@@koolkat8639 dude, sooooo good. I just bought my exhaust. It’s so good stock, I can’t wait to have it tuned. The electronics are really great, which is a weird thing to love. You can wail on the bike and the electronics keep it in line. I alway cover the brake just in case, but they have never failed. It’s just mind blowing. All of the people who hate liter bikes, who are scared of the power. They would love this bike. It’s so well balanced, I take it to the twisties all the time. Had it since February, and I’m still excited every time I get on it. If you haven’t been on a liter bike in a bit, get a ride on one of these!!!!
@@koolkat8639 mine too, great bike. I just put 1000km on it over the past 3 weeks. I've never seen anything like it. I'm a older rookie so I've been on a 2020 Honda CBR650R as my recent milder experience. It looks fantastic too.
In regards to the RSV4 i believe the tester were referring to the previous gen. The newer gen Aprilla lowered the rearsets and clip ons which made it better. I owned a 2023 and it was a very comfortable bike at 5' 11", i have sat on the previous and it was a little cramped but i could have dealt with it.

Love the throwback colors, Heli bars and rearsets will make it a much better streetbike oh and a Graves slip on is a must!😎
@@jimpanzer07 since posting this, there are some updates! I bought a Spark exhaust, had an issue with the Spark dealer. Cancelled the Spark. I put on an Arrow Pro Race with link pipe. Now it has an all titanium exhaust. This week it’s going on the dyno. Tune, velocity stacks, air filter, block off plates. I’m going to move on to rear sets and some other mods next step!

I went to a used bike dealership and got on all bikes there. When I got to my Honda 1000 I knew it was a perfect match for me just by getting on it. I prioritized fit and don’t regret it. I’m riding my 1k till it won’t run any more…
that is great! it’s great when you find the one. I was trying to point out you can always make small changes. I really wish the pegs were positioned an inch differently. I bought it, even though I fit on the Aprilia the best. I like Japanese reliability enough to make me pick this bike. you have a Honda, you get me!

Being 62, saying you got your street license at 20. 42 years experience. I bet you are going to be around $800 a year. Just a guess man. Someone told me that it has something to do with unpaid claims the insurance company has for the model bike. Gsxr prices are insane! I bet they are the most expensive. All of the liter bikes are expensive. Aprilia Rsv4 with 213 horsepower is cheaper, so trying to figure it out….

I wanted the 1990 zx7 so bad, and I was in the market for a liter bike. perfect timing. I’m gonna modify it, but keep all the original parts, minus the warning decals. love it! thanks for checking out my video!

One of the best and proven 1000 cc bikes you can get. Great track bike , successfully raced all over the world. If you want performance it's all you need. Up to 6000RPM- anyone can ride one, from 8-14000RPM you better think about , and know what your'e doing.
The electronics on the bike are so good. I need to do another review, now that I’m at 1200 miles. I’m going to say that I have a lot of experience before this next sentence. I try and get crazy with it, to see what will happen. I want to stress not to do this unless you can handle it. I hammer the throttle to see if It will loop. nope, the tire just sits right back down. I keep it in sport mode because I like the throttle response best. That means the lowest traction control. I’m telling you, amazing bike!

@@Broken-six it’s good nothing wrong with it has really good out of corner power not much on top end electronics are useless other than traction control in the rain I love the bike had a last gen 675r also never had a problem out of either bike

@@Broken-six Well not really lol, because I had that 1995 ninja in 2010, I loved that bike though, still do wish I wouldnt have sold it. I guess that's how it goes though, our first bikes no madder what they were or how fast they were are the most fun.
Although that bike was outdated and had a single headlight (Single headlights weren't cool after like 1999) That 95 kawi 600 I had was just as fast as new 600's, it rode great but was a bit heavy.
Now and for several years I've had a 2005 ninja 636, I guess I still like my old bikes just not any older then 2004ish.
Regardless, that Kawasaki 90's paint job from you're video is iconic.
I have crazy fond memories of my ole 600. whenever these guys want to go from 250’s straight to liter bikes, I’m like nooooooooooo! not just for safety, enjoy the ride. get great on that 600, then move up. it’s always great to have something to look forward to. plus, I rather chase big bikes on a small bike. makes you a better rider.

Man the Rsv4!! take it for a ride, I took one out but didn’t record it. I’ll see if I can borrow it again. what an engine, and I fit on that bike better than this one. Hit up my man Spencer at Blackmans in Emmaus. I love this bike a bit more though. The paint, and being Japanese tipped the scales for me. hope to see you out this spring!

You don’t need to use the clutch to change gears bro, it comes equipped with a quick shifter, i got mine 2 weeks ago, congrats
I didn’t use the quickshifter for the first 500 miles. I went a bit overboard with the break in. you still use the clutch on occasion. not much. it is a great bike. I don’t know if you got your 600 miles yet, but I hope you like her. such a good bike when you can rev her. welcome to the club man!!!

I’ve rode dirt bikes motorcycles all my life but never a street bike this is going to be my second one but the 600 version of this 1000 cc is to much for me a 600 is ff. Plenty of power and speed for me lol
well man if you’re from the Blue Ridge area, you are spoiled. Good riding all around you. More of a Harley Davidson haven, but a sportbike on those roads weeeee doggie!
No gas gauge is crazy
it has a gauge to tell you how much gas you used, I’m like what? why didn’t you just make that the gas gauge!
If it only had analog gauges.

