Mom goes swimming to stop baby from asking for the nipple. Do you know monkeys have short term memory they learn by BEHAVIOR AND TEACHING. Did you know monkeys go or express for the milk every 10-30 seconds? Even at this age yes she looks so little but she has teeth now. Can you image how raw moms nipples are from suckle let alone adding teething into the mix. Monkey moms constantly DISCIPLINE their offspring they have to leave baby alone, allow others to take them , go swimming and so much more just to try anything. Some moms have found genius ways such as teaching them rite from day 1 like mom Jade seems harsh at times but it’s necessary, some not so much like new moms or the moms like Jane who just deal with it not to have the monkey scream and cause problems within the troop. MONKEY MOMS ARE ALL STRONG AND IT NEEDS TO BE APPRECIATED!
While I do agree with you on most of what you said I do want to dispute 2 things. 1) monkeys actually have the best memory of any non human species. They can recognize other monkeys or even people years after they haven't seen them. They are actually incredibly smart and have excellent memories. They can recognize sounds, shapes, colors, and many other things months or years after not being exposed to them. They have fantastic memories. In regards to not letting them nurse all the time you are correct. They do train them and teach them to walk alone, forage for food, be taught proper behavior and their place in the hierarchy of the tribe. They also will look like they are hurting the infant but are actually playing sometimes too. You made several excellent points with your comment which most people don't take the time to learn about and just trust the title of the video or any of the things vo's say, even though most of the fights, injuries, behaviors are caused by the humans messing with them to get video content. That infant was probably injured on purpose by one of the people taking the video. They are very cruel to them.

Even with whatever was going on with the arm it was easily able to maneuver to moms back when it wanted to. Then like a rocket back to the nip. These babies can hold their breath longer than normal humans can. And they are great swimmers from an early age.
They must learn how to effectively kill their brood. Not in this stupid way.
Put them under water for 10 minutes. They can only hold their breath for
9 1/2 minutes. We should give stopwatches to them.
But it can also be. They are attempting to reach the next level in evolution .
These are gills. Until then, they should strap on an oxygen tank.

They are able to hold breath up to five minutes. That doesn't mean they are comfortable doing the full 5 minutes. When babies come up they are gasping for air. Some babies have sheer panic on their face when mom come out of water. Some babies are ok. But I see the ones that do not want to be held in front, and the crawl up to moms back!

Old video. Lola has a very good mom and experiences good recovery with use of arm in future. Main issues down the road have more to do with people.

Awww beautiful Lola was one tough lil cookie!! She recovered from her serious injuries and was a happy funny lil girl until the vos injured her again!! Which wasn’t even a serious injury but it was all done for the fake NGO which then was shut down and all the monkeys were removed and recused by WLA!! Lola lost her family but has a much better life now

I don’t remember the whole story but, she was trying to eat the best greens 🥬 for medicinal purposes for her milk 🍼. She’s a good mom to her baby girl monkey 🐒🍼. Looking at the video, it was so frustrating that she was in so much pain and it seemed like her mother didn’t care. I truly believe that she was trying to help do her part for her baby. Very sad 😢 video.
Mom probably figures she( the baby) wont be able to ever use that arm again, and wants to make sure the good arm is very strong. You can't have a weakness and survive in the wild.

This is years old. Thats Lola afte a dog bit her. The arm healed crookded. I dont know how cause mom kept stepping on it but it healed. Crooked with the elbow locked. She couldnt use that hand to climb trees and was always falling or getting in trouble with adult monkeys over food. Her mom is low rank so she was always getting beat up. The VO used to feed her all the time in inviting reprisals against her and her mom couldnt do anything she was low rank
