I saw a picture of Pete and just immediately clicked. It’s reflex at this point. Use this power responsibly editors! Great looking basses. Bring on NAAM! It’s like second Christmas.
I recently picked up an Ibanez Gi0 GSR250B. Inexpensive, around 400.00 CDN. Sounds great and as a beginner, easy to play and learn on. It's my first bass and can't wait to learn how to play it properly.
I bought that SRMS805 a few months ago. Best bass I’ve ever played on! Love the multi scale aspect, love the sound, love that poplar top. All around amazing
I bought it after testing 10+ bass guitars under 600€. Great giging bass, because is feels great, sounds great and you're not too worried about it because its not like 2000€.
From the reactions Pete gets here, i wouldn't be surprised if Andertons put a tag on any instrument he plays here on this channel that says:- "As Played by Danish Pete" and charges a premium for it!
Absolutely brilliant video lads!! I really enjoyed it, from the great info, to the great humour, but mostly, your savage playing!! Fair play to yiz :) Best wishes from Ireland
Man, that SR875 is making me want to learn to play Bass so badly. Been playing guitar for 7 years-bass looks fun too! Don’t know if it’s a good idea to spend $900 on a first bass though. Absolutely love that blue gradient
three old ladies on a park bench...old lady 1 says "Wenge" isn't it?"...old lady 2 says "oh...I thought it was thursday"...old lady 3 says "so am i...let's have a cup of tea !!!".
I recently got into Ibanez basses, more that I used to. Apart from the fact that they sound good, and feel amazing to play, they really look amazing as well. I was always a fan of natural finished guitars, or just plain white guitars, but I'm really digging the colors. The blue 5 string, or the black one that Pete was playing at the beginning of the video. I was considering getting a buddy for my Chapman MLB1 and was waiting for Chapman Guitars to announce their new line up of basses, but honestly, I think I might go for an Ibanez this time :)
A fan fret 5-string into a Darkglass amp and no quick demo of the built-in B3K/VMT circuits. Kinda wish you would've briefly touched upon those sounds. Otherwise great demo!
5 strings are fabulous for playing in bands where the damn guitarist tunes down/up/all over the place. With a 5 string you don't have to change any tunings (provided the low B is the lowest note the guitarist is hitting)
Why 7 string bass? Some people like the range for looping and general solo bass stuff (look up Yves Carbonne to see what can be done with a 12 string bass, yes 12). Some people (like Veil of Maya's bassist) want to solo just like their guitarist friends. And some just want something odd and new to help them think outside the box and play sth different. And as someone who has the BTB7, let me tell you, those higher strings sound BEAUTIFUL on a bass (and entirely different from a guitar with the same range).
Hadn't listened to Havok before, wow, me like it. And it really warms the cockles of this metal bassist to see bass treated as an actual instrument, not an octave dropped inferior guitar
7:44 I looked it up and it is pronounced /ˈwɛnɡe/ i.e. when (exactly like the English word) + a 'g' as in go or good and the last e is a closed e, which doesn't exist in RP or American Standard English but sounds like the 'ay' in 'play' in a general Scottish accent (so it's NOT a diphthong). I'm honestly so glad I finally know xD en.wiktionary.org/wiki/wenge
Tobias Ommer I think the easiest way to understand it for and English speaker is to say Jamaican accent. Or Walking on the moon by the Police, "some would sé I'm wasting ma dés owé"
I've never played or own a bass guitar, butt theses Ibanze SR870 Sounds Excellent . I wornder what the bass guitar would sound Playing Metallica riffs or Slip not riffs 👍🤘 guys . Thanks TroyFrost / Troyster 😎 CoolRiffs 😎 Cool 🎸 🤘🤘 🤘
I can explain the 7 string bass thing. Even though I like guitar more than bass, to my ears the notes in the lower range of a guitar sound far better on a bass-size instrument. Guitars make sense 'cuz it's easier on your hand and wrist to use a small instrument with small strings. A seven string bass is perfect for a musician who doesn't give a fuck about what's hard or easy to play.
Come on, play the TMB... We all know what a soundgear sounds like, wtf... "They have these new awesome models, but let's just play 5 basses of the same variant that all sound the same anyway."
I saw a picture of Pete and just immediately clicked. It’s reflex at this point. Use this power responsibly editors! Great looking basses.
Bring on NAAM! It’s like second Christmas.
Damn right ! They could put Pete next to a SPAM tin can that I would still click on the video !

