We need to speak about the entire culture that has now been built around these lies, telling artists who are trying to keep up that they have to jump through hoops and maybe just maybe they’ll get their break when that’s just not true due to the industry machine being behind it all. Social media platforms are in on it too with the algorithms and having people pay for ads, while simultaneously making it difficult to be seen and heard
the new the weeknd song "dancing in the flames" absolutely benefited from this. it took 2 days to reach 4M. after that, it took around 5 hours to reach 18M. i don't buy the sudden bump in streams.
For things to change we as consumers have to stop disempowering ourselves by believing our individual choices don’t have power!!! It’s like a two way street, the industry will keep feeding us slop as long as we keep eating it.
Yupp recently i went on a particular website and kept getting redirected to a newly released Kanye West music video.. went into the comments and others were saying fake views and that they were also redirected to the video its crazy!
I think this originally started out as unknown artist trying to get a edge on the market against the machine that only pushes what they deem profitable. They caught on to how it can benefit them and now it's out of control.
Idk why you using so many Drake images lmao Drake just had the highest grossing tour in hip hop history, people actually listen to him. There's plenty of rappers that has needed to cancel their tours cause the amount of people going isn't equivalent to their streams, Drake is not one of those rappers tbh.
he’s not definitely i just say drake is like mrbeast, he’s pulling numbers regardless, he probably has a bot count to which WOULD make someone else like nearly 500k or some shit, but he pulls in real streams if you take away those bots he still be the most listened to rapper by even a longer shot. cause say even if 20 million of his listeners was bots, then what thats like back down to 56-60 million? but if you did the same to these other rappers they go down to like 5-12 million listeners. Its why artists like Drake, Kendrick, J Cole, are so rich and these new artists aren’t got any money.
In the 1950s the radio broadcasting industry experienced the "Payola" scandal where DJs & others were bribed to play certain songs more often to generate demand, sell tecords but also boost royalty payments.
music was started off scams. art has always sort of been that way. I love art more than any thing but look at how someone like Soulja boy got on and we all love Soulja boy.
To some extent you have to look at it from the artist perspective because streams boost their image and Status it prompts labels to sign them and gets more popularity
Real recognize real bro nobody really falling for the ice spice best new rap artist of the year HELL NA😂 music rn is trash. The new new generation coming up is coming soon, and all A list artist are going to flop hard. Say it not so.
This is why songs are shorter and shorter so that people can play the song over and over for streams I heard this R&B album by Ray Lozano it’s 12 minutes 12 songs that’s not even an EP and she has millions of streams because each song is 1 minute long
You're right - The World is about Business, too many people who are inside the music business who work for these labels are manipulating the system. It's all pretty disgusting and should be out in the open so that no one ever gets fooled again. Go independent and work really hard to create platforms that help people and are really open about costs.
Just business...it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't use the same scheme to oppress other Artists, who don't fit their agendas. That's what killed the industry. They want everything to be for gays and satanists--ignoring the largest demographics, and the ones most likely to pay for their music, than scouring the web trying to get it for free
Berry Gordy would had busted a vein in his head if one Motown Artist has took one picture throwing up horns. If they wasn't Dianna Ross, they would have been gone the next day. And she would have been put on notice. These dudes today, ain't doing heavy metal, or niche genres, but think they can sell Country, pop or R&b, music by appealing to cliques

Same thing with follower counts. If you pay close enough attention a lot of these big names are losing more followers than gaining but somehow their numbers stay consistent. The labels literally control everything
These people do have fans but the numbers they show us aren’t accurate. Artist that fake streams make and get real fans because when people see a song that looks like it’s poppin and they haven’t heard it they’re more likely to click. I think bro explained it pretty well
lmao... The thing is he got investors to impress. How the hell he got more streams than Taylor, Travis, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd and Beyoncé (some of them combined tbh) but he never went on a Stadium tour? He co-headlined a tour with two established A list rappers, but yet is going on Arenas 15 years into his career. To not mention his latest #1 "hits" that stay on top of the chart this week and then falls off the top 10 the week after without ppl talking about or listening to it in real life lol
@@theonlykjkng What kind of argument is that? By your logic all these artists that are doing "numbers" on TikTok and Instagram would be doing sold out tours because the perception of them is bigger than they actually are.

Just because he doesn't do Stadium Tours like the others you mentioned, doesn't mean he isn't active. His last tour was the highest grossing Hip Hop tour of all time and to compare a Hip Hop tour which is primarily arenas to a Pop tour which is primarily stadiums is a bad faith take. UMG isn't going to put money into an artist unless they know they would recoup it. You can fake streams all you want, but real people are filling out those shows and buying the merchandise.

