      What kind of cost would you be looking at per bay to buy the raw materials roughly for this?

    • @southgatetimbercompany
      @southgatetimbercompany 28 дней назад

      @@MrLegend139 As of June, the 20 x 45mm battens are priced at £3.29 per metre, 20 x 70mm battens are priced at £5.49 per metre, and the 20 x 95mm are priced at £6.85 per metre. So, cost is really determined by what kind of area you’re working with. We offer free, non-obligatory quotes so if you’re interested, you can contact us for a free quote!

    I am planning the batten project this weekend. Got all the materials already etc etc. my only concern is that will.cthe concrete posts and block wall hold the weight? Battens will be 1.8m toll. Battens are 2x1 ones. Concrete posts feel super strong but my neighbour has already attached hers on her side. Now this will add on top of that as well. Thanks in advence

    I need to do the same on my own fence and had be looking at mechanical fixings onto the concrete posts. How long will the adhesive hold?

    • @southgatetimbercompany
      @southgatetimbercompany Месяц назад +1

      Western Red Cedar will weather over time and turn grey which is why we recommended treating it to prevent that from happening and keep its natural colour. If you’d like to know more about treating the timber you can find more information on our website!
