  • What Does 700K Get In Florida Versus Texas? Should you move to Florida, or should you move to Texas? Let’s talk about the difference between Florida and Texas in the $700,000 range!
A lot of people are moving to new states this year, and a big debate is whether to move to Florida or Texas. Which one is better? Today, let’s explore what you can get in the $700,000 range in Sarasota Florida, and then what you can get in Frisco Texas for that same amount. Trust me - you are going to be shocked at the difference!
Dallas Texas has become a major hot spot for out-of-state buyers because of the affordability, especially when you’re comparing prices to places like California, New York, Washington D.C., etc. In general, even in the more expensive communities, like Frisco, you’re going to get a much bigger house with a lot more usable space, both indoor and outdoor. A lot of the amenities you really want and like are also within a short drive or walking distance from the homes in Frisco, whereas Florida doesn’t really have that typical structure with the master-planned communities, like we do here in the Dallas area. Frisco is one of the more popular areas with more expensive homes than a lot of other Dallas suburbs, and yet it’s a LOT let expensive per square foot than Sarasota Florida.
Overall, Florida does offer the beach in many areas, but Dallas has lake life to make up for that, and you get a lot more house for your dollar. A lot of people are choosing to move to Dallas Texas instead of Florida because of those reasons. We definitely think you’ll get more for what you pay for here in Texas.
Let’s explore Florida vs Texas in today’s video!

Florida homes grow in appreciation faster but it is true you will get a nice home in Texas than in florida . I think florida overall is prettier due to the breaches and has better infrastructure. Texas has better job prospects and way way more industry , taxes are about the same in both places.

Not a fair comparison. 10 minutes away from miles of great beaches in FL compared to the middle of TX. Of course there will be a huge price difference.

Ok let’s make this a fair comparison… I love Texas ..and we almost moved there. …the reason we chose Cape Coral in SW Florida…is this week the highs are in the 80’s and lows in the 60’s …vs. Dallas this week high in 60’s and low 30/40,s … we pd about 300,000 for a 2000 sqft home 3 bedroom 2 big bathroom…pool home with lanai and cage …. In a beautiful neighborhood that is being developed … going out to dinner and want to go to Fort Meyers and go to a restaurant on the water… I go over an amazing bridge over the ocean with breathtaking views and an amazing sky …in 20 mins I am sitting in a restaurant listening to the ocean and watching an amazing sunset … ..there are 20 different beaches around us … and even though we don’t fish like so many ppl do here …we can go on boat rides , jet ski…go to Manatee park … and go to outdoor concerts …and live free! My daughter got married in Bonita Springs in February 40 mins from my house …the beach was pristine …got married in the Gazebo and pix on the beach beside the ocean…. Not a penny pd for a venue ..then went to a restaurant on the water …absolutely beautiful…ate outside and it was gorgeous …. You can almost be guaranteed good weather …and yes we do have a rainy season… where it rains in the afternoon… butbyou still see the sun almost every day … yes the houses in Dallas are huge and stately ….but we didn’t need more than 2000 sqft (under air) …with the enclosed front porch and lanai …we have tons of out door space to enjoy…bug free…even the garage has a screen on and we can sit in there or use for party space when we need more room for big occasions…. We have vaulted ceilings , reverse osmosis hooked right up in our home …. …so it depends on the lifestyle….when it’s hot you can float in your pool and cook in your outdoor kitchen….go to the beach or retreat to ac , which is everywhere…but we get a lot of shade on our lanai and with the cage with UV protection it’s cooler in there than outside …and of course overhead fans in every room and indoor o, out door living with our sliders. Yes Dallas has pretty street and big stately homes (everything is bigger In Texas lol…) but it all depends on space that you need….and the lifestyle you desire and the weather you prefer…. I personally think Sarasota is overpriced….

You should use another place, not Frisco, Frisco is expensive in Dallas. In fort worth and other areas of Dallas you would get even bigger houses for that price. Great video!

The way Dallas is going, it feels like we have three metro area connected. Fort worth could be its own metro area, it is so huge. Dallas could be its own metro area and the Frisco/ Plano area could be another metropolitan area.

Florida resident property taxes are very high in Texas and homes are more expensive in Dallas or Austin the beaches don't compare brown ocean water next to a chemical plant Texas does have a lot of opportunities that Florida doesn't have. If you work for a living I'd choose Texas lived in the Dallas area if you have money independently wealthy Florida.

Easy answer subtract all the beaches away from Florida && watch how many people have a change of heart❤️ The beaches is Florida's only && I did say "ONLY" advantage over Texas but then again tht really isn't much of an advantage Either bcuz Texas to have some pretty great beaches most folks just dnt know or hear abt "EM" && quite frankly I prefer either San juan or Hawaii over Florida anyway now thtz wht you call paradise on earth bcuz even if you take the beaches away from honolulu it's scenery will still blow your mind periodt🤷‍♂️🥱🌴🏝
