Same day drive from NYC (all about 3 hours or less): Lime Rock Ponoco Speedway Palmer (maybe) Thompson (maybe) NJMP a little further but still doable over a weekend: Watkins Glen Pineview Run Canaan in NH maybe I'm missing a few but there's tracks out there if you can't make it to/afford a trackday there's still plenty of autocross events held in the area and if that is still an issue, plenty of good back roads in the area that are often empty at night stop making BS excuses
