Catchers should make a firm throw back to the pitcher after every pitch. It improves the pitchers rhythm. Plus it looks better, feels better, and sounds better. The pitcher prefers it that way.

The 1st out trying to stretch that double in the 7th was an OK out. You gotta go for it at that point. But I thought the out at home was pretty bad. You can't hesitate there, either go or stay. His hesitation caused a pretty easy tag for the catcher.
