s the m7 the m2 are plain tops the m7 is a quilt top only offered in natural and black in ash and it’s one of the higher end of sire so you guys screwed up the model and I can tell you all of the controls
War-wick... 🤔
low volume
LOL 999 DLLS, YOU CAN SAY 1,OOO DLLS HAHAHAHA
It's pronounced WORRICK. No one ever gets this right.
Warwick's master luthier pronounces it as "WARWICK".
@@TheBassChannel Okay, but Warwick is a middle-English word meaning "dwellings by the weir", it's an English surname and English town and isn't a word that appears in German. And in the UK it is pronounced WORRICK.
I guess it's like Studio Ghibli. The word Ghibli in any other context has a soft G (i.e. Jibli) but in the context of the studio it is pronounced with a hard G (i.e. Gibli).
Just that being British I cringe every time anyone says War-Wick. Sounds so horribly wrong to my ears.
Funny, here in Warwick, Rhode Island, we say Warrick! Then again a car is called cah, and lobster is lobsta. Oh well.
