Sometimes I think Broadway performers are adrenaline junkies. Really, the choreography sometimes out of this world, and all we can do is just watch them in awe.
Others: Memphis - "Underground" or "Radio". Legally Blond - "Whipped Into Shape". Some Like It Hot - "Some Like It Hot". Great Performances doesn't have access to these shows. Too bad.
Have you seen the version performed at the Tonys from 13 years ago? Not sure how true it is to what was performed during the actual Broadway show, but it’s pretty good.
@@bridgetn2575 It was abridged, of course, but yes, I've played it over and over. There's a pirated version, I think it's still our there, but it's shaky and often blurry. Fortunately, I got to see it on Broadway which is why I wish there was a recording of it.
@@AW-hx6ne No, that was the West End production; very good but not as good. The sailors were excellent but they reminded you of young chorus boys, not sailors. The sailors on Broadway LOOKED like actual sailors and were excellent dancers, as well. The female chorus was was good but lacked the pizzaz of the Broadway girls. Broadway's Moon Face, was played by the obviously-aging Joel Grey but I'm not a fan of Robert Lindsay (West End) who I liked in "Me and My Girl" but find difficult to like. since. His performances seem too ... actor's ego, to me.
I was privileged to see a few of these on B’way. So glad these amazing moments can be shared more widely!

Thanks! I needed that! 🤸🏽♂🤸🏽♂🤸🏽♂🤸🏽♂
I saw every one of these performances live on Broadway.
I would also add Too Darn Hot from Kiss Me Kate
They tried to. It was too darn hot.
What about Contact, The Musical, the amazing dance piece by choreographer Susan Stroman?
Is there no video (complete) of the Broadway version of "Anything Goes!?" 😡

How did “King of New York” not make the list?
They probably can’t post the footage due to Disney Copyright
