I was thinking the same thing. Keep thinking I'm missing something there's no way they made the whole thing digital just to put in an analog speedometer with no other functions
This was EXACTLY the video I was looking for. My base Mazda6 from 2015 has a small multi-info thing but it lacks a compass and any temp gauge, which is kinda infuriating. Looks like the base system now has all the good info. Thanks, cutie! (Couldn't resist.)
At 6:21 you say "let's just scroll through" but you don't mention HOW to scroll through. I was hoping to find a video telling how to change that display.
Excellent - I was wondering where the mpg guage went on the left side of speedo when I mistakenly pushed the dimmer 'knob' when resetting Trip A/B to zero after fuel fillup
I have a 2024 CX-5 Premium. My display matches the setup at 3:20. I've had a problem where the vertical bar graph on the left of the speedo and the distance to empty graph on the right of the speedo go away. Any idea where the setting is or how to restore it?
I'll answer my own question here for others future reference. Push and hold the screen brightness knob to change between blank or two types of gauge displays. I finally found it on page 179 or 4-22 of the PDF version of the owners manual.
How do I change the language in the first instrument cluster, on the right side? The center tablet of the car is in english but the cluster is in german. Mazda CX5 , 2019, 2.0. Thank you!
Good video. I have 2023 CX-5 Signature. Weather alerts every 15 seconds very annoying - how can you control or turn them off. “Ignore” function is meaningless..thanks
I don't see the outdoor temperature reading on my 23 Mazda CX-5 signature instrument panel. But I see it in your video. So I will go and look and maybe perhaps it is not clicked on in settings.
so, those two little lines on the bottom are 'lane departure reading" ? - Why then when I am driving my 2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring do those lines seem to dim every now and then? I thought it had something to do with a car in front of me?? - Keep in mind, I am not talking about the lines on each side of the 'car' on the speedometer - it's the two little line below that
Hey Jonathan--love your videos and enthusiasm! Question: is there a way to activate Traffic Sign Recognition in the non-digital cluster 2023 Mazda CX-5 Preferred trim? I know it shows if I have the Navigation Screen on the Infotainment Display, but I don't always want that screen displayed. Thanks!
I wouldn't mind the old-school look so much, but at least offer a digital speed readout as a driver option. It's 2023 for gosh sakes. Instead we're stuck with a large analog dial, fully half of which is devoted to the 80-160 mph zone that no one uses. Wasted space, Mazda
Most new cars are like this now, and just swapping out an instrument cluster is enough to make them display the miles from a used cluster. However, if you plug into the ODB port, you can find out the true miles of a car.
Sorry but the digital display is really useless other than going between digital number readout of your MPH. Hopefully Mazda makes it a bit more customizable in coming year or so models
I have grand touring. I prefer this guage cluster over the lower trims. I do have the heads up display so not having the digits doesnt bother me but yes agree they should have thrown that in. AND AND TIRE PRESSURE Read. Mazda missed that big time.
It’s a shame Mazda refuses to use an all digital instrument cluster in any of their gasoline vehicles. The part-digital/part analog is silly….and a lot of cars do this. Why? I assume to save a few bucks. In 2023…analog should be gone.
@@jbeechuk Cost. Every company, well, maybe except Apple, needs to produce to a price point. Exceed what your potential customers are willing to pay and they'll head elsewhere. While producing digital may not increase costs over analog, development costs tilt the equation. It's a delicate balance that all companies have to consider. Mazda appears to be able to sell all or nearly all their production. Changing features only helps when it increases sales.
Lower cost components also help the consumer when vehicle goes out of warranty and needs a repair. I know most of us, OK, all of us will NEVER consider driving a vehicle that doesn't have full bumper bumper warranty!! 😂😂😂 But in the event that RARITY happens to occur, you'll be glad they used the cheaper component instead of embedding a high end gaming pc into the dash. Heck, my neighbor just paid $7000 to have the battery replaced in a Prius with 157000 miles on it!!! I usually junk a car that old with a repair bill like that!! I'd rather put the money into shiny new car smell! He's down 7 grand and still driving a car that looks like it's been in a fire with rickety seats and a radio that barely works! But he's getting GREAT gas mileage!😂😂 Umm, no thanks.
Starting to see discounts off msrp for new Mazdas! It might be about time to make a purchase
Just seems odd that the speedometer is analog and doesn’t give an option for a digital readout of speed.
I was thinking the same thing. Keep thinking I'm missing something there's no way they made the whole thing digital just to put in an analog speedometer with no other functions
digital readout is on the head up display👍🏽
I have this car and love it but this is my one thing that I wish was different
The head up display reads digital.😊
ANNOYING AS HELL

Hi! How to set the speedometer to numerical please?
Does it show speed in digital form in the cs 5 normal trim?
Thanks for making this video, it was really informative! 💪
At 6:21 you say "let's just scroll through" but you don't mention HOW to scroll through. I was hoping to find a video telling how to change that display.
Press the "info" button on your steering wheel and display will change
Pressing and holding the dimmer dial changes the info displayed on either side of the Speedo as well.
Oh yes, I forgot about that 😬
Excellent - I was wondering where the mpg guage went on the left side of speedo when I mistakenly pushed the dimmer 'knob' when resetting Trip A/B to zero after fuel fillup
I believe if you hold the dimming stalk in on the 7" display, you can change the look of the mpg and distance to empty.
The deal breaker for me in this car is no digital speedometer, poor lane keep assist, and no individual tire pressure monitors.
I wish it was that “ Chilly” here in Florida …. Ugh. Love that nice cool weather. Time to move and get another new Mazda on the Blvd,. !!!
What button you use to scroll information
Same question
Scroll through where?
How can we display the gear in which we're in instead of only showing "D"?
The only way is to be in S mode and shifting through the gears
does it come with individual tpms means tire pressure for each individual tire display?
The CX-5 TPMS does not display individual tire pressures.

Does anyone know what's the engine temperature should be when engine is warm. Mine shows almost in the middle 210F so I wonder if that's normal
That’s exactly how it’s supposed to be
thank you so much for this. i will be buying a cx5 turbo within the coming months
How to scroll in 2.5s multi info display?
How do I scroll mines stuck on saying service due in and I can’t change anything please tell me :)

Please share the answer when you get it.
Settings on large display has language choices.

Mazda doesn't show tire pressure information?????? I am shocked
No turbo boost display?
Does it have the speed on the window??
Where do I scroll?
why is the 0 to 40 numbers brighet then from 60 to 160 MPH
Yes, Why do speedo numerals sometimes show bright and other, higher numbers are greyed out???
Does the oem navigation card make the turns and speed limit show up in the information display on the lower trim levels without the center lcd screen?
I have the preferred trim, it does not. Only shows on the digital cluster.
I have cx5 of 2021 and i dont know how to change the language of dashboard to english/us. does anyone know how to help me?

Having dealt with numerous instrument cluster problems over the years, I'll take the $650 cluster over the $2500 cluster, thank you.
One thing I think it pretty dumb is the two fuel gauges they could totally use that other one for something different.
What about Bluetooth set up with iphone
Well what happens when an all digital setup stops working and you can't show how many miles are in the vehicle when you're trying to sell/trade?
That's way better to stay with classic one. More new technology in car more problems. Same as a turbo just better and safe to stay with 2.5L only
Amen!

HOW WE CHANGE THE JAPAN LANGUAGE TO ENGLISH LAGUAGE
On large display screen where radio is, go to settings. Language, timezones etc is in there
But doesn’t show how to change.
How do you scroll through? That’s literally why I clicked on the video.
So I’m clear, you’re wanting to know how to scroll through the fuel and trip info?