NF: This is the industry, where it ain't how big you are, it's how big you seem".
They do it to create a false perception and to convince others not to stray from trends or go independent. Creative and authentic artists call them out on their shadiness, and they block them out because artists like them promote the themes that would make the industry look worse or keep them from controlling the narrative.
casually quotes NF 💀
you killed me at NF, i bet you a fan of hum because he doesnt curse in his rap, the kind of rapper ou van show to your mother right.?
@@paulvitala8367 Or maybe because he doesn't chase trends and offers value in his music? What have you heard or gotten from NF's music to make that broad of an opinion? I'm curious to hear.
@@jmbeats3308 no I def agree that every artist serves their purpose and the idea of nf appealing to a non cursing audience is good ….hes just cringe is all, he raps but isn’t a staple of hiphop at all ….he definitely selling out shows and is doing good for him and his audience so I’ll give him that ….can never hate on a man making his money
@@uglysegura9616 This isn't about NF being a staple, not cursing vs cursing, or even if I or others like his music. I use him as an example because he challenges the narrative of the industry and people like him are offering different and valuable music. He has metrics rivaling or above other Gen Z rappers but he's blocked out by the industry, that's what I want people to understand.
Rent is due I guess Blacky 😂
What’s up with the Drake footage? What are you trying to say?
Drake is fake
He’s turned to a Drake hater haha it’s obvious. Kinda of silly to just slap Drake into this video for no reason when he’s proven to be the best selling and streamed
@@josephiriaswell put drake or taylor Swift all over the video..youll get traffic
Numbers have always lied. We've had it twisted this whole time 😭
Glad to have you back.
They pay people in the concert audience too so you can’t necessarily use the size of the crowds at their concerts.
We need def need a update on this topic with everything going on with Drake and this lawsuit
I think Drake will lose his lawsuit against Universal and Spotify!
the new the weeknd song "dancing in the flames" absolutely benefited from this. it took 2 days to reach 4M. after that, it took around 5 hours to reach 18M. i don't buy the sudden bump in streams.
HE'S BACK, and even had a glow up🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I remember that episode of black market. Rip Michael Kenneth Williams and check out a documentary called: ’Paid in full’
I’m so happy to have come across your channel. Aspiring artists should pay close attention.
😭 why is all the footage of drake, homie hasn't caught a break in a minute
It’s always been popular to hate on drake off vibes alone. Same ones hating be streaming his music though
Drake is Lebron James, bring views talk bad about him, people love to hate Drake and thats why hell never fall off
Drake brings views bro it’s always been a trend to hate on him it’s embarrassing
They all say Drake fell off, but they still use his image to get views.
@@adot8082well no shit headlines is fire but i still despise him
I really enjoy your commentary!!
music was started off scams. art has always sort of been that way. I love art more than any thing but look at how someone like Soulja boy got on and we all love Soulja boy.
majorly good video Blacky!
Honestly, this was very god and insightful on the topic.
One of your Top videos of 2024 ngl!
Great job! 👍🔥
There’s a lot of Drake B-roll in this video, what did Mr. Speakz mean by this 🤔
Nothing. Just clickbait thumbnail cause Drake brings in the views
Maybe because Drake and tswift streams known to be manipulated hard by UMG.
Drake = views
Drake engagement baiting, so many do it nowadays
Love you Blacky! Keep up the great work and reporting!
To some extent you have to look at it from the artist perspective because streams boost their image and Status it prompts labels to sign them and gets more popularity
Thank you for being so outspoken about this!
Mans skipped the main arc and is covering the filler
😂
This was a great, well put together video! 🔥🔥
Real recognize real bro nobody really falling for the ice spice best new rap artist of the year HELL NA😂 music rn is trash. The new new generation coming up is coming soon, and all A list artist are going to flop hard. Say it not so.
Thank you for using your platform to address these major issues. Mad respect Blacky.
This is why songs are shorter and shorter so that people can play the song over and over for streams I heard this R&B album by Ray Lozano it’s 12 minutes 12 songs that’s not even an EP and she has millions of streams because each song is 1 minute long
that’s a scam lmao
Those better be the best songs made in mankind lmao
Actually seeing blacky speak is interesting
been enjoying these new videos heavy lately, keep it up
Bro used Drakes videos for almost the whole video and thumbnail to push agenda like he is only talking about drake, of all people to use when there french Montana and Travis Scott who are the faces of buying streams smh I really don't like youtubers
He did it to please the Kendrick dickriders which is funny because Not Like Us is the most obvious case for fake streams.
