    Thank you so much Steph, you really really did try this out for us all and I really really appreciate you for doing this. And yes 👍 the image was there, but it’s very faint. You gave it your very best shot, and we know what to do now. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

      Thanks Mags. Yes a little disappointing but hopefully answered Ros's question. Thanks for watching. Have a good evening 💗

    Did you ever try double printing the photo before giving it shot? Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you for demonstrating so many techniques, sad that few really worked well. The thing is, I had thought the image should remain on the plate and not yet transfer to paper. The point would be to keep it on the plate and then add layers of colour as one wishes (but each layer must fully dry), and then pull the print after adding matt medium (fabulous) or white paint. I have had little success but when it has worked it has with certain glossy magazines (but very inconsistently). I've inked the plate, rubbed the image from the magazine and then removed the magazine image and voilà, the image/text remain on the plate. Let it dry, add other colour(s), let them dry and then do a final wipe with matt medium and print. I have seen videos where it works very well on laser jet printers but never on inkjet (although one site shows a wet inkjet image transferring but my inkjet images are never wet coming out of the printer). I'm off to but a laser jet printer: www.xerox.co.uk/en-gb/office/printers/xerox-b230-printer

    You need to put something on the plate BEFORE you try to leave an image. Try a very very thin layer of acrylic medium.

      Thanks Evelyn. It may be worth a try. I think a different printer might give a better (or worse) result but I don't think you'll ever get a fantastic image. I gave it my best shot. Thanks for watching 💗

      Oh my! Groggy is the word for it lol. I couldn't do my video this afternoon because I can barely talk. Couldn't string a sentence together. I think the biggest thing here making a difference is the printer. I am sure different ones give better results. But I tried everything I could think of. Thanks for watching. Hope your grogginess wears off soon xx

    Ive been trying this today and wondering why its not working, when the videos on here make it look possible. Thanks for making me feel less of a failure! Could you recommend a reasonably priced laser printer so I can actually do transfers? Thanks.

    • @woollysteph
      @woollysteph  3 года назад

      Yes the photo paper I used first but it didn't work at all. I swapped to normal paper after watching a video but I think there are too many factors to control it, the biggest being the printer itself. I think that's why some people get better results than others. Thanks for watching 💗