Ibanez sure knows how to to beautiful-looking basses.
I bought that SRMS805 a few months ago. Best bass I’ve ever played on! Love the multi scale aspect, love the sound, love that poplar top. All around amazing
Bought my SR-300e based on one of your earlier videos and have been really chuffed with it. Cheers guys.
Swodeyem Anything from the SR series is just amazing value for your money tbh :p

Alastor agreed!
Kevin Rausl yes - I can imagine it’s relative light-ness particularly helps when gigging!

I have the TMB-30 and I love it. I sold my Fender Pawnshop Mustang Bass and made $470 and I have a great bass!
that flappiness you are talking about, i have the same on my SR605 and you really have to littlefinger that low B string

Pete, please release Nathan immediately!
Arthur Stone ?
Richard Harrold ah
SR870 sounds really good. And the price is really reasonable as well.
I got a 2018 SR505! More than happy with my purchase, considering the price!
Got the tobacco sunburst sr500. love it... :)
4:10 Why a 7 string bass??..... well, because of a 9 string guitar :)
Just bought the SRMS805. Can't wait to try out that beast
Just ordered my wife the orange metallic Ibanez 300...
Looking forward to it
Your Blindfold tests are awesome! Do one with acoustics? maybe cheap versus midpriced vs expensive! would be great!!
You should have Dave Hollingworth on as a special guest Basslord!
THIS!
DAVE!
Yeah, I love my SR-300E. Sweet instrument for the money.
Please, please do a proper feature on the talman range. Tempted by them but would like to hear a proper review
Nice! Enjoyed Danish Pete as the bass-neophyte (for all us bass-curious folks) :-D
That was very impressive but can you...oh wait sorry wrong channel
I thought this was a pewdiepie reference...
BUT CAN YOU DO THIS!?!?
Rotten Cheerio I play guitar and I watch his vids
Italian joke
Ayyyy I got it
Lookin for davie504
I loved the SRMS805 Multiscale most of all. I'd lose the low B and and string it E to C, but yeah. I could jam on it for hours.
Can't wait to see Nathan get his hands on the new electric upright. You guys should order in a Thundercat bass! ;)
Love that intro wish I had another bassist to jam with like that
I'd love to see a review on Cort Basses..!!
The 4 string has a killer tone!!! The 5-string fanned fret too!!!
How about a video comparing at home practice amps across several brands like the guitar videos?
Great video guys looking forward to the next one!
14:35 them harmonics. love it.
Me: my fender bass rattles too much
Andertons: 1:27
11:05 - 11:12 just awesome man.
Are you guys going to cover the full range of talman basses or the talman bass just got a mention and appearance here in this ibanez bass video :/
Dig Ibanez basses, wish they'd do more fretless in the Premium/Prestige line - Love my GWB1005.
17:57 them tri tones hit me hard. had to pick up an instrument after that
So playing like crazy... you guys are making these bass guitars secondhand.😁
No Ibanez SRSC806??? I hope you guys get one and review it. I wouldn't but a single bass featured in this video. Bummer.
Evan Sales I second that request, I really want to get one when they come out!
On a 7-string bass you can play all the modes in one position
Ibanez really good at naming huh
Danish Pete accent is so coooool'))
Thanks for video)
A fan fret 5-string into a Darkglass amp and no quick demo of the built-in B3K/VMT circuits. Kinda wish you would've briefly touched upon those sounds. Otherwise great demo!
I need one of those Talmans!
Lee and Pete are bass Gods. Bass-off with Justin from Tool :p could you do a Gio bass 2018 rundown?
5 strings are fabulous for playing in bands where the damn guitarist tunes down/up/all over the place. With a 5 string you don't have to change any tunings (provided the low B is the lowest note the guitarist is hitting)
What’s the name of the bass at 13:40? And the name of the finish
pete makes everything amazing i wish i had a pete :/
Danish Pete is to funny great review of these nice ibanez basses i love they are so light weight at easy to play cheers from a fellow dane...:D
The b string wasn't floppy on the blue 875. You were hitting it too hard. Lee's setup was fine.
Good video! But, where's Nathan?
I haven't seen 2 or more basses being played on a song since Spinal Tap "Big Bottoms".
Neck wood is Jatobah.
When Pete plays the bass he known as Bagel Pete
soilver wave doesnt look as "mayones" as it does in the pics online. Still gonna be my bass purchase tho!
SRMS805 🤤🤤🤤
Beautifyl basses
Is there anything Danish Pete can’t do???
of course....for example, he can't.....oh...wait...no, never mind...
Pe Peroni Hahaha he’s a brilliant musician
tbh his bass playing was a bit naff here
monkey dangus Haha definitely doesn’t compare to his amazing guitar work.
Cello maybe.
Hey! Where's Naaaythan!?
In Sainsbury’s
Nice! I guess...
What’s the song they play from the start?

