Picked up bits here and there over the years on the main channel, so it’s good to hear Steve speak beyond just the “delivery guy” to his real life and outlooks - Really heart felt, keep the story coming!
I used to always burn through money on nothing. Now that I live on my boat I realize there is nothing else I want for except basics. less material things. I hope to gently work doing something I enjoy in my older age and hopefully not have to work.
We are very similar... except I have cats instead of dogs. Thanks for sharing. It's a crazy world. A "not normal" lifestyle may be the answer. Former business owner, well educated and delivering food as you are has made me happy.
Wow bro! You gotta get your shit together. You are going have a rough time when you get old. Bad thing is companies don't want to hire us old guys. Its kind of sad when you see really old guys still working.
Steve, your 1,000 Door Dash deliveries video dated 10/12/19, you wanted to put back just $500 a month, if that were true, you would have $30,000. History speaks for itself. Next month you will be 55, not exactly the age to be running deliveries in Hollywood CA. On a scooter no less. Your contemporary LONDON HUSTLE has 284K subscribers in just 2yrs and he is just 26 yrs old. I retired @60 and absolutely love every minute, now 71 and still loving every minute, I can tell you that age and type of work you choose ages you, and you have aged considerably since that 10/12 video.
You buried the lede all the way until the 11:00 mark but the quotes around broke in the title saved you from a technical foul plus the fact that you don't take any money. It's tough burning bright as a child, it's a lot of momentum to keep up through the whole race
I've been dabbling with trading since covid. But it's been pennies. I'm at 2k. Would love to learn more from you. I hate how everyone wants to sell training but I don't know who to trust.
i did all th traditional stuff worked hard saved got married has children dogs cars bike. etc. . everything is now mine still very happily married. the future is amazing. ( so long as i stay healthy ) still working for same company 36 years. never was the top paid in my field . what i did not do never was a fan of any type of drug not even aspirin never gambled ever. just felt that the odds were not in my favor. about 2 years ago confirmed that i have what ivill need to lead any life i chose. just my 3 cents.
Conservatives in california love communism, as they are on the welfare benefits most of the time, always arguing about communism on our groceries, gas, healthcare. its why they flee from their red stats to california, for free $$$, look at their homeless, lot of which are conservative and have family back in their red states. They even elected communist trump, putins friend, as they share assets from russia.
I learned to cook during the lockdowns & have not been to a restaurant since 2020 it's amazing how much money you can save! When I am thinking about buying something that cost's more than 20$ I usually wait a few days to see if I really need it or it's just something I want! My grandfather once told me to never make decisions in the heat of the moment to always let a cooler head prevail!
I feel lost now that I'm 54 years old and jobless. With $425,000 saved for an early retirement at age 60, $10,000 in an HSA, and a property that could yield an extra $200,000, what opportunities do I have for passive income?
I'm wondering if I should merge all of my investing accounts into one. How should I proceed and are there any repercussions I should be aware of if I decide to do this? In addition, I plan to sell my property, which could result in an additional 200K over time. Is it better to diversify over a few different industries or combine everything into one investing account?
These are crucial questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. She’s been making investments with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. We’re holding steady and carefully navigating more markets
Im 23, i invested in crypto a few years back. Im unsure what to keep doing. I want to have a good savings for anything. I also do instacart but want to find a full time job. I worry about the future the most since I have to be independent. No one will motivate you but yourself thats what i noticed in life
I don't think people can own their own apartment. People can only own a house, condo, mobile home, or own apartment buildingsbbut there is no such thing as someone owning an "Apartment"
I'm a firm believer that money doesn't buy happiness. Don't get me wrong, I live in the real world with everyone else, and money is definitely important. But it's really just a distraction for the most part. It does, however, certainly buy you the freedom to pursue whatever does provide you with some real fulfillment in life. Just my thoughts.
Try getting a job delivering at a pizza place. Tell them that you can work the rush Fri, Sat, and Sun. You'll like what you'll earn. SPY 500 is about to pull back. Buy the dip.
Much respect & what a great perspective.
Appreciate you sharing. So many similar points I am going through. You keep us going with the positive vibes.

It's easy to relax about being "broke" when you know you've got a jackpot coming.
I like how you don't live a normal life and not afraid to live it the way you see it brother
Thank you for sharing your story
Man, I will never forget Black Friday 2011. I was in full blown Freak out mode until I got my money from PS. Dark day. I miss Poker stars so hard.
52 here, broke due to illness & unable to work.
I doubt just about every word you said call me skeptical 😅😅
yea been also thinking about my future, i like how you said broke but not poor.
No money could’ve bought the experience you’ve had though I’m pretty old haven’t had that much of an exciting life

That is a great story. It sounds like you have lived a good life!
All your issues stem from gambling
👍🏻
Most places sell about 1% over spot. I bought a bunch of silver about 15 years ago for $14 an ounce. Precious metals is the way to go
Living in Commiefornia has something to do with it.

What happened to your main channel
It’s fine going strong

it's reasonable to consider hiring a financial counselor at this stage, but delaying retiring for a while may be a more wiser choice

great! My portfolio is not doing well. Who is your professional?
June Renae Matthysse. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment

Do you own your apartment Steve?

Bro what are you talking about? There's plenty of people that own apartments. @@jesv4026
No just rent
You can actually own an apartment if you are the owner and rent it out to tenants.
Everyone is going broke except trumps rich friends. No worries!!
If you keep gambling you will be broke broke homeless style
Crypto Steve! I think Ethereum is highly undervalued right now…not financial advice
It sounds like you have a gambling addiction!

You are NOT broke! Clickbait it what you are.

That's the way. He should get a job like that. Keep doing doordash as well. Get healthcare and benefits.
