RTX 3090 FE and 5950X Custom Water Loop!
Nope
This does NOT fit. No clue how you made it fit. I tried for 6 hours, the 280 AiO hoses hit the fan blades. Finally gave up and put the fans as push intake.
I tugged the hose from the bottom of the case, made just enough space
@@chrisrussellca Hmm, I'm pretty sure I tried everything that can be tried :(. Are you using bottom exhaust fans, and "pulling on the hose from the bottom" doesnt interfere? In any case, shame on Ncase for saying this config with this cooler fits. It really basically does not.
Wonder about Saphire Nitro +. Will it fit?
dude you gotta try air cooling for this case specifically because this case is more optimised for it, might even show better temp than your current liquid cooled rig. You can use Noctua NH-L9i and phantek t30 for exhause. I saw this dudes video and he got better thermals running the air coolers ruclips.net/video/JCir0s7cRfk/видео.htmlsi=gH-sxruL3HPeV-uR
I appreciate the input. However, air cooling a Ryzen 9 9900X with a Noctua L9a is simply not feasible. The L9a is rated for about a 65W TDP or 88W CPP. Using it would mean limiting the CPU’s power profile so drastically that I’d lose more than half the performance. Running it at stock settings would lead to immediate throttling due to thermal limitations. EIGA is a good friend of mine, and we often discuss cooling mods. In his video, he’s running a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an 8C/16T CPU with lower clocks and thermals because X3D cache is very heat-sensitive. My Ryzen 9 9900X, on the other hand, is a 12C/24T CPU. While both are rated at 120W, the 9900X generates significantly more heat, especially under heavy workloads. I’ve actually tested air cooling extensively, both on this case and others. In my NR200P refresh build, I used the 9900X with the ID-Cooling IS-55, which has a thicker heatsink and a Phanteks T30 fan mounted on top. Even that struggled to cool the 9900X adequately. For reference, I’ve also tested the L9a with the Ryzen 9 7900X, and the temperatures were far from acceptable. While I’ve created air-cooled builds on the channel in the past, my current workload focuses on creator and production tasks, where thermal efficiency and stability are critical. Gaming, while less demanding thermally, is rarely part of my workflow. That’s why my recent builds lean toward liquid cooling for CPUs like the 9900X.
Do you think this 47mm Full Cooper cooler can handle an R7 9800x3D under normal conditions or perhaps with some undervolt? I consider this is the best air cooler on the market with this profile right?
Arctic wiped out every contender
Is there enough space to put 2 sata ssd into this case?
There is no space for anything else. All your storage must fit on the motherboard.
Great review and super clean audio. Thank you.
What a shame they should allow 90 series and 50 series, this makes the case not worth buying now
Hello, What is that connector you put on the board in 0:45? I can't remember the name of it or where to find it. Thanks for the awesome video.
Great video! 8:02 your data or the scale is incorrectly the range on your graphs would indicate that the T1 performs better and the scale is too wide it would have to be seriously oscillating between 4 to 5 ghz. That said, this is the most interesting setup to test a 5080 founders. I believe you have more content to explore by changing the orientation of the vertical fans My guess is that two as intake are hurting gpu thermals.
À
custom cable length seems ON POINT, what brand? :D
This would work with the RTX 5090 FE , right?! Or is the second right fan on the GPU a problem? Only thing I changed is the PSU to SF1000 and the CPU to 9800 X3D. I also contacted Arctic for a different SSD heatsink, making sure the AF3 is compatible with the MB. Or would you send it back and rather get a different one, e.g. the ATMOS 240 now?
Your audio doesnt seem to be normalised correctly, even a shitty AliExpress fan at 600rpm is basically inaudible, while your p12 max is stupidly loud. This also doesnt align with other reviewers on youtube
Would you think the lian li edge psu and the arctic III 240 cooler fit in this case?
Do you have a list of psu cable lengths for the build?
Yes, 300mm for CPU, 400mm for GPU and 200mm 24-pin
Should put flipped config in the title, been looking for a flipped config example to follow and no1 marks what config they're going for. I jus gotta skip around in like 7 videos now i think
correct me if wrong, but i think you need to turn your pump block the other way around. since you installed the block right side up with the motherboard upside down, the offset is technically on the top of the CPU but i think it should be on the bottom of the cpu? My b if thats not correct
Was looking for guide when I was installing mine and I think you could be right. Referred to official arctic youtube guide and Gamernexus review and installation guide shows this pump is placed upside down
do you think I could fit a 3.5 slot 4080 in there?
