So I think billboard just sorts by genre and then puts the artists in the same categories that their streaming platforms are labeled as. Every album he's released has been classified on all platforms as 'Hip-Hop/Rap'. So even tho he doesn't personally believe he is one, clearly his label is putting him in that category to either boost streams or because they don't know what music he is actually making.
