Great video Jim, I always wondered how you connected all those different shafts to the heads. Your videos have made me want to before a fitter/ club maker. Looking forward to seeing more of your video’s.
Thanks for the vid Jim, I'm glad that you are still able to work from your HQ, but hope that you are staying safe. My only problem with these fitting connectors on Irons is that I find them visually distracting which affect how I can hit the Irons. For some reason, this never seems to happen when I'm testing drivers, fairways and hybrids. I once had to abandon an Iron fitting because I just couldn't hit the Irons, they just felt and looked awful! I don't know if anyone else has this problem.
There are some that are like that, you might want to concentrate on the ball and not the club. I’ve had golfer that didn’t like hitting indoors. It took about 50 shots to get comfy
I like your videos... I have been doing my own club repair fo years... I notice that you never seem to show the epoxy process and what epoxy do you use?? Thanks , and keep up the excellent work
So basically, your showing how to build a set of heads that will mimic the final build’s performance when fitting the Mizunos. This way while fitting, the fitter can “snap-on” multiple shafts.
Hi Jim, I like the shorter intro. Much better! I noticed. Thanks for all the information.

@@McGolf hitting indoors probably doesn't help, having a target to aim at makes it easier to focus I suppose. Stay safe & healthy
@@banditbaker1675 Bandit, I see you are not fitter/builder exclusive! I won't tell Ian and Matty.... 😁
Hi Neal, no I have always had a problem with commitment.....ask my wives 😉
We can work in HQ because we live above it. Works out when trying avoid traffic
Mizuno has the Mizuno shaft optimizer 3D. Supposed to be a pretty helpful in selecting a shaft. That’s pretty exciting.

Does the connector on the shaft have to be glued on? Or do the threads keep the 2 connectors together?

Perfect
Awesome content. Question: does grip weight get taken into account? Thanks for everything. Stay healthy.
Not for the build but for the fitting yes
I don't know...I think I'll have you build my sticks the old way...
This a fitting tool, actually it was the predecessor to the adjustable shaft
@@McGolf oohhh....now that actually makes sense.... outstanding !!
Jim is that the Club Conex brand or a different one?
Club conex for sure
Again, Thank you Jim! QUESTION: can you recommend a work bench for my basement? I am an amateur builder looking to set up shop in my house. Thanks!!
I made my own from 2 x 4s first now use kitchen cabinets. There some good kits from menards, Lowe’s etc
McGolf Custom Clubs Thanks for responding so quickly. I hadn't considered kitchen cabinets- thanks!!
Very interesting. Does mizuno offer many shaft options?
Tons
Yes they offer quite a few mostly true temper, nippon,
What thickness is the cutting disc on your angle grinder? Is it better to use something like a 3/64" with graphite or is 1/8" ok?
The width should ok as long as you account for it in the cut
Install ingredients a driver shaft
what was the head weight prior to and after the attachment of the collar?
You never said and that info is critical..
By reaming the hosel then boring the additional 1/4” the weight remained the same
@@McGolf perfect. wasn't sure if there were any differences that would then alter build results matching to testing results TY
The shaft adapter does add weight but it is small in comparison to the hosel adapter.
Just curious, what is the weight of such a connector, in grams? 🤔
The hosel connector is about 6-7 grams
Is it possible to do a heads only order?
Not for OEMs
I don't understand why, after reaming out to .370, you can't just use a .370 shaft and ferrule
Never mind. Just needed to watch the whole video
