Post Malone looks like a guy I would hate, but I've been following him for a couple years now and he is one of the kindest, most down to earth artists out there. I LOVE him!
I feel like much of that may be due to changing norms around tattoos. In the past, it was really only the tough outcast who would have tattoos everywhere, but nowadays you are just as likely to find a really down to earth guy have them.

As for the bodyguards, that's not being rude, that's just protecting yourself. He did get his house robbed back in 2018, then he wrote the song Paranoid about it, so I'm guessing that a famous artist like him would have to have bodyguards for that reason.

He makes his own style of music and every new song he puts out makes the world like him more and more. He streams on Twitch, does a podcast with H3H3, stays active with fans, and he loves The Devil Wears Prada(automatic win in my book). I agree with just about every aspect of this video. That said, there is a stark difference between hip-hop and rap. Drake, 21, Lil' Xan, and whoever else was pictured around 5:14 are rappers who make rap music. Rap music is emotionally simple and undemanding, focusing on; as Scott pointed out: money, girls, and having fun. Hip-hop, on the other hand, is emotionally-rich and bountiful. Look no further than Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Greyskul, El-p, Eyedea, Joey Badass, Immortal Technique, Sage Francis, Dead Prez, and others. When I think of rap music, I think of Wu or Boot Camp or Pun or even Nas or Jay (because I'm 40 and that's the rap I grew up with). While there are some emotional tracks sprinkled throughout each of the aforementioned artist's catalog, I don't necessarily think of emotion when said artists come to mind. Contrarily, when I think of Aesop Rock or Company Flow or Arsonists or Diabolic, I think of emotion-laden tracks that define the underground (hip-hop) and helped me through some trying personal times. Point is this; rap and hip-hop are two entirely separate beasts with similar yet opposing nomenclatures and as a fan of the latter, it breaks my heart when the two are conflated as one. A quick addendum; I am in no way attacking Scott or his opinions, I'm merely stating my own as a proponent, subscriber, and contributor (I write and sell music) to the hip-hop genre.

I agree with just about every aspect of this video. That said, there is a stark difference between hip-hop and rap. Drake, 21, Lil' Xan, and whoever else was pictured around 5:14 are rappers who make rap music. Rap music is emotionally simple and undemanding, focusing on; as Scott pointed out: money, girls, and having fun. Hip-hop, on the other hand, is emotionally-rich and bountiful. Look no further than Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Greyskul, El-p, Eyedea, Joey Badass, Immortal Technique, Sage Francis, Dead Prez, and others. When I think of rap music, I think of Wu or Boot Camp or Pun or even Nas or Jay (because I'm 40 and that's the rap I grew up with). While there are some emotional tracks sprinkled throughout each of the aforementioned artist's catalog, I don't necessarily think of emotion when said artists come to mind. Contrarily, when I think of Aesop Rock or Company Flow or Arsonists or Diabolic, I think of emotion-laden tracks that define the underground (hip-hop) and helped me through some trying personal times. Point is this; rap and hip-hop are two entirely separate beasts with similar yet opposing nomenclatures and as a fan of the latter, it breaks my heart when the two are conflated as one. A quick addendum; I am in no way attacking Scott or his opinions, I'm merely stating my own as a proponent, subscriber, and contributor (I write and sell music) to the hip-hop genre.