Oke why you’re putting drake so much in your video?
Dude, your channel is not being pushed to the recommendation page at all for me,, I love watching ur shit but it rarely pops up, I gotta look u up
hold up twin, yo fits been tuff recently. should post them on socials more, put folks on
😂🤣😂
I think the one conversation no one has is the fact that a label buying views is doing the artist a favour if the risk is being shelfed instead.
Is your video views fake too?😭
You can tell when someone has fake views and real views. Mr Beast has fake views.
@@Christo_Trismegistusyeah but he has a real fanbase too, i feel like there’s a level of where you go from fake to real. big accounts will always have bots, if it goes from comments to followers.
Yes, creature 👹. 😎
So happy to see that you're back
Even as a kid, i never cared by someone's numbers. People like Drake and Nicki who raps and brags about their sells, i can't f with.
Drake is not someone who fits in this category bruh is on the world list 😂 the world isn’t America that the dumbest comment ever
💯💯💯💯
They both Literally sell out Arena's everywhere those are fans my guy it's ok to use ur brain
@@frostynuggz4151 numbers show he should be filling stadiums, there's artist who's whole tour is stadiums not arenas lol
@@theeunforgiven13who taylor n the weeknd?
You’re definitely on point with this video ❗️
Soooo.... Not like us is not bigger than what everyone makes it? Interesting
ALL Your FAVORITE Rappers, Musicians and Record Labels fake streams, buy streams, own streaming farms. Can't beat em... Join em.
Your opinion is invalid if you seriously think TOLD MYSELF is an okay song gang. 🙏 The studio DON’T want you back
Same thing with follower counts. If you pay close enough attention a lot of these big names are losing more followers than gaining but somehow their numbers stay consistent. The labels literally control everything
so glad you released this. cus i know damn well it’s not really people out here like “Aye throw on some drake and sexy redd”.
It’s me, I’m people
Litterly everyone that throws parties and clubs play sexy redd and drake
this drake hate is so forced lmaoo everyone listens to drake sorry to burst ur bubble
@@wavybaby999 no one is asking to hear that BS. it’s what the industry is pushing.
@@thekaleabsamuel gotta do better.
i need to get my music out, thank you blacky for your industrial knowledge. seems i have some work to do
This is known, but why is Drake on the thumbnail. Allegations aside, the guy actually has the tour sales and album sales to back up the numbers.
@@arseeoliveira6934 Of course he's going to have more streams or equivalent streams to the artists you mentioned, he's constantly dropping music and doing features.
@arseeoliveira6934 You under estimate the amount of people who like Drake. As someone once said when it's time to groove or chill with baddies we play Drake. Nothing was the same, Thank me later, Views etc will continue to dominate the aux
I’m so glad that my dad and mum had good music taste, taught me how to play percussion/drums, my music taste varies so much and I’m so happy my gf is the type to learn about a song / artist I like or listen to - hopefully our kids take
In the past they used to pay for radios and tvs to play their songs, nothing really changed
Scooby doo face ahh can’t be jump scaring us like that
Yeah, they’re stealing money and accolades. It’s not just rappers, but pop and rock and country acts. Comparing legacy artists to today artists in order to diminish the impact of largely Black legacy artists. It’s just sickening. It’s also further shaping what music gets played and pushed
amazing video bro💪🏼
Another Drake engagement vid with fake accusations
That's why when someone brings up the billboard in an argument I just shut em out.
Oh he back back now🫶🏽
Tours and direct to consumer can’t be botted 🤖
The cd shipping & sales were inflated as well…. This is nothing new. The people who control a massive market share will always find ways to keep themselves & their clients waaaaaaay above indies.
Industry loving Kendrick right now. WE GET IT 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s all fake we been knew that especially when they gave him all those Grammys but the people don’t know his lyrics 💯 just the facts
not to mention people showing videos of not like us showing and playing 100/100 times on playlists for like everybody on this planet. even after blocking the song.
as if kendrick didn't just within the past 2 years hold the achievement of having the highest grossing hip hop tour of all time LMAO y'all don't even make sense, his streams aren't mismatched with his irl impact & popularity. not denying bots, all artists have botted streams whether they're aware or not but it's not built off of nothing, which you would know, if you were smart!
