What I love about Sherie’s performance in Last 5 Years, is she doesn’t sing it (technically) perfect. I hate when people sing these songs just to show off their voice and not to move people. Sherie let’s her emotions take over the music. Every other person I’ve seen play Kathy just does their riffs and sounds technically good but absolutely un interesting. Thats why she’s the only Kathy I really like. Same goes to Norbert. He’s the only Jamie I really like. Every other Jamie sounds like a full of himself pop star. These two are just great.

Completely agree! I’ve heard different artists sing songs from this, but I often just feel like, while they sound good, they’re just… too smooth, or too perfect.
