Silent Light - Chrono Trigger (Secret of Mana Soundfont)

I've had this almost done for a while so I decided to finally finish it up. but while I was typing out the script for the tutorial I downloaded a new SPC player, which shows a lot more details about the instruments in each song. and I found that surprisingly, the pan positions of the choir and strings don't just stay in one place, but sweep slightly from left to right (you might be able to hear it if your speakers/headphones have good stereo separation). it was really cool to find that out, but it threw a wrench in the works because that meant last night wasn't just about finishing this, but figuring out and adding those new elements as well. tough, but I think it was really worth it. that new player means my stuff in the future can become even more accurate, even if it's for things most people wouldn't usually notice!
I need to figure out how to boost my viewings... I see people in my recommended with low sub counts but high views for songs that aren't even that well-known... that would be kinda cool 🥺👉👈

It's funny, Secret of Mana was formerly a proto-concept for Chrono Trigger, so this amazingly fits the bill.
Do Secret of the Forest next with the SoM sf, it deserves it so much

Fun fact: Nobuo Uematsu composed this piece, and a few other ones for chrono trigger

He did a fine job of looking at Mitsuda's work and mimicking it, because I had no idea this was his.
It must've been surreal for Mitsuda considering the repertoire Uematsu already had by then.

Uematsu’s style is most evident at 0:52, where the pan flute definitely sounds like ff6

I think SoM2 is much better. The remake of it from a few years ago is also well done.

@@RareCondition Trials is cool. The remake probably has my favorite gameplay in the entire series. The SNES version is alright, but there's some really bad grinding near the end with the Divinodon hunt and the ??? Seed farming.