Hey man, good video. Do you have the STL file for the circle shaped rear panel covers? Ncase in their infinate wisdom seem to only supply the rectangular /long vented covers.
Is it possible to put another one of those expansion covers on the bottom to add 2 slim fans for exhaust or intake? Might improve temps.
I have to wait until the end of the month until I can build my own first pc in the nr200p. I cand wait so I'm now just watching other people build in it lol
Two questions, how did you route the power supply cable without getting one of their power supply inlet cable accessories? And at 4:45 it looks like you have a fan hub, is this the case and which one did you use?
For the first question, I didn’t buy anything extra, the cable for the power supply comes with the case, it’s necessary in these type of cable designs where the PSU isn’t directly accessible via the rear panel. The second question, it’s the DeepCool 9 in 1, I think but it’s not available in the U.S. however.
is it possible to make the exact layout just with the GPU at the bottom instead? i hate having the Geforce RTX logo flipped lol
Yes, I believe it’s Level 2 at ncased.com/collections/all-products/products/m2-round
is it better then N case M2 ?
Quality and look wise, yes. Flexibility? No.
@@chrisrussellca I Got Gigabyte Eagle Rtx 4080 wit 343 mm long not for every SF case but M2 is fair enougch for it
What do y think get this 4070 ti super or wait 5070 ti And is the pro art 4070 ti super temp and coil whin?
Temps are good, just as good as the FEs in my opinion. If you’re looking to get this case, then you’ll need 40 series, if the anticipated measurements for the 50 series ProArt cards are correct, it won’t fit.
I always enjoy watching your videos. Can't you put two 15T fans on the bottom of the GPU?
You can…..but you’ll do more impeding than positive airflows or kind of cancels each other oth depending on how close the two are. The 4080S is a thick card.
Does the cooler touch the side panel?
Not in my setup, your mileage may very depending on your motherboard. My X670E-I works fine.
Its interesting how you got worse gpu thermals with the inverted layout. I got a lot better gpu thermals with the gpu at the top and and slightly worse cpu, But with classic, gpu was 10c higher and the cpu was about 7c cooler.
Do you think you could fit the 280 Arctic AIO ?
You can on paper but you may need some elbow grease. 240 is my preferred. Making a video now testing the 9950X against the 9900X in the M2 Vertical GPU and the thermals are impressive in vertical.
Nicely done Chris! If you ever want to feature more Noctua products, please let us know :)
Hi, thank you, I’d love to communicate with you regarding upcoming projects. Please reach out to me at chris@chrisrussell.ca
This video sold me on the D12L. Thanks Chris, subscribed!
This video inspired me to build the same computer. I know you said a 4070 super wont fit, but earlier you listed the Asus 4080 Super - would that fit just fine? Oh, and what kind of screw driver is that? :)
Hey so I ordered this case and it finally arrived. I got a friend to 3D print me those backplate fillers but where do you get those round ones at 7:34 ?
Travel kit or even a simple top strap would be awesome! I really liked your video and the way you paced and narrated it, your video deserves a like! I'll be checking out your other videos based off of just this one
noctuah
Affiliate links for motherboard and RAM are both pointing to Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240.
Thanks for the heads up. Sorry about that. I will fix ASAP.
With this same layout will a 240 aio fit ?
Yes, It would fit if you side mount the radiator (extra side mount usually necessary if you want top exhaust fans). It won’t fit at the top or bottom unless you opt for the VGPU orientation (extra purchase necessary).

@@chrisrussellca in that case I suppose I’ll just stick to air cooling. Only going to be gaming on a 7800x3d. Thank you as always!
Would this setup work if u had the radiator up top ? Using the same AIO of course
probably not as the height is only around 25,5 cm. ITX motherboards are 17cm, aio with fans are 6-7cm, and GPU is ca 2cm per slot. I am gonna attempt it myself (with a 5xxx FE hopefully) but I doubt it will work out. Instead I most like gonna do classic setup with side intake aio and exhaust on top
