The spin trainer baseball is actually used a lot at SEC schools and professional baseball for pitchers who struggle to throw a true 4seam fastball. I personally have used it as well as a catcher and think it works
The finger gloves are for catchers. What you do is get mini wiffle balls and you catch them with the glove because as a catcher you want to catch the ball in that area.

The ball that's missing the sides is to help you throw breaking balls and to help you hit them also. I'm 50 and they had those when I played little league way back then. You could get some serious break on those suckers. The ones we had were made out of pure hard rubber.
