In this video, I will show and explain how I make my noodle boards. It ...
Have you ever done this using cedar?
I have not tried it on cedar. Be curious to know though 🤔
Lots of great tips! Thanks. I just got the Shop Nation dust collector for my saw. How does it work with a zero-clearance fence?
@johnmaida160 thanks! I found out that it doesn't work with the zero clearance fence. Works awesome otherwise!
@@WiscoWorkshop Thanks!
Great video!!! I am a beginner and I think I might be able to do this!
Oh my gosh, doing this is amazing! I came across it by mistake. I was looking up if you could stain and Woodburn at the same time. This came up first so I figured why not. I instantly fell right in love with it! I had no idea that you could do color, stains. I must’ve watched the video eight or nine times while I was doing this. Stopping and going along with each step. I’m doing a amount for my father and his favorite color is blue. I did the slight burn and brought out this amazing picture. I wish I could share. He is going to fall in love with it instantly, and all I can do is thank you For sharing for people like us!
@samanthah5763 that's awesome! It's definitely a unique approach to staining and a conversation starter. Thanks for watching!
I literally bought one if these yesterday, the regular 735. First time ever using one and I got great results on some rough cut oak and walnut. Wish I knew about the extractor, blew up 2 shopvac bags...Oops. I was surprised at how easy it was (newby) to use, thanks to plenty of YT videos. Thanks for the video.
Nice, you're going to love the planer. For a small shop, it'll do everything you need it to. I have a video coming up soon on installing a helical head on it.
What if you don't have a jointer or a planer can you still make this
@@peggyrussell1728 do you have a table saw by any chance?
Honestly I've just been spraying oil based spray paints into mason jars and adding solvents like acetone to keep them liquid, then using those as stain. Spray paint will dissolve into existing wood stains and oil based polyurethane as well in my experience.
@ChillyJack that's a cool idea, thanks for sharing!
This is very helpful. Now if I can just understand how to select the hinges
100% on more dye per mixing agent for cooler colors. Also...check out the Restorer for removing char. It's a game changer!
Thanks for the video! Any idea on how to make sure I get the Type12? Home Depot’s site doesn’t show what type in the specs for the 735x when ordering.

What shade of white paint matches those cabinet doors?
How to choose those colorful paints? Never saw them in the store
orange and red are the winners
This were my favorite 2
orange rules great job
I made it by myself thanks to WoodPrix.
for only $75! …. If you have 2 grand worth of equipment lol
Great video. How to plan for overlay doors was exactly what I needed to see.
Thanks! I am glad that you found it helpful.
Never (!!!) burn in the (wood)workshop! Use an outdoor space. There is no risk of fire and the smoke evaporates easily. Unless you need a new workshop and you are well insured 😉 .... and please use a vacuum or vacuum cleaner when brushing. The dust dirty your whole workshop and is difficult or impossible to remove... ☝️ Good luck 👋
This is true
Omg!! The before is what I want!! Exactly!! Not the color for sure! But just simple. Plan on adding WoodUBend to fronts for definition and painting top cabinet front with white and bottoms with a darker color-haven’t decided on specific color yet. Charcoal, black, grey, dark grey etc
Just subscribed
You are a life saver!! Have been wanting to this with kitchen cabinet fronts & new hinges that fit into current hinges holes on base cabinets!! Do you have videos for just flat cabinet door fronts? Type of wood-not pine & router on the edges? Can get WoodUBend to give a diff loot to fronts with trimming. Just wondering?
Glad I could help! No that is the only video that I have posted on refacing cabinets.
I really appreciate all the ideas and especially respect you for giving credit to others who have come up with some of the solutions you mention. I will definitely be contacting ShopNation for the dust collection on my Hercules miter saw. I love the saw, but hate the lack of usable dust collection on it. Those rubber lips suck together as soon as you put a vacuum on the back, and they PREVENT any dust collection. Thank you!!!
Thank you for watching, I think the dust collector by shop nation is a quick and cheap fix to get rid of a lot of the dust
They look like the rare yugi egyptian god card colors wow
what advice do you have for doing an entire butcher block for a standing desk
Be careful to apply your coats as evenly as possible. Consider using a pre stain. I will be doing the same setup soon, except I won't be staining the top.
Hi could you help me please? I made one of these and it didn't lie flat, I'm looking into a table top jointer but I noticed a planer, do I need both or will the jointer make the boards lay flat? Short on funds so was looking at the table top jointer Thank you!!