I'd appreciate some metal representation for these bass videos.
Would be nice, considering how forgotten bass tends to be within metal
Depends on the genre. The Havok album from last year is a great example of how much attention the bass should garner.
Hadn't listened to Havok before, wow, me like it. And it really warms the cockles of this metal bassist to see bass treated as an actual instrument, not an octave dropped inferior guitar
Ectoplasmic36 hahah they should switch pete for Rob i gues
They have guitar videos, ya know.
Wheres Pete from? Denmark?
Bring Nathan back! All about the bass is just not the same without him.... Or Lee!
He will be back, not to worry.......

Lee, you’re such a great bass player, what do you recommend for sharp fret ends? “Fender Jazz bass American vintage reissue. Thanks.
lee is really good bass
I wish there was an andertons store here in delhi, INDIA
How much sr800?
This baby has the best tone...kinda toughy yeah
How much would that cost.
PS. Am from uganda😉😉
13:43 ouch what did that switch do to you lol
Ibanez SR875 o ibanez k5 ???
You can tell who the actual bassist is

Bring Nathan back please..
Nice lick at 11:09 =)
Aww maaan. Didn’t Ibanez send the new SR2600?
Nope
Nathan?
He’s on holiday....
Shorty is way too cool.
That wood is pronounced “weng-eh,” with the “ng” emphasized as in “song.”
“Why?” is a good question.
Pete might be a great guitar player, but I might be a better bassist :P
Haha! Every brand uses roasted wood and everybody loves it. BUT when Gibson uses it, its the worst thing ever.
1:15 the tasty lickage
Very impressive but can you seriously demo TMB line ?? LOL
Why not a 7 string bass
To understand 5 string basses you need to be a bass player. Then play a Musicman.
just like a guitarist goes for the bass' volume knob 1st XDD
I have 2 Ibanez Bass Workshop seven string basses, don't judge!
7:05 147 yr Old Man twisty noises
Okay great basses but the way they started🤦♂️
send this to Glen Fricker
Come on, play the TMB... We all know what a soundgear sounds like, wtf... "They have these new awesome models, but let's just play 5 basses of the same variant that all sound the same anyway."
Need to lay off the speed until after you make the video.
Wait... something changed. But what?
Just wish they had presenters who knew the products, that guy on the left is just plain annoying.
Danish Pete doing bass... whatever next.
Danish Pete doing drums