@@gary2kr1 congrats man!!! That’s gonna be a carver for sure! I’ve been so conservative with my break in period. Have to say I’m proud of myself. Kept it under 6k for the first 650 miles. Then only occasionally went up to 12k, as of today I’m at 950. I think I’m good to let her rip now. I think it needs to get up near redline tomorrow. I do think she needs a tune. The restrictions, it seems way too tame.

I have to admit, I have zero knowledge on the subject. You are changing out the wheels, or just taping the green ones it comes with. Yeah man, sorry I can’t be of any help. you are gonna love the bike though, it behaves so well. I spent all day today, looking for twisty roads. awesome!!!

@@PaddleDogC5 I think the rims are a throwback to the 90’s bikes. A little blue and white will look nice. I gotta tell, get some good cleaner. Those rims get soooo dirty. I don’t know if you saw one in person yet, but they are bright. I’m actually cleaning her tomorrow. I bought special wheel clean. I’ve never bought that before, seemed like a con. Why wouldn’t the bike wash be just as good, but I’m trying it. See if it helps. I also bought some ceramic spray. Im actually doing the whole bike, but I’m going to see how it works on the wheels. If you remember, ask me in a week or two. If it worked, I’ll tell you the name of the spray and you can get some for your new bike. Plus, sometime this week I’m going to post a new video. It’s going to be a few minutes of my ride home from the dealer, and 15 mins of the rip I went on today. Get you daydreaming about your new bike!

@Broken-six Enjoy man! I bought a 2021 Z900 brand new and just sold it a few weeks ago :( I have a 9 month old baby girl now and barely any time to ride. Just made sense to sell it for now. It won't be my last bike though, I will ride again.

What color tank pads are you gonna put on the sides of the tank? With those 3 colors going on there, it will be easy to ruin the aesthetics if you just slap black knee grips on the sides of the tank.
that is something I’ve been agonizing over! If I put any on, probably clear. I’ve been trying out how it would feel without any. I know, I know. Problem is, being 6’2” my knees don’t fit in the cutout very well. I’m considering rearsets, then seeing how everything fits. I almost bought the Aprilia, because I fit better on it. I don’t regret my choice though. I’ve ridden a lot of bikes and this is an all time favorite. The whole package is great, just my knee position is bad. thanks for checking out my video! check back and see what I do to her!!
Yes. I’m in the same situation. I just bought the same Anniversary Edition Ninja. I really want side tank pads for better grip. But I don’t want to kill the appearance of that beautiful paint job. I also considered clear, but they may wind up looking bad over time as they get scratched, dirty, cloudy from UV damage, etc. Wish there was a custom tank pad for this bike with two colors above and below that would match up. Definitely looking forward to seeing what your solution will be.
That’s funny, I’m 5hinking the same. the clear ones get grungy! I’m waiting a bit to see if somebody comes out with something. R&G made a video with white frame sliders for this bike, but the put black tank grips all over it. looked horrible!!
@@Broken-six I sat on the bike tonight. I realized that my knees aren’t even gripping on the tank. Rather, the green plastic fairings just below the tank. I searched everywhere online for small green tank pads for Ninja. Nothing! I really need a solution for this. Gripping with your knees is really important on a sport bike. Frustrated.
Also, just received my TST industries integrated tail tidy and blinker system today. Can’t wait to get rid of the plastic “whale tail” tomorrow.
What is the cost of insurance on a bike like that?
all depends on your age and experience. Cheapest, I know of is $900 a year. know a guy who pays over $6000. Crazy!

I know, but it’s a dream bike! I’ve had cheap used bikes most of my life. I was happy with them, but always hoped to buy a new bike one day. I wanted that new one to be special!
@Broken-six 20k is way to expensive for a Motorbike 10k is alot for one but 20k is just beyond in my opinion.
@@HarryCallahan-tf3qr I could have a ton of fun on a cheap bike. I love being on two wheels! I’ve been through a ton in the last ten years of my life. I was told I’d be in a wheel chair, I spent a few years sitting in a chair, then I was in the hospital real close to kicking the bucket. I decide if I make it, I’m gonna try and ride a motorcycle again. People thought I was nuts. I couldn’t lift own legs into bed. Turns out less than a year later I can ride. I can ride well. Knee dragging, Lovin life riding. I decided to get my dream bike. Never know what’s gonna happen in life. It’s less than a Kia, with Ferrari levels of performance. Worth it to me. Totally worth $22,000!
@Broken-six I own a 2002 ZX6R 636 which I paid £1900 for back in 2018 that's all I can afford it's similar colours to you're bike by there it's a nice bike but it's nothing compared to yours for sure!
@@HarryCallahan-tf3qr dude! I had the best time of my life on a zx6. I was 21, lived at Myrtle beach. I was pretty broke, but didn’t care, or realize it. I had pretty girls on the back. Went to concerts on it. It was fast and cool! Just once I wanted to have the top of the pack. A brand new liter bike!! It’s not disappointing, but I’d trade it to go back in time to my zx6 days!
