How these babies hold their breath under water surprises me every time. I will be hyperventilating every video thinking that baby is definitely not gonna make it but they do every time.
If you watch closely you'll see that another mother monkey will be watching, making sure when the little one surfaces and is doing okay. So 😎 Also, mum's is taking glances at her babe to see if all is well. If babe is choking mum gives it a few seconds to regain it's breath and down again.

Tara and Leyla have always loved water and teaching babies to swim. They used to take Amara swimming when she was a baby.

Baby monkeys never come close to drowning. I am amazed how they drink bacteria and virus infested water and don't get sick and die. They have one hell of an immune system.
Actually many of them die from diseases, nearly all are born with communicable diseases that can be transmitted to humans via saliva, feces, urine, eye fluids etc.

Agree I was just telling my husband this exact same thing but I think there is something much deeper to ALL OF THIS! Some (not all) of these so called "H¥BR¡D§" Species seems to have been handled by "man" or should I say "beast" like some kind of testing and there are things that aren't natural and weren't meant to be and won't have been if not forced or altered in some way by no means of their doing. We all need to wake up and realize if they have clearly done this to monkeys then you can bet they are doing this same thing to their own "mankind" meaning US, YOU AND ME, EVERY AND ANYONE THEY CAN. wake up world and pray, people pray! We are in very dark and evil times.

This is a rite of passage for ALL of the babies to go through. Monkeys like this can hold their breath up to 3 minutes if necessary. It teaches the babies to like the water and not be afraid of it. That's why you always see the juveniles jumping in and playing in the water. I love when they jump in like cannonballs!

Just a little tip for when using the word "drowned" in your titles.If she really drowned then she would not be alive,unless recesstated. So unless she is coughing up water and/or turning a pale color. Then she is just fine, no need to worry...But, in the case of her coughing up water you would say, "choking" instead of "drowned"
Or try- Toni couldn't hold her breath for the long time that Tara had her under the water.
ALSO JUST SO YOU KNOW: Monkeys (big&small) can hold their breath under water for long periods of time.They are very good swimmers as well.

Once complete be sure and read what you wrote in Khmer and be sure it contains all the Verbs like "nearly" drowned. They do the best they can if I were them I would write all the titles is Khmer and if you want to read them you can translate it. Primitive monkeys may spend an hour translating what you wrote and the words he translates from English to Khmer may not be words for what you wrote. Example Khmer "shake" it translates in English as convulsions; Khmer "awful" English "pitiful". They do their best.

Why do you guys always assume that the babies almost drown when from every single video I've seen they float and some natural swimmers similar to human babies when they are taught from infancy to float on their backs. They're all fine.
