Thank you. I wanted something simple. I think it’s doing to be my test build for small form factor setups outside of the FormD T1; or until I receive my M2.
Thanks! I think the T-30 takes it up a notch. People don’t usually elect to put a low profile cooler in a NR200 but I think it’s perfect for a 65W gaming build. What do you think of the mix of builds and reviews on the channel, sometimes I just want to build and not review and vice versa.
Thank you, I do too, for me it the neutral colours with the blue cables and that massive T-30 fan. The T-30 is doing more heavy lifting than the actual cooler!
I have to wait until the end of the month until I can build my own first pc in the nr200p. I cand wait so I'm now just watching other people build in it lol
Sick rig. I am curious though as to how you mounted the phanteks t30 to the IS-55. I have the same cooler and fan but I used zipties to mount the fan, since the screws that came with the is55 aren't long enough for the t30. What screws did you use??
I purchased this chip before the official announcement for the 9800X3D and you’re correct, I don’t game at all. I spend all of my runs in Premiere Pro.
Ofcourse you can, despite the inexpensive case and cooler, this is a very component system with full load task being its only limiting factor. These tests are also noise normalized and if you want to go above 40dB then you’ll get even better performance.
I had this one on hand and it was meant for another build (Terra) but was never used. I think it’s a good cooler for this case, it also proves you don’t have to fill the entire space with cooling. You could go for taller low profile coolers and tower coolers but this one works well enough. It also allows for fans to be screwed down and not rely on the aluminum retention clips, allowing me to use the T-30. The IS-55 has screws in the box for 15 and 25mm fans but I had to source my own screws for the T-30’s.
@@chrisrussellca ok thanks. I'll definitely get it brand new then with the warranty. Good to know you had no issues. I think the reports were for the ATX variants
Just finished my M2 build with the b650i asus mb, 3 days ago. The only issues I've ran into is boot time, which where between 55 sec and 83 secs. I have fixed that issue with enabling Memory Context Restore and disabling fast boot in bios. I now get 14 sec boots. Beside this I can not complain about performance or functions of the board.
Interesting. My MSI B650I had much longer boot times than I’m having now, nothing compared to 50 seconds but 40 seconds tops. Now with ASUS it’s like 10-15 seconds if haven’t performed a hard shutdown or made some memory or PBO changes
I was curious about your thought process on air flow. Are you relying on the CPU and GPU fans to act as the intakes? Does this side panel support mounting additional fans and is there clearance to go that route if desired?
I tested two different configurations, pulling air into the cooler with the top fans exhausting air and then pulling the warm air from inside the cooler. I’m using the first as it helps keep the temperatures down more consistently. It also looks better to have the fans facing outward. If you really need better cooling you should consider a tower cooler.
Thank you, It cannot be used on the T1 in 3 or 3.25 slot mode, which are the two configurations I can use with the 4080 FE. The maximum CPU clearance height in 3-slot mode is 53mm and 48mm in 3.25 slot mode. This coolers basic height is 55-57mm with the slim 15mm fan and not the Phanteks T-30 I have in this build.
Temps aren’t bad at all, the cooler is low profile but it holds up if you use 105W eco mode, just 15W TDP less than stock. Idle was around 45-48 TDIE, so the hottest sensor.
@@chrisrussellca not too shabby, I imagine would fare a little better against a 9700x @ stock 65w. Very clean build, similar to mine...i assume many others...cept i used a 9700x and a og 4080 fe, went with the cm hyper 622 for my cooler. I like the stock corsair individually braided cables. But I like yours lol. Do you have a link for those custom psu cables?
No I used some spare 30mm screws, I think the ones that come with the T-30s are longer than 30mm. The IS-55s screw threads are raised allowing for shorter screws, if that makes sense.
always wanted one since they first came out but could never justify actually getting one. this probably a godsend for people who build and repair pc/electronics all the time for a living.
Its okay. I think you’ll still have to tune it with PBO and maybe a 105W ECO, thankfully the 9900X has a TDP of 120W so a 15W reduction to 105W isn’t a big hit and actually scores a bit higher because less heat. Unlike the 7900X at 170W. I’ll make a video soon.
You would have got much better results with a CPU cooler sucking fresh air from the back with a duct instead of a top/down cooler. Other than that, all good.
Love the translucent blue/silver PSU cables.
Thank you!, they’re a staple on the channel!
@@chrisrussellca Did you do them yourself or did you order them from someone?
@@SlyHooper14 no, these are from ModDIY.

One I get my unit, they’ve been delayed so many times
I hope you have chassis air filters at the bottom of that Mini-ITX. That RTX is an industrial vacuum cleaner...
My builds don’t usually stay assembled for too long, maybe a day or two more before the next build
Love the build.
you can try Noctua U12A for 9900X ,it provides better cooling and it fits in NR200.
Considering it but this build is just for looks and it happens to perform decently with some power limits.
How is this cooler compared to the phantom spirit?

You need 35mm screws, same gauge as the ones on the IS-55
Where did you get the blue cable? PLS
They’re from MODDIY, they’re the Ultra Soft silicon cables. Link in description.
Why did you take the old NR200 and not the Jonsbo Z20?
I already owned the NR200 and it was a good chance to use it after it sat in my basement for 2+ years.
@@chrisrussellca I agree! The thing should work and not lie idle. It turned out to be a great computer))
9900x with aircooler??? Cant believe
Believe it :)
Nice build. Can you tell me what is that cpu fan you used? I don't like the one that came with the IS-55
love the build, can i also used 2 T30 fan at the top? will it fit?
I think it can with the PSU in the front and/or lowered case position. If I remember I’ll do a test fitting and get back to youZ
Why did you go with the 9900x isntead of the 9800x3d?. Or is this a productivity pc?

Wouldn´t be easier to install psu before gpu?
No, if you’re using a long GPU like the FE, you need to enter the case at an angle. The PSU needs to go in in that order
Hows is the asus motherboard. I hear a lot of bad things about especially when trying to RMA
I haven’t had any issues, hopefully I never get to validate those reports. I really like the board, plenty of connections and IO and it looks great!
