Outstanding thanks I'm pushing 70 and your know how has taught me a few things , I as a old man have a few tricks myself , again outstanding God bless you.
This is great! I’m upgrading some basic stock cabinets for my kitchen and this door upgrade tutorial is super helpful. Thank you for including so much detail!
This took so long to find and is exactly what I needed! Really didn't want to have to remove the existing face frames if I didn't have too but really wanted the full cabinet door look. Thank you so much for this!
Omg!! The before is what I want!! Exactly!! Not the color for sure! But just simple. Plan on adding WoodUBend to fronts for definition and painting top cabinet front with white and bottoms with a darker color-haven’t decided on specific color yet. Charcoal, black, grey, dark grey etc
Hi, is it possible to change the look of raised kitchen cabinets on a budget? The condition are excellent, just the fronts would be great, everything is structurally sound. Thanks for your time
Great video! Very informative. Sorry if I missed it, but did you say whether you built the doors or ordered them from an online site? I've been wanting to do this to my kitchen from the day I bought my house two years ago. I'm lucky to have a lot of cabinet space in my kitchen, but now that I'm really committing to making the change, it's looking like too much work to build the doors myself
Thanks! I ordered them online from cabinet door world, it didn't cost that much more to order them and it made sense since I only needed 3 panels. They were good quality builds and had great customer service.
Would this process be the same for a working drawer? Could you just take the measurements, order the front, remove the old front and screw the new one on?
I needed to replace a door that was broken off at one of the hinges, but the old hinge had the small holes (with inserts) screwed into the door at a different location closer to the edge of the door, and my replacement hinge, requires a 3/8 inch hold drilled into the door about 1/2 inch further into the back of the door. This means I will have 2 holes drilled into the back of the door. and then I have to insert the rubber/plastic inserts and then screw the hinges into this insert. Is this OK to do...?
I ordered them online from Cabinet Door World. I do have to say I was impressed with the quality and the measurements were spot on. It took about 5 weeks to get them though, which is the only downside to ordering them vs building them yourself. In my opinion there is little to no cost savings when you are only building a few doors!
Cabinet door World is a scamming company. They have 1.29 writing on reviews many complaints of people not getting their orders at all or getting the wrong size many times and the delays are extreme.
Apologies if I missed this, but where did you buy your hinges? Having a hard time finding hinges for faced cabinets. Trying to pull my 70's oak kitchen into the modern age.

I would have done a 1/4 gap between the 2 doors as well. As it is now, the outside of your doors don't match up exactly with the panel at the top and the gaps are uniform. Super nit picky sure but if you're going through all the effort anyways, might as well.

You are a life saver!! Have been wanting to this with kitchen cabinet fronts & new hinges that fit into current hinges holes on base cabinets!! Do you have videos for just flat cabinet door fronts? Type of wood-not pine & router on the edges? Can get WoodUBend to give a diff loot to fronts with trimming. Just wondering?
Young man your work is second to none May God continue to bless you and your work, Family.
Thank you, and God bless you and your family too
Watched so many cabinet measurement videos and keep coming back to this one! Your explanation is spot on and easy to follow. Thank you

What shade of white paint matches those cabinet doors?
This is such an incredibly helpful video, thank you so much!!
Absolutely glad you liked it!
Good info! 1/2” reveal for cabinets adjacent to a wall to allow for door opening. Is that the standard to use?
You explain this so well. Thank YOU!
Thanks!

If you are just changing the doors and hinges then absolutely!
No mention of the center gap between the two doors so there is clearance to open. You would subtract 1/2 of that form the width of each door.
I was wondering about that myself. From what I've seen around, is a minimum of 1/4 gap in between doors
Thank you for sharing this diy
You're welcome!
This is a great video, very helpful! Thank you.
Thanks! Glad it helped
Awesome video! Wondering how you painted your doors/fronts and where you got them?
I ordered them doors online from cabinet world, and painted with rustoleum white primer/paint along with aerosol polyurethane as a top coat
Great video!

Cool vid! Really good info.
Much appreciated 👍!
What kind and thickness of wood did you use to make your doors?
I custom ordered the doors. Being that I only needed 2 of them it made more sense then to purchase and mill the wood down, and make them.
