Great comparison video. But, I think I would have re-shot the 300 Win Mag. I think because it hit much closer to the outer edge than the other two, its power was used more to knock the plate over and penetrated less than it otherwise might have. Just my five Cents.
The bullet just splattered on impact especially with the 300 win mag seem to splatter more than did damage to the cast iron, there was bullet pieces laying everywhere there when I was done, but after the video I hit it again with the 300 win mag using a 180 gr soft point hunting bullet and it broke clean through it breaking a big chunk off.
No matter what the test results show, the 300 win mag always wins out of those three in speed energy power performance and longer distance. Go for the others if you wanna be cheap and less loud about it.
30-06 got a bigger bulge because you hit it away from the dome in the center of the disc where it is going to be much stronger. Not sure how "crazy" the results were since they all more or less performed as one another
308 W and 30 06 S, there is almost negligible difference, I hunt both and know the ammo, but the 300 WM, it is impressive on target, it is an amazing caliber, but in Europe I question its use, it kicks like a mad horse.
Im trrying to find out what rifle caliber/cartridge would be most efficient as a short distance self defence against Polar Bears. Would be interested to see you do a video on that, unless you got one already.

The 300 win mag is 3150 fps and 3965 ft/lbs which is a wicked round. The 30-06 has 2800fps and only 3133 ft/lbs. The 308 does pretty good also with 2600 fps and 2700ft/lbs.

Most people don’t have a need for a .300 win mag bc of there locations. And I paid more for my 30-06 and ar-10 cost more than my 300 win mag😂

308 is enough only slightly more damage or power it seems with the other loads