@@WiscoWorkshop I do
@@WiscoWorkshop yes I do
@smeg8557 ruclips.net/video/UNX-KLaAZp8/видео.htmlsi=Ko6-HNXmplWKi0hx This may help-around 3:00 into the video he gives a tip regarding joining edges, important because your saw blade may not be exactly squared. Also, when you clamp try not to clamp with a lot of force, and alternate the clamp bars on top and bottom of the work piece, this will help evenly distribute the clamping pressure so that it doesn't turn into a smile.
Can this be done with pressure treated wood. Im doing a project trying to use all old materials i got but the wood is old pressure treated boards
@maddmavic i am not sure but I wouldn't do it. Those boards are chemically treated
Really helpful video. I especially like that you mentioned the difference between the type 1 and type 12 submodels.

@@DealArtist824 I had it in my car for like an hour and a half. Watching videos to see if it was worth the money over other planers. When I saw the price history on amazon it has only been at this price like 4 times in all history, I purchased it right away.
I must ask, are you related to Mr. Haney of Green Acers? He loved to "age" furniture. 😂

Great review, very helpful and informative!
@@BeesyWoodCo. thanks, I am glad that you found it helpful!
I've watched a couple of your videos and the information has been very helpful. But even more outstanding is your presentation style, it should be the standard for instructional videos. You have a very even tone which is clear and concise. Just the right amount of information. I've watched hundreds of other videos, they should copy your style.
@garylee2731 hey thanks man, appreciate that!
Of course you wouldn’t find th colors and dye at hardware stores… you might want to try art supply stores or a beauty supply stores.
Shouldn't stain be added after all the burning considering the fumes from burning the chemicals you just applied to the wood?
Correct, you would burn then apply stain.
Thanks for recommending other sources for more info and techniques.
@hegmonster thanks for watching!
Dumb question but can I use spar urethane instead of poly on top of the stain if I do this method?
@ericg5877 i have no no issues using an oil based urethane over water based stain/dye. Just make sure you let stain completely dry.
How heavy is it?
Not heavy at all, maybe 5 or 10 lbs. Made from pine.
Great tips for your minor sauce stations. Keep up the good work.

I would use some exterior grade polyurethane
you're my man! excellent and exactly the info to make changes to my kitchen!
I appreciate that!
Any thoughts on pressure washing wood first? I know that always breaks away softer material.
I have actually done this on bigger projects and it works well if you are going for a extremely weathered look.
Great tutorial. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful! Thank you for your video! 😍🙏🎨
Thank you! Cheers!
Give shit fuck on me
Thanks, easy too follow instructions
I am glad that it helped!
Use a watered down acrylic paint (10-20 parts water to paint ratio) and brush that heavily into your pre-damaged wood, and allow it to soak in. I typically use a blend of black, white, brown, and a touch of green or even purple, which gives the wood a nice weather gray look that soaks deeply into the wood. Don't wipe it off either. Just alllow it to penetrate and let the wood absorb all of that moisture on its own. It'll look 200 years old, and sanding it doesn't usually remove any of the color afterwards, because it penetrates down about 1/4 inch. Warmer water will allow the color to penetrate deeper.
Mix all the paint colors together 1:1 ratio?
@@weigandworks6151 You'll get black.

It seems about the same as Transtint, or General Finishes premixed dyes.
