it was planned to be an animated movie by disney before they changed plans to be a broadway musical and then it was planned to have a live action (which was cancelled) with reports saying beyonce and christina aguillera would play aida and amneris respectively

Before Scott’s simply dreadful interpretation of Ursula in Little Mermaid, I was fortunate to see the original cast of Aida on Broadway, with Taylor Dane in for Scott. Wish I could have seen her. The album is fabulous.
