Fitness ads: “You don’t have to follow long arduous workout routines and eat boring foods to have the physique of Hollywood actors!” Hollywood actors: “We had to follow long arduous workout routines and eat boring foods.”
@hypocrisy police The problem is it's completely false. They create an unhealthy relationship with food, which is fine for a movie role since it isn't required to stay lean after filming...plus it helps if you get paid millions I guess? The "chicken, rice and broccoli" is more than boring...it is also exremely unhealthy and counterproductive since you'll be deficient in >90% of all nutrients. Even their trainers and nutritionists give a totally different explanation of the training and nutrition aspects (more different foods, less training...) which makes me wonder why celebrities always want to make the transformation seem like a torture. Discipline? They literally only "get" in shape, apart from notable exceptions such as brad pitt (who is naturally lean since...ever). How is it discipline if almost all of them rebound like crazy after the movie? That's the problem, people still view 'healthy' or 'fit' as a synonym of 'torture' or 'discipline' because of very false answers and examples like these when in fact it's much, much easier.

Yeah a lot of people here are just like protein protein protein, but reality, to gain muscle mass, you need good carbs since carbs release insulin, and you need insulin to repair and build muscle
Well I mean these actors have nutritionists that tell them what to eat and trainers that tell them how to exercise so they are just passing on the information when asked in interviews
@@courtneyruebens8134 They often have little more than "broscientists" though, and nutritionist isn't a recognised health professional in many countries (whereas dietitian is). Additionally many of these actors, like Bale and Jackman, have talked about their concern with the long term health consequences of radical body transformation over time. And the main thing to remember too is most of these guys don't look like that most of the time. They're like a boxer preparing for a fight; the train for 3-6 months before shooting then just let it go afterwards and go back to normal.
Their answers are so rehearsed because they took steroids as one of the main ingredients to get ripped and they know they're lying in your face if they don't mention that, yet they can not admit doing something that's not legal.
I quit smoking and started working out about a year ago. Getting where you want to be sucks, but after you get used to it, it isn't so bad. After a while, you don't even want the bad stuff anymore. I still indulge sometimes though. I think you have to in order to stay on track.
I think it would be the wrong approach to force yourself that you cant eat that "bad stuff" again. Doing really "bad" food rarely isnt going to throw you back or destroy anything. For me, once in a while i eat alot of shitty food for a whole day. It doesnt has any impact if you eat good 26days+ on average every month.
"actors" give advice, as if they're not just all babysat by their coaches and trainers and told exactly what to do and what to eat. Respect to the average person who works a full time job and still puts in the work in diet and training without having anyone spoon feed them. They are babysat and paid to workout, and given PEDs by a professional a lot of the time. No I will not watch this video nor take their meaningless advice - But I will show my respect for each and every one of you who is reading this comment, has a lot of occupations like university, full time job or a family, and still works their ass of in the gym and on their food. You are the true hero here.
the title of the video is the only wrong thing here . The actors dont even give any advice - what i so far understood. They just tell their expierience with food/calorie amount and excercise with day routine. Dont take it personal buddy - I , as an engineer student , am ripped to - i eat 3200 calories a day too with my weekly meal preps and protein shake and omega 3 suplement. Its really not hard as few of them (but not all) tell the audience. the amount of workout each time was 1:30h so not even that time consuming - the intensity those actors do to get to the movie shape is even bad for their future because their body get used to the hard weight and when they are finished with their role in the following movie , they cant get to that shape again so easily because their body only accept the hard level excercise and not the healthy one - so its money for them - but indeed bad for their aging
Chris evans is a gent. She tried to bait him with the "keep up" question... seeing if he'd name drop his colleagues, but he turned it to the comics. Mans a professional.
i partially disagree because all of them were on a busy schedule and working on movie roles. so they only had soo much time to lose weight and add muscle
plus they sound like they don't know what they are doing although there are a couple like Mark Walberg is more experienced but quite a bit of them eat bland foods which you don't have to.
7:48 - Sly gives good advice for the common man - eat as healthy as you can 5 days a week, and do a little cheating for the other 2. I've been doing this for years and I think it's helped this 51 year old stay fairly fit. And I think he ended up banging the reporter.

Thank you I needed a bit of inspiration. I started working out in 2019 at 252 lbs, lots of bad food and a belly that I was really embarrassed with. In February of 2020 and the beginning of the quarantine I had got down to 195 lbs. Stuck with the excess skin flab around where the belly used to be I got to work on trying to do what I had to lose that. I'm now fluctuating between 185 and 190, workout by walk/jogging 15 miles a day with weights and core training 2 times a week and upper body training 3 times a week. And yes in order to stay that weight and strength I have to continue to work out like that. I love to eat and unfortunately within a short time can probably put on 20 lbs if I stopped working out. I'm 65 and feel the soreness they spoke of, the early to bed early to rise and all the other issues they all brought up about food. But if you think you can and don't you won't if you want too you will. I like what Chris Prat said at the end. 8 months sounds like a lot of time when you're looking at it in the future but time is going to by just as fast weather you workout or not. It's better to work out and get into shape. I'm not ripped I'm in a hell of a lot better shape now than I was 16 months ago.
Pratt was a wrestler in HS and probably had a great core to begin with even if he got soft around the middle for a while until he became a big star (think his Andy days on Parks and Rec). It's not unbelievable that he'd get great gains by both bulking and then cutting in a time frame like that. So much of this stuff comes down to how well you train when you're young. Build a great foundation then and it will last a lifetime. I can be done later, but it's harder...but...and this is important...it can be done so don't give up.
It's even funnier when you realize the ideal male physique takes years of pain and discipline to acquire, while the ideal female physique just requires not overeating.

The last Pratt bit was definitely the most poignant. "Time's gonna go by either way, so the only question is, who do you want to be 8 months from now."
I remember when I used to bulk up. I worked out if I had my own plot of land and needed to breed my own chickens, how many I would need weekly. It's crazy, and not natural. It's something like 5-9 chickens a day - they have a turn around of 6weeks...

If you ever tried to bulk up you know exactly what they mean when they say eating is the hardest part. It becomes a chore and you start to dislike eating because you have to do so much of it and it makes you feel like shit. Speaking of shit, because of all the protein you eat expect to be farting and shitting a lot lol.
I dirty bulked and it was fun. Ate 3 square meals, protein shakes, and my bulking meal: 2 mcdoubles, 2 mcchickens, large fries and a large coke. every day for 7 months. Still recovering from it lmao
Yep. When I go on cycle and bulk up, I eat 5000-6000 calories a day. It's five meals a day. Very time consuming and eating the same bland meals all the time sucks.
Pretty dumb thing to say. I go to the gym because I want to improve my physique, I don't really need to since I'm an athlete and train in a sport which doesn't require much muscle. Saying you prefer comfort over aethestics is just something a very lazy person would say.

@hypocrisy police
The problem is it's completely false.

They're like a boxer preparing for a fight; the train for 3-6 months before shooting then just let it go afterwards and go back to normal.
dietitians generally do not know how to give this kind of specialized advice. concerning macros, cut weight and nutrition for body building.

the title of the video is the only wrong thing here .
