Hey April , Just let you know that I'm a retired cabinetmaker the way you are showing is an good idea I have went and seen some cabinets that could not be save but I have some that only need some TLC . So I reskin the outside of with 1/8" ply an route the openings and replace the doors & drawers with new hardware and then let the home owner do the rest !
It always amazes me how much better the cabinets look after you replace the drawer fronts and cabinet doors. I like how you use spacers to hang the new doors. Awesome Job April! 🤩😃👊

Hello April, love your videos and this one is perfectly timed. We are redoing our kitchen and this video was very helpful, went to front and center, everything they handle is painted. I looking for a company similar to them that makes custom sized doors that can be stained. We moved our refrigerator and turning the empty space into a shelved space for kitchen appliances. We need to fine a company to make the doors for that space, two cabinet doors about 18”X72”, and help would be greatly appreciated.
You make it look so easy! but would have preferred to see the items removed from the cabinets.. you even mentioned the dust that scuff sanding creates, and now it's all over those cups and stuff
How do you exactly match the color and shade of the paint to the clolor of the cabinets ordered? also what’s the paint finish that’s been used on the wall panels and doors?
Awesome videos, I keep following most of your videos on my non working days. I am off late working on an MDF cabinet and started to paint it with PU Paint finish. Used Solvent based putty, primer and then Top coat, but no matter what I do, the joints shows up. Little stressed if it will ever get resolved. Any pointers to me of what can be better solution to this?
I like the old doors better. They look better quality. The color was too dark though. I would have just sanded, primed, & and painted them. Your project came out nice though❤

DIY mean Do It Yourself rather than hiring it out for a Contractor to do. I did all the prep and install myself, not hiring it out. You don't have to make something from scratch for it to be DIY. Thanks for watching.
