Guys love your work, been binging on them, you should do more of those “build a media wall for £200” type of videos. You really help people with tight budgets. Keep it up guys. 👍
Hi guys….. Came across your RUclips channel and I must say so far from what I been watching is brilliant from start to finish. I am so impressed to all the different work you’s guys do (Execellent) I am 56 year old woman (never to old to learn diy lol) but watching you’s guy’s has learn me more than I knew so thank you. Brilliant work with the barcode style fence guys. Thank you for buying your Western Red Cedar with us and we absolutely love seeing the team in action! 🔥😍

Hey guys. Great video. I am looking to do this soon but i am having trouble with what screws are needed. I dont really want to nail my battans down. Are you able to add a link to the screws you got please?
"Hi guys, I really enjoyed the video, and I'm planning to try the same type of fence in my backyard. I have two square and level fences that I can use as references, but one of my fences is uneven, similar to the one you were working with. How did your neighbour react to the new fence not matching theirs? Especially considering their uneven sections, would they see the top and back of your new fence?"
Will you guys travel upto Nottinghamshire and come and do my fencing please, you can have all the video rights and as much tea and home made cake that you can manage ? ❤
I am planning the batten project this weekend. Got all the materials already etc etc. my only concern is that will.cthe concrete posts and block wall hold the weight? Battens will be 1.8m toll. Battens are 2x1 ones. Concrete posts feel super strong but my neighbour has already attached hers on her side. Now this will add on top of that as well. Thanks in advence
Hey HI team, love all your videos, so informative and your work is of the highest standard. I love how the final detail is so important to you and in turn gives the customer A class service!!! This cedar fence looks outstanding, I would love to have a fence like that. I am only a keen DIYer so excuse my naivety but what happens if the neighbour decides to update their fence in the future and rips out the concrete posts 😢 wouldn’t that destroy the beautiful work you did???
I'm doing a small fence/screen and was gonna use just normal screws, but after seeing this I think I should be using the ones that you're using. What are they?
There’s been lots of comments about the fence not holding up in a storm… did you get a structural engineer to assess the existing posts and calculate the wind load?
Western Red Cedar will weather over time and turn grey which is why we recommended treating it to prevent that from happening and keep its natural colour. If you’d like to know more about treating the timber you can find more information on our website!
Morning guys awesome and professional jobs, can I have a link for the screws used, I can't afford this type of timber what else would you recommend please
Excellent question! We call this the seasoning period where you allow the timber to weather in before treating. If you’d like to know more information on treating Western Red Cedar fencing, you can find it on our website!
Modern construction adhesives are very strong, this isn't that white glue you used at school. Some exterior elements on sky scrapers are held in place with double sided sticky tape these days. Power Grab and Bond is a super strong product. You should research a little before making silly comments.

I can only say.... it's all been said before. A very good, informative and practical video. Gave me some tips for my impending project!

What kind of cost would you be looking at per bay to buy the raw materials roughly for this?

Genialne !!!

Spax stainless lost head screws 😊
Cracking video and guidance, and great banter. Main thing I took away is to use a VDE screwdriver to clear out the water tracking rebate 😅
I need to do the same on my own fence and had be looking at mechanical fixings onto the concrete posts. How long will the adhesive hold?
What’s price for something like this including materials and labour

Superb Job!! Would be nice to see what the lighting looks like when it’s dark……

Some people just prefer to do things their way sometimes. DIY the fence with pine of something..
Prime example of getting it wrong from the start.
Ahh bless thanks 😊
Beautiful fence. Will it keep it’s natural colour over time?

@@southgatetimbercompany Thank you
Beautiful job, how much roughly does that timber cost
Best to head over to Southgate timber prices are all there 😁
Tasty work Fellas - Nice Job 👍🏻 - Could you tell me the model number of the table saw you’re using in the video please - superb machine?
Thanks I’ll try get it for you 😊👏🏼
If I was just leaving school I’d be begging for an apprenticeship with you lads
Appreciate that mate 😊🙏🏼
Are they self.drilling scews? They seem very slim on the screen? Are they 3.5mm or less please? Thanks
3.5mm and yes 😊😊
@@homeimprovements thank you for the reply 🤙

Hi lads are your not worried about the weight of both fences on one set of posts with wind ect
Cheers
It’ll we fine and the wind will have the same affect as previous 😊😊
The materials must have cost a fortune
Can I do this on my neighbour's fence?
Very nice! Pity you didn't show the LED's lit up.
I’d like to see how the LED light was connected to the mains, unless they are plug in.
Our bad it isn’t getting dark till past 10pm so ran out of time 😞
@@homeimprovementsdo you have any pics you could share of it at night lit up?
What’s the gear used to bond to the posts?
Pgb from ctec 😊
Where’s the after dark shots with the LEDs on😢
That's one very expensive fence, lol
Would of been cool to see the fence and night with the leds on
Yes that would HAVE been nice
I retract my negative comment in a previous video/post. Keep up the good work lads, and the content.
Much appreciated
Is a nail gun not easier?
Why did you not oil it for 6/8 weeks ?

I haven't seen a fence better than that one
😊🙏🏼
In a strong wind that whole new fencing will be one big mess on the ground.
Why?
@screambluemurder101 because its glued to the posts
To be honest I think it’ll actually make the fence stronger than it was before

moisture will eventually get in between the 2 fences and something will rot
lol no different to any other wooden fence 🤦♂️
"We will be transforming this dusty old fence into" *A KITE*
"Timba"
Them fences will be rotten in 2 years, how do you paint them... cheaper putting in new fence panels..
It’s cedar. It will not rot.
You did not show how you attach the timber to the concrete post.
We did ?
Who’s got £6k for a fence?!
