I dont never stop loving you mariska. Im 35 years old when i was 15 i listen venus for the first time. Recently i listen live in japan your voice is superbly. And my love for you growing only day on my life. I neverending the fact who you are died i love you like if you are live here today.
I loved this song of Mariska Veres so much and performed many times in various concerts in 1972 - 1973. At those time I performed my song ,,Forgive me Gella,, Song about our ,,FIRST LOVE,, which one are coming to us only one time....And I found this girl Gella after 40 LONG YEARS. Very soon I will make a call to talk to her.

what some of these superficial people fail to realize is that sexy is NOT a body size, it is a mind-set. i've known people who wear a size 6 and hate themselves for not being sexy. i've known people who are overweight, and KNOW that they are sexy no matter what anyone else thinks... and they're the ones who have lovers, and not just lovers but spouses who care for them absolutely and ultimately. you make your life what you want it to be with your attitude towards that life! It's the same version. You can see Skocking Blue as the were in 1991, but they didn't play live. They made playback with the recording of 1969. At the end of the song you can hear the sound fading. So there is playback,

TV shows often had musical guests lip-sync simply for the ease of production--no remixing or sound engineers needed, etc. Towards the end Mariska went on chemotherapy for her cancer. A very common side effect of chemo is weight gain, even though you don't want to eat. This song originally was released in the late 60s. Life happens! Compassion (it's a good thing)

Some say this is the first Disco song ever recorded. No, it rocks too hard for that. Just ask the Godness on the Mountaintop. The pride of Dutch rock, them and Jan Akkerman. I'll always love this song, especially the great Pinball Wizard riff.

Others drink, take drugs and lead a promiscuous lifestyle, but I guess Mariska just loved her food too much. Sadly died of cancer at the age of 59. A cracking tune from a very sexy lady.

Don't you realize that your comment is extremely painful for those Mariska left behind like her widower André and her sisters. Cancer was in Mariska's family and so in her genes so this had nothing to do with her weight. I know, I have been living next to her for 20 years! She was a sweet lady and a great singer!

This is not the original 1969 studio recording. It is slightly slower and her voice is lower. The guitar is different in some parts and most all of it sounds live. I guess when you play a song over and over for 20 years you get it down.
As a young boy of 10 at the time this song was released, and on the radio aaaall the time, I swear I thought the chorus was, "I'm your penis I'm your fire at your desire". Like, how can they say that on the radio?
Some women are so beautiful on the outside and then again on the inside that a tiny sized body cannot contain all that beauty and love.
the music is definately pre- recorded...I think the vocals also...not sure. Otherwise she sounds exactly the same.

Yeah, this is definitely lip synching and not a live performance. If you look at all the instruments being played (except for the drums), none of them are connected to any electrical outlet. Now, unless anyone can tell me where I can buy a cordless professional keyboard, this is not live.
1970 version's sound quality is much better
Not hating, but this sounds too much like the recording. I was switching back and forth between this and the recording comparing just the first few lines. So she is either amazing and can sing something exactly the same way more than once, or this is lip-syncing, IMO.

Definitely yes. I have been listening to the original recording today on other RUclips channels and it is obvious to me both the vocals and instrumental sounds are from the 1969 studio recording.
She also mouths the shouted WOW! at the end of the 2nd verse -- "Black as the dark night she was, Got what no one else had, WOW!" -- that was originally sung by one of the guitarists; both WOWs sound the same.
